LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Nov. 4 for Andrew Martin, 49, Hammondsville Road, Wellsville, charged with fifth-degree felony receiving stolen property and two counts of misdemeanor misuse of credit cards for allegedly possessing a stolen credit card on Sept. 16 in Wellsville and then using the stolen credit card to make purchases at Millegan Hardware in East Liverpool for more than $300 and at Ace Hardware in Calcutta for more than $787.
A pretrial was set Oct. 7 for Nicole Odie, 44, state Route 558, Salem, charged with domestic violence and disorderly conduct for allegedly punching and slapping a man in the face during an argument on Sept. 21 in Salem Township. Later at Salem Regional Medical Center, she allegedly caused a disturbance by using foul language in the emergency room.
James Howell III, 39, Tenth Street, Wellsville, was fined $500 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 83 days suspended and credit for two days served, leaving a balance of five days still to serve in jail for domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to have no contact with the victim. Howell was accused of slapping a woman in the face, pulling her hair and throwing her to the floor and against a wall on July 7, 2021.
Lohith Kumar Talla, 28, Oakdale, Pa., was fined $250 and given a suspended 60-day jail term for criminal mischief amended from engaging in prostitution. A charge of possessing criminal tools was dismissed. Talla was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and an online prostitution prevention course. Talla was accused of responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with females in exchange for $140, then traveling to East Palestine on July 28 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.
Devin Wooten, 26, South Beaver Street, Lisbon, was fined $150 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for persistent disorderly conduct. A charge of resisting arrest was dismissed. Wooten was ordered to complete 80 hours community service. Wooten was yelling at a woman and preventing her from entering the residence where she also resided on July 26 in Lisbon. Wooten was also throwing the woman's belongings in the house and refusing to allow her inside to retrieve them. He had been accused of pulling away from officers during his arrest.
Katrina Blough, 21, West Pershing Street, Salem, was fined $150 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for slapping a man in the face during an argument and biting his bicep when he grabbed her on July 5 in Salem. She was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.
Earl Alderman Jr., 60, West Martin Street, East Palestine, was fined $200 and given a suspended 180-day jail term for telecommunications harassment for continuing to email, text and call a woman on July 1 in East Palestine after being told to stop on several occasions. He was ordered to complete 10 hours community service and to stay away from the victim.
Major Boston, 25, Youngstown, was fined $150 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for grabbing a woman by the arms and pushing her down during a domestic on July 5 in Salem. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and to have no contact with the victim.
A pretrial was set Jan. 9 for Stephen Camp, 39, Industry, Pa., charged with possession of drug abuse instrument and theft for allegedly possessing used syringes on Aug. 3 when he was caught in the woods in East Liverpool after police tried to question him about a theft. He was accused of stealing a bicycle at the Mainland Gas Station in East Liverpool earlier on Aug. 3.
Vanessa Burnside, 35, West Wilson Street, Salem, was fined $250 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for theft. She was ordered to complete 80 hours community service, make restitution of $10.02 and stay out of East Liverpool Dollar Tree. Burnside was found inside the East Liverpool Dollar Tree with items she had stolen from the store earlier in the day on July 19.
A theft charge was dismissed against Robert Bureltt, 64, McKees Rock, Pa., due to an inadequate complaint. The costs were taxed to the state. Bureltt was accused of failing to scan 14 items totaling $201 at the Calcutta Walmart on Sept. 10.
A sentencing hearing was set Oct. 29 for Crystal Buckel, no age listed, Michigan Avenue, East Liverpool, who pleaded no contest and was found guilty of four counts of failure to file city income tax return, with one count dismissed. Buckel was accused of failing to file East Liverpool city income tax returns from 2020 through 2023.
Evan Dieringer, 25, Bradshaw Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $2,000, but with all fines suspended as long as he pays his taxes for failure to file city income tax return and three counts of failure to pay city income tax for failing to file an East Liverpool income tax return in 2023 and failing to pay East Liverpool city income tax in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Jeremy Stewart, 36, Reynolds Street, East Liverpool, was fined $2,000 with all but $50 of the fine suspended for four counts of failure to file city income tax return for failing to file an East Liverpool city income tax return from 2019 through 2022.
Patricia Myers, 54, state Route 39, Wellsville, was fined $750, but with all of the fine suspended, for infestation and screening for failing to maintain a property at Florence Street, East Liverpool free of insects after a cockroach infestation was reported in July 2023. She was also ordered to pay $1,700 restitution to the city of East Liverpool. A court trial was set Nov. 19 for Myers for charges of maximum permissible height of weeds and litter for allegedly failing to cut weeds growing to a height of 12 inches on a Florence Street property in East Liverpool on Aug. 11 and allowing litter to collect on the property.
Bridget McKinnon, 38, Dresden Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $815 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended and credit for one day served, leaving a balance of nine days still to serve in jail for operating a vehicle impaired, driving under suspension, speeding and criminal damaging. Her driver's license was suspended for two years and she was ordered to complete 40 hours community service. The criminal damaging charge stemmed from McKinnon throwing a boulder at the front windshield of a man's vehicle and busting it out during an altercation on Aug. 29 in East Liverpool. She was also fined $465 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, no seat belt and a tail light violation.
Marcus Ford, 30, Homestead, East Liverpool, was fined $75 for intoxication for being publicly intoxicated on Sept. 14 in East Liverpool.
Eric Beagle, 44, Mullins Street, Salem, was fined $925 and sentenced to 80 days in jail, with 77 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for operating a vehicle impaired and a turn signal violation. Another OVI charge was dismissed and he was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.
Brooklyn Byrd, 18, Aten Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $50 for speeding-school zone.
A pretrial was set Jan. 7 for Jace Conway, 19, Leetonia Road, Leetonia, charged with hit skip/leave scene and improper backing.
A pretrial was set Dec. 5 for Roman Capuano, 26, Stanton Avenue, Columbiana, charged with physical control and parking within an intersection.
A driving under suspension charge was dismissed against William Wildman, 50, East Fifth Street, Salem.
A pretrial was set Dec. 2 for Elwood Williams, 26, Duke Vodrey Road, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set Dec. 16 for Dalton Culler, 20, East Martin Street, East Palestine, charged with driving under suspension.

LISBON -- A Salem man accused of fleeing from police after an incident last year was ordered to prison for nine months during sentencing in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.
Jason Ward, 46, Penn Avenue, faced his punishment recently for a lesser offense of attempted failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a fourth-degree felony, and misdemeanors of assault, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs or a combination and failure to stop after an accident.
He received credit for one day served in jail and his driver's license was suspended for three years retroactive to the date of the offense. He received a mandatory fine of $850.
Ward was accused of pushing a female victim against a shed and then fleeing the scene, failing to stop for officers responding to the incident on June 1, 2023.

-- Clarence McCune, 29, Florence Street, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to possession of fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony, with sentencing set for Oct. 18. McCune possessed fentanyl on Oct. 9, 2023.
-- Tyler Corbisello, 30, Cannons Mill Road, East Liverpool, was placed under community control for three years and ordered to serve up to six months at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center in Wintersville for a lesser offense of fifth-degree felony attempted vehicular assault, third-degree felony strangulation and misdemeanor domestic violence. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim. Corbisello was accused of trying to physically harm a woman with a vehicle, striking her multiple times on the back of her head and choking her during a physical altercation March 3 in Salineville.
-- Tammy Merriman, 53, Martha Street, Salineville, was ordered to participate in drug court and serve up to six months at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center in Lisbon after pleading guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony. Merriman possessed methamphetamine on Jan. 14, 2023 in an amount equal or greater than bulk but less than five times bulk.
-- Robert Arnold, 52, Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, was ordered to serve 300 days in jail, with credit for 172 days served, after his probation was dishonorably terminated for violating the terms of community control for a charge of possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. Arnold possessed cocaine on Oct. 2, 2021.
-- Ryan Polojac, 25, Niles, was placed under community control for three years after pleading guilty to fifth-degree felony receiving stolen property for using a stolen credit card at Rich Oil in Wellsville on Dec. 25, 2023. He received credit for 72 days served in jail and was ordered to pay restitution of $163.14.
-- Cheyenne Sage, 26, Rigby Street, East Liverpool was placed under community control for two years for falsification, a misdemeanor, for her part in an incident of child endangering for making false statements on March 28, 2023. She was sentenced to 180 days in jail, but received credit for 180 days already served.
-- Mason Jones, 32, Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, was placed under community control for three years and ordered to complete the program at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center in Wintersville for possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. He received credit for 13 days served in jail. Jones possessed buprenorphine on March 3, 2023.
