Grand Jury
LISBON — Two drug defendants were served Thursday with secret indictments issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury.
Indya Spann, 24, Commerce Street, Wellsville, was charged with fifth-degree felonies of possession of cocaine, possession of a fentanyl-related compound and possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drugs for allegedly possessing cocaine, xylazine, fentanyl and heroin.
Thomas Pitts, 42, Foundry Hill Road, Hanoverton, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on June 2, 2024.

LISBON — A Hammondsville woman accused of taking drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility last year was sentenced to 10 months in prison.
Angel Bowles, 51, appeared in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court and entered a guilty plea to third-degree felony illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility and fifth-degree felony possession of cocaine for possessing cocaine and taking drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility on March 10, 2024.
The prison sentence was ordered served consecutively to the six-month term she’s already serving after being sentenced in April for trafficking in cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, giving her a total prison stay of 16 months.
Also in Common Pleas Court:
— Lacey Riley, 32, Youngstown, pleaded guilty to third-degree felony failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer for fleeing from police attempting a traffic stop in Salem on Aug. 9, 2024. She’s scheduled to face sentencing on Aug. 7.
Municipal
LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set May 29 for Jimmy Anderson, 34, Youngstown, charged with violation of a protection order, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly purposely speaking to the victim, who has a protection order against him, after completing a hearing before county Municipal Court Judge Tim McNicol on May 19. He had a past conviction for violation of a protection order in January.
A pretrial was set June 2 for Kathryn Foertch, 81, Columbiana Lisbon Road, Columbiana, charged with domestic violence for allegedly pushing a man out of an office chair in Columbiana residence on May 22, causing him to fall to the ground and his arm to start bleeding. An affidavit said the victim told police the defendant was upset and accused him of knowing where her missing pocket book was.
A pretrial was set June 5 for Joshua Burke, 40, Akron, charged with domestic violence for allegedly threatening to beat a woman to death and kill her dog on Aug. 15, 2024 in Salem. He also squeezed her hand and took her cell phone before she left the Salem residence.
A pretrial was set Aug. 14 for Douglas Toothman, 47, East Fourth Street, East Liverpool, charged with criminal trespass for allegedly trespassing on the property of Riverview Towers in East Liverpool by pitching a tent and being inside it on May 8 after being trespassing from the property previously.
A pretrial was set Aug. 14 for George Manso Jr., 30, Cleveland, charged with speeding and a turn signal violation.
A pretrial was set Aug. 7 for Michelle Clark, 36, state Route 45, Lisbon, charged with driving while texting.
A pretrial was set Aug. 7 for Ryan Geho, 31, Mattix Road, Lisbon, charged with use of unauthorized plate, forfeiture, park on highway, improper/expired registration and unsafe vehicle.
Aydin Creque, 18, Church Street, Beloit, was fined $25 for use of unauthorized plate.
Timothy Reaggle, 19, Y & O Road, Wellsville, was fined $30 for no seat belt, with a charge of driving under suspension dismissed.
Cheri Burke, 62, West Wilson Street, Salem, was fined $75 for speeding and assured clear distance.
