LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Jan. 14 for Preston Lamar English, 32, Densmore Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with first-degree felonies of aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery, fifth-degree felony having weapons while under disability and two counts of misdemeanor aggravated menacing.

English was accused of allegedly climbing through the window of an East Liverpool residence on Dec. 9, 2025, brandishing a firearm toward a man and woman, making several threats while pointing the firearm toward them and taking the man’s personal firearm from him. According to the police affidavit, English allegedly chased the man out of the residence down the street and pushed the woman down while going after the man. Officers were able to locate one spent round outside of the address. He was allegedly prohibited from having a firearm due to a previous drug conviction.

A preliminary hearing was set Jan. 14 for Natasha Lynn Thomas, 41, Aliquippa, Pa., charged with fourth-degree felony grand theft auto for allegedly stealing a truck from United Rental in St. Clair Township on Jan. 8. The truck had a tracker which officers used to find the truck in Liverpool Township and saw the defendant running through yards in an attempt to flee. A witness allegedly saw her steal the truck, the affidavit said.

A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Jan. 14 for Douglas A. Davis, 20, Walnut Ridge, Salineville, charged with first-degree felony failure to verify change of address and misdemeanor falsification for allegedly failing to notify the sheriff’s office that he had moved from the residence listed on his sex offender registration as of Jan. 8 and falsified his sex offender registration on Nov. 3 in Columbiana County.

A pretrial was set Jan. 21 for James T. Sturgell, 20, East Fourth Street, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching a woman in the face and pushed her head into the car pillar on Jan. 8 in Salem.

A pretrial was set March 24 for Adam M. Archer, 49, Canton, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website of two females and arranging on his alleged lunch break from working construction at Crestview schools to meet the two females for sexual activity in exchange for $120, then traveling to East Palestine for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.

A pretrial was set March 24 for Skyiler Russell Crowe, 18, East Clark Street, East Palestine, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a woman in exchange for $80 in her vehicle, with Crowe allegedly walking to the meeting location on Jan. 2 in East Palestine with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.

Eric Michael Hebb, 54, Market Street, East Liverpool, was fined $400 and sentenced to 19 days in jail, with credit for 19 days served, for theft and possessing criminal tools for failing to pay for three items valued at $120 at the Calcutta Walmart by using a box cutter to cut open a two-pack of two-way radios, put a pack of batteries in his pocket and switched tags on a box of cordless phones, paying 35 cents for the phones on Aug. 20.

Robert McLaughlin, 65, Lincoln Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to five days in jail, with credit for five days served, leaving zero time left to serve for assault amended from domestic violence. He was accused of pushing a woman in the chest when she attempted to break up a fight between the defendant and another man on Jan. 1 in East Liverpool.

Wayne K. Ayers Jr., 58, Murry Avenue, Minerva, was fined $100 and sentenced to eight days in jail, with credit for eight days served, for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Ayers was accused of being voluntarily intoxicated and acting in a disorderly manner at a property on North Cunningham Road, Salem, then was given a courtesy transport to an East Pershing Street, Salem where he continued to act disorderly and swore at police officers, then resisted arrest by refusing to put his hands behind his back and pulling his right arm under his body on Dec. 31.

Zachary A. Taylor, 37, Rose Drive, Lisbon, was fined $300 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 21 days suspended and credit for nine days served, for three counts of criminal trespass. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim. Taylor was accused of trespassing at a property on state Route 45 in Center Township on June 14, 2025, again on June 27, 2025 and on July 1, 2025. He had been trespassed from the property in April 2025.

Aleia R. Hawk, 24, Lacroft Avenue, East Liverpool, waived extradition to West Virginia after being charged Jan. 7 as a fugitive from justice for a conspiracy charge.

A pretrial was set March 24 for Uriah R. Mitchell, 20, McDonald Street, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly stealing a Twisted Tea valued at $3.42 from Sheetz in St. Clair Township on Jan. 1. He was also fined $30 for a no seat belt charge.

A pretrial was set March 2 for Gary B. Reynolds, 66, Youngstown, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing glass smoking pipes with burnt residue during a traffic stop on Aug. 8, 2025 Unity Township.

A pretrial was set March 23 for Michael W. Gasaway, 45, Black Road, Lisbon, charged with prevention of authorized hunting, fishing and trapping for allegedly releasing his dogs and riding an ATV around the neighboring property, affecting a hunter who was legally hunting on the property, with the defendant’s dogs shown on a trail camera urinating on a corn pile used for hunting and going to the hunting location in November and December 2025 in Center Township.

Jonas J. Miller, 38, state Route 644, Salineville, was fined $400 for hunting without permission and a miscellaneous wildlife violation for allowing his juvenile son to hunt unaccompanied Dec. 5 in Franklin Township without permission on a property and helping him drag the deer back to their property.

Brandon Lee Dillon, 42, Louisville, was fined $200 for hunting white tailed deer without resident deer permit on Dec. 1 in Franklin Township.

Randy L. Muschweck-Felton, 24, Steubenville Pike Road, Lisbon, was fined $300 for hunting white tailed deer without a non-resident deer permit and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle for having a loaded firearm on a side by side and no valid deer permit on Dec. 6 in Center Township.

Mark A. Huyghe, 67, Uhrichsville, was fined $200 for failure to obtain permission for failing to first obtain permission from neighboring landowners when he tracked a deer he shot on another property on Dec. 4 in Madison Township.

A probation violation hearing was set March 11 for Brandon M. Dorion, 25, Akron, for a 2025 case of possessing criminal tools and soliciting for an incident in January 2025 in East Palestine.

A pretrial was set March 16 for Chloe E. Baker, 212, Inez Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with operating a vehicle impaired first offense and OVI breath first offense.

A pretrial was set March 17 for James A. Utt, 39, Summit Street, Salem, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense and assured clear distance.

A pretrial was set March 25 for Patrick A. Lattanzio, 36, North Beaver Street, Lisbon, charged with OVI first offense and reasonable control. He was fined $150 for speeding.

A pretrial was set March 17 for Joseph P. Desalvo Jr., 49, East Third Street, Salem, charged with OVI second offense and speeding.

A pretrial was set March 18 for Michael John Cheuvront, 56, Beaver Falls, Pa., charged with driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set March 18 for Kayde Banister, 20, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, charged with OVI first offense and a tail light violation.

A pretrial was set March 17 for Joshua Ray Ochsenbine, 34, South Market Street, Minerva, charged with OVI second offense and reasonable control.

A pretrial was set March 17 for Ruthann M. Rose, 42, Seigler Road, Salineville, charged with driving under suspension, operation without proof of financial responsibility and muffler excessive noise.

A pretrial was set March 23 for Anthony Ray Powell, 33, Riverside Avenue, Wellsville, charged with reckless operation.

A pretrial was set March 17 for Randy C. Nussbaum, 38, East Clark Street, East Palestine, charged with driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set March 24 for William J. Boyd, 40, Manor Lane, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension and a turn signal violation.

A pretrial was set March 25 for Lawrence B. Williams, 22, Youngstown, charged with driving under suspension and speeding.

A pretrial was set March 25 for Samantha M. Unger, 19 Boardman, charged with traffic control devices.

A pretrial was set March 24 for Scott David Shreve, 37, Logan Street, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension and failure to display valid sticker.

Christopher Harold Valentine, 29, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $130 for non compliance driving under suspension and no seat belt. There was no fine for a texting while driving charge, with a distracting drive course completed.

Keith Allen Merriman, 57, state Route 39, Salineville, was fined $90 for expired plate and failure to have a functioning brake light. A charge of driving under suspension was dismissed.

John Kendrew, 52, Eureka Road, Columbiana, was fined $100 for a temporary permit violation.

Dalen Maurice Mays, 34, Youngstown, was fined $50 for speeding.

John R. Meyer, 33, Niles, was fined $75 for speeding.

Jessie Guy Barcus, 28, Lacroft Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for illegal plates and expired license.
