LISBON–A Salineville man pleaded guilty to harassing an officer with a bodily substance.
Jamie Tice Jr., 23, Salineville, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree felony harassment with a bodily substance, and fourth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs. The charge of harassment with a bodily substance stems from an incident on Jan 26, when while confined at a detention facility Tice caused an officer to come into contact with a bodily substance with the intent to annoy, harass, threaten, or alarm by throwing or expelling the substance at the officer. The charge of aggravated possession of drugs stems from an incident on June 30, 2023, when Tice possessed a controlled substance or controlled substance analog.

— Angela Weaver, 36, Sprucevale Road, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 24 months in prison, with credit for 147 days, and placed on two years parole after release after pleading guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for possession of methamphetamine on July 21,2021, as well as community control violations for aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony; illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony, and aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; and obstructing justice, a third-degree felony.
Grand Jury
LISBON — Brenston Thompkins, 29, East Liverpool, was served recently with a secret indictment issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury charged with first degree felony aggravated robbery with a firearm specification, third-degree felony having weapons while under disability, and fourth-degree felony trespassing in a habitation while others are likely to be present. The indictment alleges that on Dec. 13, 2023, Thompkins entered a habitation where others were likely to be present with a deadly weapon brandishing, indicating possession of, or using a handgun in committing the alleged act which he knowingly possessed while a fugitive from justice.
Valorie Hammond, 36, Knoxville, Tennessee, charged with third-degree felony escape, fifth-degree felony theft, and possessing criminal tools, and misdemeanor obstruction of official business for allegedly attempting to break or failing to return to detention while knowing she was under detention, preventing obstructing or delaying the performance of a public officials duties, stealing merchandise totaling $2,295.69 in value from Dunham Sports, while possessing a duffle bag with the purpose of using it for that criminal purpose on April 9.
Joseph Hakala, 30, Lisbon, charged with third-degree felony failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, and misdemeanor driving under suspension, for allegedly fleeing from a traffic stop on Aug. 14.
Joseph Jolly, 38, East Liverpool, charged with fourth-degree felony domestic violence and strangulation for allegedly knowingly harming a woman by means of strangulation or suffocation on Aug. 29.
Kaden Desellem, 21, Lisbon, charged with fourth-degree felony domestic violence, and misdemeanor domestic violence for allegedly causing or attempting to cause physical harm to a man and causing him to believe Desellem would harm another person on Sept. 1.
