LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Aug. 15 for Samantha Jo Ward, 38, Steubenville Pike Road, Lisbon, charged with third-degree felony tampering with evidence and misdemeanors of endangering children/operating vehicle, resisting arrest, obstructing official business, operating a vehicle impaired first offense, booster seat violation, annual registration expired, expired license, no seat belt, expired plate and two counts driving under suspension.

During a traffic stop on Aug. 5 in Lisbon, Ward allegedly attempted to carry a small silver box out of her vehicle after being told to leave all items in the vehicle, she then re-entered the vehicle before exiting the vehicle again. While Lisbon police attempted to handcuff her, she threw the box into a grassy area and police found it contained suspected narcotics. She continued trying to enter the vehicle and resisted. The endangering children charge stemmed from three children being in the vehicle while she was driving under the influence. Two of the traffic charges, driving under suspension and expired plate, stemmed from a traffic stop in Lisbon on July 23.

A preliminary hearing was set Aug. 15 for Amanda Collette Curran, 40, New Gallilee, Pa., charged with fourth-degree felony burglary for allegedly entering a residence on state Route 172, Lisbon, on Aug. 5. The homeowner had called the sheriff’s office after finding a woman she didn’t know inside her home wearing her clothes. She was still there when a deputy arrived and the homeowner said she had gone through her entire home and personal belongings, even opening her mail. Curran was identified as the woman.

Candy McClish, 44, Oliver Street, East Liverpool, was fined $350 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for criminal damaging and disorderly conduct amended from assault. She was buying out 80 hours of community service she was ordered to complete and was ordered to make restitution of $300 to the victim. McClish was accused of assaulting a man delivering a pizza to a Walnut Street residence in East Liverpool on July 4, 2023 and punching the windshield of his vehicle, causing it to shatter.

Emilee Sorrell, 35, East Main Street, East Palestine, was fined $25 for disorderly conduct, with a charge of criminal trespass dismissed. On July 23 in East Palestine, Sorrell was accused of chasing two juveniles into McDonald’s, shouting and being boisterous, then entering the men’s restroom where they went to hide and positioning herself in a way to extend her cell phone over the stall divider and take photos of them.

Jada Pack, 38, Erie Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for disorderly conduct amended from obstructing official business. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Pack began stepping in between East Liverpool police officers and her son when they were trying to place him into custody on June 2 in East Liverpool.

A pretrial was set Oct. 15 for Ronda Mays, 59, Michigan Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with failure to file city income tax return and failure to pay city income tax for allegedly failing to file city income tax return in East Liverpool from May 15, 2020 to May 15, 2021 and failed to pay city income tax in East Liverpool.

A pretrial was set Oct. 8 for Bonnie Wern, 73, Seventh Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with maximum permissible height of weeds for allegedly failing to cut weeds on her property on McKinnon Avenue, East Liverpool on June 11.

A pretrial was set Nov. 12 for Jessie Vega, 31, Youngstown, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a pill bottle with no label with an envelope with a white crystal like substance during a traffic stop on Aug. 5 in Salem.

Anthony Calvin Greathouse, 34, Lewis Road, Salineville, was fined $250 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 70 days suspended and credit for four days served, leaving a balance of 16 days to serve in jail for possession of drug abuse instrument. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service. Greathouse was accused of possessing syringes in his pocket on June 16 in St. Clair Township.

A charge of possession of drug abuse instrument was dismissed against Daniel Rawson, 37, Massillon, who was accused of possessing a syringe during an overdose incident on Jan. 16 in St. Clair Township.

A pretrial was set Oct. 7 for Jonathan Feezle, 40, Carter Road, New Waterford, charged with operating a vehicle impaired first offense, speeding and no seat belt.

A pretrial was set Oct. 15 for Kaylynn Keener, 36, Rose Drive, Lisbon, charged with driver’s license suspended.

A pretrial was set Nov. 12 for Marlena James, 22, Center Street, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set Nov. 5 for Michelle Lynn Hall, 47, Scroggs Road, Lisbon, charged with driving under suspension.

Helen Gardner, 55, West Martin Street, East Palestine, was fined $50 for speeding.

Ronald Snyder III, 49, North Lima, was fined $100 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended, leaving three days to serve for driving under suspension.

Court News

LISBON — An East Palestine man who violated the terms of his probation for a drug charge was ordered to prison for nine months.

Michael Robb, 43, Leake Street, appeared recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court for a probation violation hearing on a charge of possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. His participation in drug court was dishonorably terminated for the violations. He received credit for 106 days already served in jail.

Robb possessed cocaine on Sept. 12, 2019.

Also in Common Pleas Court:

— Michael Earich, 50, Campground Road, Wellsville, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, with sentencing set for Sept. 6. He was accused of possessing cocaine on May 27, 2022.

— Glenn Galloway, 41, Chester, W.Va., was sentenced to six months in prison for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for possessing methamphetamine on June 26, 2020. He received credit for 21 days served in jail.
