LISBON -- A Canton man who trespassed on a Hanoverton property last fall and injured another man was ordered to spend 30 days in the county jail for aggravated assault and trespassing.
Ryan Gonzalez, 20, appeared recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court for sentencing for the two fourth-degree felony charges. He was placed on community control for three years, but ordered to serve 39 days in the county jail with credit for nine days already served, leaving the 30-day balance still to serve.
Gonzalez had originally been charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony, which was reduced to the lesser charge of aggravated assault. A first-degree felony aggravated burglary charge was dismissed.
Gonzalez was on the Hanoverton property on Oct. 8, 2023 without permission and injured the other man during a confrontation.
Also in Common Pleas Court:
-- Amanda Alba, 33, Minerva, was ordered to serve up to six months at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center in Lisbon and remain on community control after her intervention plan for drug charges was terminated for violations of the terms. She previously entered guilty pleas to fifth-degree felonies of aggravated possession of drugs and possession of fentanyl-related compound for possessing fluorofentanyl and fentanyl-related compound on May 27, 2022.
-- Anna Greeneisen, 42, Benton Road, Salem, was placed on an intervention plan for two years after pleading guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, with a specification for forfeiture of money from a drug case, for possessing methamphetamine and $1,375 on Oct. 13, 2021. A separate court entry will be entered for forfeiture of the $1,375.
-- Nicholas Faulk, 34, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 12 months in prison for third-degree felony failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer. Jail credit will be determined at a later date. Faulk was accused of fleeing from police attempting a traffic stop on Aug. 22, 2023 in Salineville.
