Grand Jury
LISBON — Two defendants facing drug charges were served recently with secret indictments issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury.
Joshua Board, 35, Windrose Court, Columbiana, was charged with two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, one a third-degree felony and one a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine in an amount equal or greater than bulk but less than five times bulk and lisdexamfetamine on May 12, 2024.
Tyler Weaver, 27, Spring Valley Road, Salineville, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on Aug. 12, 2024.

LISBON — A Lisbon man who violated the terms of his probation for a 2022 case was sentenced to 12 months in prison for domestic violence and obstructing official business, but with credit for 210 days already served.
Jontay Johnson, 30, Green Tree Place, appeared recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court for the probation violation hearing. His probation was dishonorably terminated. Johnson received 12 months for the third-degree felony domestic violence charge and 90 days for the misdemeanor obstructing charge, but to be served at the same time. With the credit, the prison term will be shortened.
According to court records, Johnson attempted to harm or harmed a woman on April 5, 2022 and had previous convictions for domestic violence.

— Ryan Vucina, 31, Ellwood City, Pa., was placed on a treatment plan for three years after pleading guilty to trespass in a habitation, a fourth-degree felony, with credit for three days served. The trespassing incident occurred on March 17, 2021.
— Benjamin Corll, 38, Fairfield School Road, Columbiana, was placed on a treatment plan for three years after pleading guilty to theft, a fourth-degree felony. Corll was accused of stealing $5,494 from the Crestview Elementary PTO between May 16, 2020 and Jan. 4, 2022.
— Jamie Miller, 50, Pancake Clarkson Road, Rogers, was placed on a treatment plan for three years after pleading guilty to theft, a fifth-degree felony, for stealing $1,899 from Dollar General on Jan. 3. Miller was ordered to pay restitution of $1,899 to Dollar General.
— Kayla Duffield, 36, Blackmore Street, East Liverpool, was placed on a treatment plan for two years after pleading guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for possessing amphetamine on Nov. 10, 2024.
— Roni Wafler, 45, Jackson Street, Kensington, was placed on a treatment plan for two years after pleading guilty to possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fourth-degree felony, for possessing fentanyl on July 21, 2023.
— Joseph Pedro, 59, Maplewood Drive, Columbiana, was placed on a treatment plan for two years after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, for possessing cocaine on Jan. 5, 2024. He received credit for one day served.
