LISBON — A Salem woman convicted of a drug charge was sentenced to seven months in prison.
Kimberly Jackson, 39, old state Route 558, appeared for sentencing recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. She received credit for two days already served in jail.
Jackson possessed methamphetamine on July 29, 2023.
Also in Common Pleas Court:
— Alysha Fairbanks, 35, state Route 45, Lisbon, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, with sentencing set for Aug. 11, for possessing methamphetamine on July 16, 2023.
— Lekeith Brooks, 39, Youngstown, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, a third-degree felony, with sentencing set for Aug. 15, for possessing cocaine in an amount equal or greater than 10 grams but less than 20 grams on Oct. 25, 2022.
— John Anderson, 61, Sharpsville, Pa., pleaded guilty to grand theft, a fourth-degree felony, with sentencing set for Aug. 15, for stealing $9,035 from Busy Beaver Building Center in Columbiana County from Oct. 25, 2023 to Nov. 8, 2023.
— Kelsea Campbell, 32, Monaca, Pa., was placed on a treatment plan for three years after pleading guilty to possession of heroin and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, both fifth-degree felonies, and misdemeanor possession of drugs. Campbell possessed heroin, fentanyl and alprazolam on June 5, 2021.

LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, cases against Thomas Pitts, 42, Foundry Hill Road, Hanoverton, were bound over to the county grand jury for fourth-degree felony assault on a police officer, fifth-degree felony obstructing official business and misdemeanor resisting arrest for allegedly attempting to flee after being taken into custody for a warrant, refusing to listen to commands and striking a deputy in the face with his elbow while resisting on May 22 in Hanover Township.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set June 12 for Christopher Tarter, 31, Akron, charged with third-degree felony compelling prostitution, fourth-degree felony unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, fifth-degree felonies of importuning and possessing criminal tools and misdemeanor engaging in prostitution for allegedly requesting sexual conduct for an agreed upon price of $220 from an undercover agent posing as a 15-year-old female and her mother, then driving to Salem on June 2 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.
Mark Foden, 55, Main Street, Wellsville, was fined $675 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 144 days suspended and credit for six days served, leaving a balance of 30 days still to serve in jail for falsification, theft and assault. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and to have no contact with the victim or Walmart in East Liverpool. Foden stole two items worth $50.95 at the Calcutta Walmart on July 2, then lied to police saying he left the items in the parking lot when they were actually in the vehicle he was a passenger in. The assault stemmed from Foden striking a man in the face with a wooden broom stick on March 21 in Wellsville. A probation violation hearing was set June 12 for Foden for a theft case from 2024.
A pretrial was set Aug. 11 for Kameron Owens, 21, Toronto, charged with assault and domestic violence for allegedly pushing a teen onto the ground during an altercation and making several threats against her on May 25 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set June 12 for Stepfahn Terrell Anthony, 39, Alice Street, East Palestine, charged with domestic violence and obstructing justice for allegedly pushing, grabbing and scratching a woman on June 2 in East Palestine, then allegedly hiding behind a couch chair with a blanket covering him to hinder his apprehension.
Joshua James Dobbs, 44, Pittsburgh, Pa., was fined $350 and given a suspended 180-day jail term for open container and two counts of possessing criminal tools, with one amended from engaging in prostitution. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and an online prostitution prevention course. Dobbs was accused of responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $140, then driving to East Palestine on Feb. 7 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.
Amber Torres, 38, Milbourne Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and sentenced to 20 days in jail for theft and obstructing official business. She was also ordered to pay restitution of $30.50 to Dollar General, Pennsylvania Avenue, East Liverpool. Torres stole multiple items from the Dollar General in East Liverpool on March 18 and fled from police before being taken into custody.
Debra Farkas, 66, South Lane Drive, Hanoverton, was fined $200 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 23 days suspended and credit for seven days served, for obstructing official business. A charge of resisting arrest was dismissed at the request of the prosecutor. Farkas was ordered to complete 10 hours community service. She was accused of attempting to pull away from a traffic stop in Columbiana on March 18, refusing to shut off her car or exit her vehicle.
Alexander Gromley, 33, Harding Avenue, Salem, was fined $100 for a noise violation which occurred March 19 involving a musical instrument in Perry Township.
A theft charge against Kathleen Parks, 64, Broadway Avenue, Wellsville, was dismissed with restitution paid and a stipulation to probable cause. Parks was accused of being a former employee who took a $500 Apple gift card from the Dollar General in Wellsville on Dec. 15, 2024.
A pretrial was set Sept. 4 for Ashlee Boley, 22, South Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, charged with endangering children for allegedly failing to properly feed and care for a child who was less than 1-year-old last fall, with the victim admitted to Akron Children’s Hospital on Sept. 20, 2024 due to low weight. An affidavit said the child was able to gain weight after several days of being fed properly, with a nurse practitioner confirming nutritional neglect.
A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Charles Ripley, 43, New Cumberland, W.Va., charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for allegedly being under the influence of a suspected narcotic, being combative toward officers and refusing to follow commands on April 20 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Raven Bucher, 29, Bayard Road, Minerva, charged with criminal mischief for allegedly kicking over the security camera by the front door of a Minerva residence on May 6.
A pretrial was set Sept. 4 for Marcus Mick, 31, Glasgow Road, Lisbon, charged with two counts of criminal damaging for allegedly driving through two yards on Crews Road, Wellsville.
A pretrial was set Sept. 11 for Shane Blair, 28, Canton, charged with possession of drug abuse instrument for allegedly possessing a hypodermic syringe on June 2 in Leetonia.
A pretrial was set Aug. 28 for Denver Soukup, 43, West Wilson Street, Salem, charged with driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set Aug. 21 for Travis Szwedko, 45, state Route 45, Salem, charged with noncompliance.
Sentencing was reset July 21 for Kevin Lazzaro, 59, Newell, W.Va, for failure to stop after an accident.
A pretrial was set Aug. 28 for James Merino, 68, Benton Road, Salem, charged with a turn signal violation.
Jenna Bates, 39, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, was fined $150 for no license amended from driving under suspension. A charge of expired registration was dismissed.
Robin Ward, 67, New Springfield, was fined $50 for an equipment violation amended from failure to yield right of way.
Gerald Yerkey III, 33, state Route 14, New Waterford, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
Joshua Francis, 44, Park Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for driving under suspension, with a charge of expired registration dismissed.
Crystal Hamrick, 39, Dyke Road, Rogers, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
