LISBON — A Columbiana man accused of possessing nudity oriented material involving minors or impaired persons was sentenced to prison for 24 months.
Samuel Lalley, 32, West Salem Street, appeared for sentencing recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court for third-degree felony tampering with evidence and two counts of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity oriented material, a fifth-degree felony, which were amended from two counts of fourth-degree felony pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person.
Three counts of fourth-degree felony pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person were dismissed.
Lalley was designated a Tier I sex offender with a requirement to register his address with the sheriff’s office.
Lalley was accused of resetting his cell phone and not coming out of a room with the door shut when officers called out to him during the execution of a search warrant for electronic items Dec. 6, 2023 in Columbiana. He allegedly admitted the phone contained criminal files on it and that he threw it under his bed.
Also in Common Pleas Court:
— Ryan Pritt, 43, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, entered guilty pleas to charges in three separate cases, with sentencing set for March 31. In the most recent case, Pritt pleaded guilty to prosecutor’s information for fifth-degree felony vandalism for removing the fuses from a truck on Oct. 10, forcing the owners to purchase new fuses to get the vehicle running again. He also pleaded guilty to fourth-degree felony aggravated assault, amended from third-degree felony strangulation, for assaulting and strangling a juvenile victim, who had scratches on both sides of his neck and blood coming from a wound on his leg on April 19, 2024 in East Liverpool. A third-degree felony domestic violence charge will be dismissed. He pleaded guilty to fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs for possessing methamphetamine on Sept. 25, 2022.
