LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Landon Knight, 18, Riley Avenue, East Liverpool, was bound over to the county grand jury for third-degree felony theft for allegedly stealing a 9mm handgun and $600 from a vehicle in Liverpool Township on April 30.
A case against Jimmy Anderson, 34, Youngstown, was bound over to the county grand jury for fifth-degree felony violation of a protection order for allegedly purposely speaking to the victim, who has a protection order against him, after completing a hearing before county Municipal Court Judge Tim McNicol on May 19. He had a past conviction for violation of a protection order in January. Charges of misdemeanor violation of a protection order and felony menacing by stalking were each dismissed, with all the charges related to the same victims in Leetonia.
A preliminary hearing was set Aug. 4 for Tyler Wells, 36, Chestnut Street, Leetonia, charged with fourth-degree felony domestic violence for allegedly striking a juvenile in the face two times with an open hand and a closed hand and breaking her cell phone during the altercation on May 26 in Leetonia.
A preliminary hearing was set June 16 for Christopher Smith, 37, Canton, charged with fifth-degree felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle for allegedly failing to return a car he borrowed after being contacted multiple times about returning it. The sheriff’s office was contacted on Feb. 2 about the unauthorized use.
Hope Jackson-Ingram, 32, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended and credit for three days served, for domestic violence and endangering children. She was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and a parenting course. She was accused of being on top of a child and choking her during an incident Dec. 13, 2024 in Wellsville. The case had been bound over to the county grand jury, but was returned to county Municipal Court.
Joseph Mason, 41, listed as homeless, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 120 days suspended and credit for 21 days served, leaving a balance of 39 days to serve in jail for aggravated menacing and theft. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service, make restitution of $4 to Dollar General and have no contact with the victims or Dollar General in East Liverpool. Mason was accused of threatening to kill a woman in East Liverpool on April 23 and stealing a three-pack of 24-ounce Natty Daddy beer from Dollar General in East Liverpool, also in April.
A pretrial was set Aug. 7 for Shyla Woodworth, 27, Allen Drive, Salem, charged with aggravated menacing for allegedly threatening to cause harm to a man and his family on April 13 in Salem.
Devin Kaschak, 42, Bloomington, Texas, was fined $300 and given a suspended 12-day jail term for assault amended from domestic violence for holding another woman down on a bed and hitting her in the face several times with a closed fist on May 17 in East Liverpool.
Amy Colyer, 46, West Fifth Street, Salem, was sentenced to six days in jail for violating her probation for a disorderly conduct case from earlier this year.
A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Enoch O. Hamilton, 49, Alliance, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent for an agreed upon price of $120, then driving to Salem on May 8 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.
A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Denver Jeffery, 27, Greenville, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle for allegedly requesting sexual conduct for an agreed upon price of $140 from an undercover agent, then driving to Salem for the meeting May 27 with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession. A loaded 9mm handgun was found during a search of his truck after he told police he didn’t have any weapons.
Mark Alan George, 38, Chester, W.Va., was fined $750 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a prostitution education course. Imposition of the sentence was stayed pending an appeal. He was accused of requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent for an agreed upon price of $100 and drove to Salem on Jan. 5, 2024 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession
Derek Bragg, 34, Newell, W.Va., was fined $200 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for theft. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and make restitution to Calcutta Sheetz for $51.40. He also must complete an Ohio theft awareness course. Bragg stole eight jugs of window washer fluid from the Calcutta Sheetz on Jan. 9.
Wyatt Brown, 20, Hopedale, was fined $250 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for misdemeanor improper handling amended from a felony of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a hunter safety course. He had a loaded shotgun in the vehicle during a traffic stop on April 18.
A pretrial was set Aug. 14 for Eric Pagani, 43, North Shadylane, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for one item valued at $34 at the Calcutta Walmart on May 23.
A pretrial was set Aug. 4 for Lucas Ludwig, 39, Akron, charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly causing a disturbance at a Salem, Butler Township property on May 28 by throwing items at two relatives and throwing items from a vehicle into the driveway and yard.
A pretrial was set Aug. 26 for Justin Schneider, 34, Highland Avenue, Wellsville, charged with possession of drug abuse instrument for allegedly possessing a used syringe and suspected drugs in his pocket after being stopped for having an active warrant on May 27 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set June 2 for Reinaldo Perez Diaz, 46, Youngstown, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a pink straw that had been cut with a lot of white residue on it during a traffic stop on May 28 in Columbiana. He was also fined $100 for no valid license.
A pretrial was set Aug. 14 for Devin Earich, 30, West Third Street, Salem, charged with operating a vehicle impaired second offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years, marked lanes and license plate light.
A pretrial was set Aug. 14 for Kevin Miller, 41, Rochester Road, Homeworth, charged with OVI third offense, OVI breath third offense and no seat belt.
A pretrial was set Aug. 4 for Raven Francis, 34, state Route 518, Lisbon, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense and reasonable control.
A pretrial was set Aug. 14 for Mark Thomas, 43, Harding Avenue, Salem, charged with no license and driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set Aug. 7 for Denver Kridler, 41, Firestone Avenue, Columbiana, charged with speeding.
Susan Linger, 58, Richardson Avenue, Negley, was fined $1,115 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended, leaving a balance of 10 days to serve in jail for two merged OVI counts and reasonable control. Her driver’s license was suspended for one year and he was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.
Brooke Bonar, 44, Moundsville, W.Va., was fined $1,050 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 150 days suspended and credit for two days served, leaving a balance of 28 days still to serve in jail for OVI second offense, driving under suspension and marked lanes. A charge of OVI refusal with prior within 20 years was dismissed. Her driver’s license was suspended for two years and she was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.
Kevan Merriman, 63, Lang Street, East Liverpool, was fined $350 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program for failure to control and reckless operation amended from OVI. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.
Mason Taylor, 24, Oakmont Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $105 for driving under suspension and speeding.
Jared Whalen, 31, Enon Valley, Pa., was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from traffic control devices.
Michael Shellow, 41, Youngstown, was fined $150 for driving under suspension and speeding.
Elliott Barwinski, 48, Youngstown, was fined $200 for driving under suspension and speeding.
Dorian Thompson, 25, Aten Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
Timothy Degarmo, 36, Taylor Road, Negley, was fined $100 for unauthorized plate and expired tag, with no fine for driving under suspension.
