Grand Jury

LISBON — A Salem man accused of three burglary counts, including aggravated burglary, for an alleged incident on Dec. 12, 2024 was served recently with a secret indictment for the charges.

Cliff Lake, 42, Newgarden Avenue, was charged with first-degree felony aggravated burglary and two counts of burglary, one a second-degree felony and one a third-degree felony. The charges were issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury.

The indictment alleged that he trespassed in an occupied structure when another man was present with the purpose to commit aggravated menacing or assault and the offender had a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance identified as a hammer.

Also served Tuesday with secret indictments were:

— Airess Moore, 27, Canton, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing psilocyn on July 31, 2023.

— Cody Hostetter, 23, Ohio Avenue, Salem, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on April 30, 2024.

— Jason Call, 31, Avondale Street, East Liverpool, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on Nov. 14, 2023.

LISBON — A man who had a loaded firearm in his vehicle during a 2023 traffic stop pleaded guilty recently to improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

Christian Henry, 21, Salem Unity Road, Salem, entered the plea to the fourth-degree felony in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court, with sentencing set for April 14.

The indictment said he knowingly transported or had a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle in such a manner that the firearm was accessible to the operator or any passenger without leaving the vehicle on July 27, 2023.

Also in Common Pleas Court:

— Erin Faust, 39, East Euclid Avenue, Salem, was placed on an intervention plan for 12 months after pleading guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for possessing psilocyn on Sept. 15, 2023.
