LISBON — Two defendants were served Friday with secret indictments issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury, including:

— Myron James Edward Youngblood, 44, Purinton Avenue, East Liverpool, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on Sept. 21, 2024.

— James Yacobucci, 54, Canton, nonsupport of dependents, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly failing to pay child support from Nov. 13, 2022 to Nov. 10, 2024.

Municipal

LISBON — In Columbiana Count Municipal Court, cases against James Lee Michael Davisson, 29, Laurel Lane, East Liverpool, were bound over to the county grand jury for fourth-degree felony resisting arrest brandishing a deadly weapon, fifth-degree felony obstructing official business and misdemeanor disorderly conduct for allegedly yelling and threatening people in Salineville and then failing to comply with verbal commands of a deputy, throwing a knife down after being told multiple times to drop it and resisting arrest on April 20.

Cases against Nathan Elkins, 36, Midland, Pa., were bound over to the county grand jury for third-degree felony tampering with evidence and misdemeanor obstructing official business for allegedly concealing narcotics in a partially hollowed out rubberized private part tied to his leg during a traffic stop in Lisbon on April 19. He allegedly began pulling away when officers were conducting a probable cause search.

A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set May 5 for Lee Terry Knight, 29, Pinewood Drive, New Waterford, charged with fourth-degree felony inducing panic and misdemeanor domestic violence for an incident in New Waterford on April 25 when he allegedly pushed another man to the ground and struck him multiple times in the head and was walking up and down Pinewood Drive yelling profanities and threatening to fight other people on the scene.

A preliminary hearing was set May 5 for Norman Bender, 51, Aten Avenue, Wellsville, charged with having weapons while under disability and theft without consent, both third-degree felonies, for allegedly taking a firearm without the owner’s permission on April 26 in East Liverpool while prohibited from possessing a firearm due to a previous felony conviction.

A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set May 5 for Anthony Gregory, 38, Plymouth Place, Salem, charged with third-degree felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault for allegedly grabbing a woman by the hair, throwing her to the floor, smacking her in the face, kicking her several times and choking her on April 24 in Perry Township.

A preliminary hearing was set May 5 for Abby Pierson, 31, Water Street, Salineville, charged with assault, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly trying to bite several police officers and EMTs during an incident on Nov. 28, 2024 in Columbiana.

A pretrial was set July 21 for Mindi Maniscalco, 51, Jefferson Avenue, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly attacking another woman on April 25 in Salem, with police observing a mark on the victim’s face and bite mark on her arm.

A pretrial was set July 1 for Akayla Poteet, 20, Alliance, Salem, who was permitted to withdraw her previous plea of no contest to a domestic violence charge. She was accused of allegedly assaulting a man in Salem on April 15 after an argument turned physical.

A pretrial was set July 8 for Logan Andrew Elliston, 28, Hubbard, charged with operating a vehicle impaired first offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years, engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with females in exchange for $250, then driving to East Palestine on April 26 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession. Elliston was also allegedly impaired.

Nicholas Weyand, 36, Dewey Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and sentenced to 10 days in jail for criminal damaging amended from vandalism. The jail term was ordered to be served consecutive to a term in a Common Pleas Court case. Weyand damaged an electronic tablet at the county jail while he was an inmate on April 2.

A sentencing hearing was set May 12 for Barry Ours, 50, Moore Street, East Liverpool, who pleaded no contest and was found guilty of menacing. Ours was accused of making threats to harm another man on Jan. 21 in East Liverpool. A probation violation hearing was also set May 12 for traffic charges from a 2022 case.

Carter Hollinger, 24, Enon Valley, Pa., was fined $300 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with credit for 11 days served, leaving a balance of 79 days still to serve for aggravated menacing and criminal trespass. Hollinger was accused of refusing to leave a woman’s property in Center Township after being told multiple times to leave and then threatening to smash her with a hammer for calling law enforcement on April 17.

Christopher West, 31, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $250 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for disorderly conduct. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. West punched a victim in the face on April 15 in Salem.

A pretrial was set May 8 for Tammy Kennedy, 55, Youngstown, charged with aggravated menacing, resisting arrest and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly threatening a Leetonia police officer on April 27, pulling away and refusing to comply with orders during her arrest and possessing two clear plastic straws with white powdery residue inside them.

Justin Ryan, 30, Homestead Boulevard, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 85 days suspended, leaving a balance of five days still to serve in jail for theft. He was ordered to complete 20 hours of community service. Ryan allegedly fled on foot from the Calcutta Walmart on April 20 after attempting to take 73 items valued at $688, then was caught by St. Clair Township police officers on Dresden just before McGuffy Drive.

A pretrial was set July 10 for Joseph Mason, 41, listed as homeless, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly stealing a three-pack of beer from Dollar General on March 27.

A pretrial was set July 22 for Shawn McKinnon, no age listed, Minerva Street, East Liverpool, charged with six counts of failure to file city income tax return for allegedly failing to file an East Liverpool city income tax return from 2019 through 2024.

A pretrial was set July 22 for Amber Whippo, 39, Neeld Road, East Palestine, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a burnt light green bubble pipe with a white crystallized substance inside during a traffic stop on April 26 in East Palestine.

A pretrial was set July 7 for Stephanie Zitkovich, 52, Bridgeville, Pa., charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop April 27 in Columbiana.

A pretrial was set July 21 for Gina Maniscalco, 28, Jefferson Avenue, Salem, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense, and endangering children/operating vehicle for allegedly trying to leave with a child in her vehicle while she was allegedly intoxicated on April 26 in Salem.

A pretrial was set July 1 for Michael Benning Jr., 32, Salem Alliance Road, Salem, charged with OVI first offense and speeding.

A pretrial was set July 10 for Richard Dyke, 59, Quay Road, Negley, charged with OVI first offense and reasonable control.

Denver Soukup, 43, West Wilson Street, Salem, was fined $1,205 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for OVI, no seat belt and driving under suspension. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and his driver’s license was suspended for one year with driving privileges granted.

Calvin Lawson, 38, Prospect Street, Minerva, was fined $300 for failure to stop after an accident and failure to control.

Lacey Riley, 32, Oak Street, Leetonia, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.

Dominic Dotson, 28, Louisville, was fined $600 and given a suspended 180-day jail term for failure to stop after an accident and reasonable control. His driver’s license was suspended for 180 days, with driving privileges granted. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.
