LISBON — A convicted arsonist accused of failing to register his address with the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office entered a guilty plea in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.

Perry Ross II, 29, West Fourth Street, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to arson registration violation, a fifth-degree felony, with sentencing set for May 8.

The failure to register or re-register occurred on Aug. 6, 2024.

Also in Common Pleas Court:

— Linda Dapollonia, 44, Chester, W.Va., was sentenced to 105 days in the county jail, with credit for 22 days served, leaving a balance of 83 days still to serve in jail for violating her probation for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. She possessed methamphetamine on May 14, 2022.

Municipal

LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set March 27 for Robert Westlake, 51, Anderson Boulevard, East Liverpool, charged with third-degree felony failure to verify residence address for allegedly failing to verify his registered address with the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 13, as required since he’s a registered sex offender.

A case against Anthony C. Greathouse, 34, last known address Louisville, for fifth-degree felony breaking and entering, was dismissed due to the case already being indicted through the county grand jury related to a break-in at a Conex building/storage trailer on Oct. 30, 2024.

A pretrial was set May 15 for Christopher Paul Logston, 33, West Fourth Street, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence for allegedly getting in a woman’s face when she tried to leave on Feb. 27 in East Liverpool, threatening to bust out her car windshield and throwing a beverage container almost striking her in the head. He also allegedly threw a large rock at her, almost striking her.

Brandon Shaffer, 28, Wood Aly, Washingtonville, was fined $1,300 and sentenced to 360 days in jail, with 310 suspended and credit for 22 days served, leaving a total of 28 days still to serve in jail for attempted strangulation, criminal damaging, criminal trespass and three counts of domestic violence. A charge of abduction was dismissed. On Aug. 26, 2024, he was accused of throwing a woman into a wall and pinning her and choking her in Washingtonville. On Dec. 28, 2024, he was accused of head butting a woman and pushing her around in Washingtonville. On Feb. 7 in Columbiana, he was accused of grabbing a woman on the head and assaulting her and restricting her from escaping.

A pretrial was set March 10 for Joe Ramos, 54, 14th Street, Wellsville, charged with assault for allegedly coming at a woman, shoving her backwards nearly causing her to fall to the ground on July 14, 2024 in Elkton.

A pretrial was set May 19 for Chesley Oiler, 26, Highland Drive, East Liverpool, charged with assault for allegedly grabbing another woman by the throat and hitting her in the face during a fight on Feb. 25 in St. Clair Township.

A pretrial was set May 12 for John Graham, 63, state Route 45, Lisbon, charged with menacing for allegedly sending threatening messages via social media to a man in Salem on Feb. 8.

A pretrial was set April 24 for Nathan A. Minger, 52, Ravenna, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct for an agreed upon price of $140 from an undercover agent, then driving to Salem on Feb. 27 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.

A pretrial was set May 19 for Vincent A. Komara, 32, Poland, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent for an agreed upon price of $80 then traveling to Salem on Feb. 14 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.

A pretrial was set May 6 for Preston Ward, 34, Hawk Road, East Rochester, charged with telecommunications harassment for allegedly calling and messaging a woman in West Township in October 2024 after she told him to no longer contact her. He had also allegedly been contacting her boss and driving by her place of work and home, a court affidavit said.

A pretrial was set April 24 for Marla Zema, 47, Main Street, Wellsville, charged with endangering children while operating a vehicle for allegedly operating a vehicle impaired with a child in the vehicle on June 13, 2024 in Lisbon.

A pretrial was set April 24 for Justin Schneider, 34, Grayson, Ky., charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a crack pipe and a bag of unknown substance which he alleged said was fentanyl on Feb. 14 in St. Clair Township in the Walmart parking lot.

Bradley McCulley, 33, Walnut Ride, Salineville, was fined $250 for drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a burnt glass pipe during a traffic stop on Sept. 8, 2022.

A pretrial was set May 19 for Robert Byrd III, 26, St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension, no seat belt and drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a glass smoking pipe with white burnt residue during a traffic stop on Feb. 16 in East Liverpool.

A pretrial was set May 15 for Justiano Calel Ajanel, 25, Dover, charged with miscellaneous wildlife, no valid hunting permit and special deer or wild turkey permit for alleged hunting violations on Nov. 19, 2024 in Columbiana County.

Frederick Carman, 38, Skyview Drive, East Liverpool, was fined $100 for a miscellaneous wildlife violation for not having a permit for a deer on Dec. 4, 2024 in Columbiana County.

John Cole, 45, Black Road, Lisbon, was fined $925 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for physical control amended from operating a vehicle impaired and left of center. His driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted. Another OVI charge was dismissed.

A pretrial was set April 29 for Sterling Henry, 26, Youngstown, charged with driving under suspension, reasonable control and no seat belt.

A pretrial was set May 22 for Loretta Savin, 55, Valley Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set April 28 for Kelly Dickey, 38, Gamble Road, Lisbon, charged with driving while texting.

A pretrial was set April 14 for Abigail Davis, 25, West Sixth Street, Salem, charged with driving under suspension.

Samantha Lagone, 55, Ohio Avenue, Salem, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.

Jordan Streets, 48, Toronto, was fined $100 for unauthorized plate and improper registration.

Michael Anderson, 62, Alliance, was fined $75 for driving while texting.

Logan McNicol, 25, North Market Street, Lisbon, was fined $100 for speeding and failure to display. A charge of driving under suspension was dismissed.
