Municipal

LISBON — A preliminary hearing was set Nov. 14 in Columbiana County Municipal Court for a Lisbon man who threatened village police officers responding to a call.

Brian Campbell, 37, Cream Ridge Road, was charged with fourth-degree felony resisting arrest, fifth-degree felony obstructing business and misdemeanor aggravated menacing. Officers received a report on Monday night that Campbell allegedly threatened to “burn down” his father’s house and was in the woods yelling and possibly armed with a knife. At the scene, officers made contact with Campbell who told officers to “try me and you will find out” while continuing to threaten family members. Campbell allegedly refused to comply with orders and swung a golf club at officers. He was later tased and arrested.

A preliminary hearing was set Nov. 12 for David Todd, 52, Elkton East Point Road, Lisbon, charged with receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. Todd allegedly was found to be driving a stolen truck following a one-vehicle crash on Monday. He was also charged with OVI, operating a motor vehicle on drugs or alcohol and reasonable control.

Jerry Mason, 64, Stagecoach Road, East Liverpool, was fined $400 and sentenced to 90 days suspended in jail, two year probation and 40 hours of community service for assault (amended from domestic violence) and aggravated menacing stemming from two incidents. Mason pushed a female during an altercation in St. Clair Township on July 19, and on May 5, Mason called a man who owed him money and threatened his life.

A pretrial hearing was set Feb. 10 for Donavain Casey, 18, Roller Coaster Road, Lisbon, charged with theft. Casey allegedly entered a business and stole a hat and two packs of muffins in Salem on Monday.

Juston Buskirk, 45, Akron, was fined $250 and sentenced to 20 days in jail with credit for 13 days served for assault. Briner punched a female in the face and dragged her across the floor by her hair at an East Palestine residence on Nov. 21, 2023.

Charges of theft were dismissed against Ashley Gordon, 35, Pickerington Street, East Liverpool.

Stephanie Patrick, 48, Aberdeen Court, Columbiana, was fined $1,035 and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 84 suspended, two years probation, driving school, 40 hours of community service and a one-year license suspension for open container, OVI and failure to control. A charge of endangering children was dismissed.

Sarah Bratcher, 29, Pearl Street Columbiana, was fined $250 for speed in a school zone.

John Bosworth, 33, Hess Road, East Liverpool, was fined $400 and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 60 imposed and 30 to be served on house arrest, 20 hours of community service and two years probation for coercion and menacing, amended from domestic violence for threatening to punch a woman on July 28 in Columbiana and sending her a threatening text message.

Graylen Thornton, 38, Globe Street East Liverpool, was fined $100 and sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for one day served and 29 suspended for criminal trespass. Thornton was caught on security footage entering the premises of Sixx Recycling through a window on June 10.

Melvin Hershberger, 20, Rome, was fined $1,075 for OVI and driving under suspension. A seat belt charge was dismissed.

A pretrial hearing was set Feb. 6 for Tina Gilbert, 52, state Route 45, Salem, charged with theft. Gilbert allegedly failed to scan seven items totaling $97.37 at the self checkout at the Salem Walmart on Oct. 10.

A pretrial hearing was set Feb. 6 for Shawn Uptegraph, 52, Columbia Street, Salem, charged with OVI and reasonable control.

Andrew Dattillo, 18, was fined $50 for open container.

Charges of engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools, possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia were dismissed against Joshua Aziz Hyat, 38, Poland,

A charge of domestic violence was dismissed against Tiffany Woolley, 37, Vine Street, East Liverpool.

A charge of animals at large was dismissed against Katherine Clark, 80, George Street, East Liverpool.

Jeffrey Andrews 61, Highland Avenue, Salem, was fined $200 for failure to file sales tax returns for August of 2024.

Michelle Hall, 47, West Washington Street, Lisbon, was fined $500 for and sentenced to three days in jail for tail lights and driving under suspension and driving under points restriction.

A pretrial hearing was set Feb. 11 for Robert Cochran Jr., 36, Woodsdale Road, Salem, charged with driving under suspension, driving under restriction and loud exhaust.

Marsha Cleveland, 54, East State Street, Salem, was fined $40 for disorderly conduct following a neighbor dispute in Salem.

A pretrial was set Dec. 5 for Danny Schultz, 26, state Route 164, Lisbon, charged with no seat belt and failure to comply. Shultz allegedly failed to stop for a traffic stop in Salem on Oct. 31. The officer lost sight of the vehicle but was able to identify the driver as Shultz.

A charge of driving under suspension as dismissed against Shad Snyder, 49, West Calla Road, Salem.

Five counts of driving under suspension were dismissed against Judson Edling, 38, Columbiana Street, Leetonia. Edling was fined $25 for speed.

Zachary Englant, 43, Canton, was fined $1,000 and sentenced to 180 days with credit for three days served and 177 suspended for violating a protection order after sending several social media messages and text messages to the protected party.
