LISBON — A Salem man who threatened to kill employees at the Counseling Center on state Route 154 in Lisbon received his punishment recently in Columbiana County Municipal Court. Ryan M. Thompson, 43, Jennings Avenue, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 156 suspended and credit for 24 days served, two years probation and 20 hours for aggravated menacing and possessing criminal tools. Thompson made threatening calls to the Counseling Center and left threatening voicemails on Sept 4.
Jonathan Lagone, 23, West Wilson Street, Salem, was bound over to Common Pleas Court charged with fourth-degree domestic violence. Lagone allegedly spit on a pregnant woman, hit her in the face, placed his forearm against her throat, pinned her to a wall, grabbed her by the hair and took her phone to prevent her from calling for help on Sept. 20 at his home. The woman said she was able to escape through a window and call for help.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Oct. 9 for Corneil L. Haskins, 25, Youngstown, charged with second-degree felony burglary and misdemeanor resisting arrest. Haskins allegedly fled from a home on Crestview Road in Fairfield Township on Sept. 28 after officers received a report of a suspected burglary in progress. He was apprehended with K-9 deployment.
Ian A. Wellington, 53, Fife Coal Road, Wellsville, was fined $150 for driving under suspension and marked lanes.
Anthony R. Kelly, 37, Wood Street, East Palestine, was fined $950 and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 105 suspended and credit for 55 served, two years probation and 40 hours of community service for three counts of aggravated menacing, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for three separate incidents. On Dec. 22, Kelly, during an argument with his neighbor over a dog on his property, screamed and cursed at the neighbor. With officers on the scene, Kelly continued to yell at the neighbor and challenged him to a fight. When officers attempted to arrest Kelly but he grabbed on to the door frame to impede the arrest. In a separate incident on Nov. 8, Kelly threatened to harm and kill a man. On Oct. 7, Kelly threatened to shoot an employee of East Palestine Schools via email.
A pretrial hearing was set Oct. 6 for Ariel L. Durham, 36, Duck Creek Road, Salem, charged with illegal use of drug paraphernalia. Durham was allegedly found to be in possession of a metal spoon with burnt residue during a traffic stop by the Ohio State Highway Patrol in Columbiana County on Sept. 27.
A pretrial hearing was set Dec. 15 for Calli N. Sorge, 18, Ingles Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with contributing to the unruliness of delinquency of a minor. Sorge allegedly persuaded a juvenile to deface property of East Liverpool City Schools on Sept. 12.

A pretrial hearing was set Nov. 24 for Kelsey E. Joy, 32, East Lincoln Street, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence. Joy allegedly struck a man in the face at her residence on Sept. 26.
A pretrial hearing was set Oct. 20 for Scott Cooper II, 41, Seventh Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license, unauthorized use of a plate, and failure to display a valid sticker.
Ruth A. Dixon, 67, Fair Avenue, Salem, was fined $500 and sentenced to 90 days susended, two years probation and 20 hours of community service. Dixon was caught on video taking money from while employed as a cashier at Walmart in Salem. She admitted to taking $95.80 while working on multiple occasions.
Kenzi A. Hozak, 18, Beaver Falls, was fined $100 for texting while driving.
A pretrial hearing was set Jan. 7 for Joshua M. Wix, 38, Leavitsburg, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. Wix allegedly agreed to exchange $140 for sexual activity with an undercover agent and traveled to East Palestine on Sept. 27 to do so.
A pretrial hearing was set Dec. 16 for Dierrick J. Young, 20, Sprucevale Road, Rogers, charged with miscellaneous wildlife for driving through a dove field on Aug 31.
William L. Roberts, 38, Yates Road, Salem, was fined $200 and two days in jail for disorderly conduct. Roberts became “irate and belligerent” with officers after he was observed while stumbling intoxicated on East State Street in Salem on Sept. 28.
A pretrial hearing was set Nov. 24 for Darrin L. Harsh Jr., 31, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for taking her phone from a woman at his residence and stopping her from leaving.
A pretrial hearing was set Dec. 15 for Michael A. Namath, 40, Beaver Falls, charged with speed.
Aaron G. Morgenstern, 44, Jeannette, Pa. was fined $750 for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. Morgenstern agreed to exchange money for sexual activity with an undercover agent and traveled to East Palestine on Jan. 10 to do so.
Elwood E. Williams, 27, Duke Vodrey Road, East Liverpool, was fined $500 and sentenced to 90 days in jail suspended for criminal damaging. He was also placed on two years probation and 40 hours of community service. Williams destroyed tables and chairs at a Wilbert Avenue residence on March 4.
Marquea R. Travis, 30, Birch Road, East Liverpool, was fined $300 and sentenced to 90 days in jail suspended, two years probation and 20 hours of community service for theft. Travis failed to scan $156 worth of merchandise at the self checkout at the Calcutta Walmart on June 14. Darian J. Bradley, 30, Midland, was fined $50 for speed. A charge of no motorcycle endorsement was dismissed.
A pretrial hearing was set Nov. 3 for Paul L. Beaver, 35 Orchard Street, East Liverpool, charged with unauthorized use of a plate and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Velez, 34, Timber Run Street, New Waterford, was fined $750 and sentenced to 90 days in jail suspended, two years probation and 20 hours of community service for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. Velez agreed to exchange money for sexual activity with an undercover agent and traveled to East Palestine on Nov. 6 to do so.
A pretrial hearing was set Dec. 11 for Joseph D. Stewart, 50, Youngstown, charred with telecommunications harassment. Stewart allegedly sent a Salem woman a series of unwanted texts around July 15 after he was advised to cease all contact.
A pretrial hearing was set Oct. 2 for Michael A. Howell, North Jefferson Street, Lisbon, charged with resisting arrest. Howell allegedly hid when officers attempted to serve an active warrant on Sept. 23.
Lucas H. Uphole, 43, Somer Street, Leetonia, was fined $150 for reckless operation. A charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed.
Jalen Lewis, 19, Shadylane Drive, East Liverpool, was fined $250, sentenced to 30 days in jail with 29 suspended, two years of probation and 20 hours of community service for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence for leaving visible marks on a woman following an altercation at his home on Sept. 13.
Jesse F. Cabello, 39, Oak Street, Leetonia, was fined $300 and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 176 suspended and credit for four days served, two years of probation and 50 hours of community service for assault, amended from domestic violence, for pinning a woman down at his residence on Sept. 20.
William. L. McMillen III, 41, Benton Road, Salem, was fined $300 and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 177 suspended and credit for three served, two years of probation and 40 hours of community service for assault. McMillen kicked a 72-year-old man in the back at his residence on Sept. 12.
