LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, cases against Jason Ramsey, 22, Akron, were bound over to the county grand jury for fourth-degree felony receiving stolen property and misdemeanors of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and obstructing official business for allegedly being in a stolen vehicle on Oct. 24 in Salem, with the key in his pocket, using the vehicle without permission and then running from the vehicle when police arrived. He was fined $200 and sentenced to 20 days in jail, with credit for four days served, leaving a balance of 16 days to serve for two counts criminal trespass. Ramsey entered a woman’s vehicle in Salem on Oct. 26 and attempted to break into a man’s vehicle in Salem on Oct. 25.
A pretrial was set Feb. 13 for Jay Frantz, 35, East Chestnut Street, Lisbon, charged with inciting to violence and menacing for allegedly jumping on someone’s moving vehicle and punching it, knowingly causing another to believe they would be harmed and engaging in conduct to urge or incite another to commit an offense of violence on Oct. 28 in Lisbon.
A pretrial was set Nov. 7 for Ryan Thompson, 42, South Broadway Avenue, Salem, charged with assault and two counts of illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly striking a woman in the face with a closed fist, causing visible injury to her mouth and causing her to fall to the floor and black out on Oct. 31 in Salem. On Oct. 11, when Thompson was allegedly pink slipped and ordered taken to a hospital, he possessed two glass pipes with burnt residue.
A pretrial was set Feb. 13 for Christopher West, 31, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, charged with assault for allegedly punching the victim in the face during a domestic on April 15 in Salem. A charge of domestic violence was dismissed, with the case refiled for assault.
Travis Beiling, 41, Cherry Fork Avenue, Leetonia, was fined $4,150, with all fines and costs suspended, and sentenced to 540 days in the county jail for three counts of violating a protection order, failure to stop after an accident and assured clear distance. His driver’s license was suspended for 180 days. Beiling violated a protection order on Jan. 26 by attending a high school basketball game in Leetonia with the protected person. On Oct. 12 to Oct. 14, he contacted the protected person from the prison phone in Pickway Correctional Institution in Orient. On July 24, 2023, he violated a protection order by driving within 267 feet of the protected person’s Leetonia residence.
Ryan Armstrong, 39, Hoopes Road, Salem, was fined $150 and sentenced to three days in jail, with credit for three days served, for disorderly conduct. Armstrong was intoxicated in public on Oct. 22 in Salem.
A pretrial was set Feb. 4 for Logan Wilson, 27, East Friend Street, Columbiana, charged with failure to disclose one’s personal information, operating a vehicle impaired second offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years, driving under suspension and reckless operation. Wilson allegedly refused to provide identification during a traffic stop on Oct. 31 in Columbiana.
A pretrial was set Jan. 16 for Kassandria Cole, 32, High Street, Washingtonville, charged with OVI second offense, OVI breath second offense and marked lanes.
Tina Hancock, 58, Jackman Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for driving under suspension. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.
