LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set July 29 for Kenneth Taylor Jr., 45, Avondale Street, East Liverpool, charged with felonious assault, a first-degree felony, fourth-degree felony domestic violence and misdemeanor resisting arrest. Taylor was accused of striking a woman in the face during a domestic on July 20 in East Liverpool. When police arrived, Taylor was allegedly armed with knives, refused to obey commands and advanced toward officers and was tased several times before he stopped resisting arrest.

A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set July 29 for Nick Rhodes, 50, old state Route 344, Leetonia, charged with third-degree felony tampering with evidence, fourth-degree felony aggravated menacing and misdemeanors of domestic violence, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. Rhodes allegedly threatened a woman with a knife during a domestic incident on July 21 in Leetonia where he broke the shifter of her vehicle, threatened to break the window when she locked him out of the vehicle and threw the knife at the rear driver’s side tire, causing the tire to deflate. He also allegedly tampered with the knife in the garage after the incident and when told he was being detained, he allegedly ran from a sheriff’s deputy, refused commands to turn around and place his hands behind his back and was tased, again running and then fighting with deputies handcuffing him.

A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Aug. 26 for Darrell Reynolds Jr., 30, Cleveland, charged with third-degree felony tampering with evidence and misdemeanor resisting arrest. A charge of obstructing official business was dismissed by the court due to an insufficient complaint. Reynolds allegedly attempted to hide a bag of marijuana by allegedly swallowing it during a traffic stop on July 19 when he resisted arrest in East Liverpool.

A pretrial was set Oct. 24 for Robert Hazel, 39, Tallmadge, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct for an agreed upon price of $60 from an undercover agent, driving to Salem on July 19 for the meeting.

Clara Richards, 26, Sherman Street, Lisbon, was fined $150 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 29 days suspended and credit for one day served for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence at the request of the prosecutor due to evidentiary issues. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. She was accused of pushing a man who advised an assault took place on Feb. 9 in Lisbon.

A sentencing hearing was set Aug. 1 for Devon Dunn, 29, Passlane Drive, Lisbon, who pleaded guilty to violation of a protection order for sending a message via social media to a protected person on Feb. 22 in Hanover Township.

A pretrial was set Aug. 1 for Heather Barnhouse, 49, Clearview Drive, East Liverpool, charged with assault for allegedly spitting in another woman’s face during an argument on July 20 in St. Clair Township.

Annica Fox, 30, Warren, was fined $400 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for possessing criminal tools and soliciting for offering sex for hire, arranging to meet an undercover police officer for sexual activity in exchange for $300, and arriving in East Palestine on Nov. 3, 2023 for the meeting. Fox was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.

A pretrial was set Sept. 24 for Nickalaus Rutherford, 39, Cuyahoga Falls, charged with four counts of passing bad checks for allegedly writing checks on a closed account to Giant Eagle for $234.39 on Nov. 1, 2019 and for $277.43 on Oct. 31, 2019, to Pottery City for $396.77 on Oct. 24, 2019 and to Giant Eagle for $227.35 on Oct. 29, 2019.

A pretrial was set Sept. 26 for Amber Nicole Ice, 31, 10th Street, Wellsville, charged with theft and possessing criminal tools for allegedly taking 24 items valued at $89.81 from the Calcutta Walmart by using a seed packet to ring up the 24 items on July 14.

A pretrial was set Sept. 23 for Elisha Murphy, 40, Pickering Street, East Liverpool, after he was permitted to withdraw his previous guilty plea for criminal trespass for allegedly trespassing on the property of Renee Lewis in Lisbon on June 19 to work on the property next door after being told that contractors were not allowed on her property. He had been told by Lewis to move his scaffolding and not stay on her property to finish the work.

A pretrial was set Sept. 30 for Christopher Ewing, 40, Vine Street, Salem, charged with possession of drug abuse instrument, obstructing official business and drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing two glass pipes with white powder residue, multiple small baggies, a metal spoon with burnt residue and a black tray with white powder residue on May 12 during a traffic stop in Knox Township. During the stop, he allegedly provided a fictitious name and date of birth.

A pretrial was set Oct. 21 for Elizabeth Newlin, 28, Green Lane, East Liverpool, charged with criminal damaging, disorderly conduct and disorderly conduct-presence of emergency facility person for allegedly acting belligerent toward officers investigating a dispute in East Liverpool on July 19 and coming off the porch after being told to stay on there while officers talked to the other person. On July 20, she allegedly busted out a window while under the influence of alcohol and allegedly admitted to having thrown her father’s ashes through the window after an altercation.

A pretrial was set Aug. 13 for Donald Byrd, 51, St. George Street, East Liverpool, charged with maximum permissible height of weeds for allegedly having grass higher than 12 inches on May 7 in East Liverpool.

Myquia Tiasha McCoy, 25, Bacon Avenue, East Palestine, was fined $100 and sentenced two days in jail, with credit for two days served, for drug paraphernalia for possessing a burnt glass pipe on July 20 in East Liverpool.

A status conference hearing was set Aug. 22 and a jury trial was set Oct. 2 for Kerry Rouse, 48, Washington Street, Salem, charged with operating a vehicle impaired second offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years and improper/expired registration.

A pretrial was set Sept. 9 for Erick Rodriguez, 36, Center, Texas, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense, speeding and no seat belt.

Tyler Holenchick, 27, Bank Street, Salem, was fined $350 for driving under suspension and expired registration. Charges of unauthorized use and no motorcycle endorsement were dismissed.

A pretrial was set Oct. 24 for Erich Henkel, 40, Salem Unity Road, Salem, charged with forfeiture and improper/expired registration.

A pretrial was set Sept. 26 for Robert John Anderson III, 45, Dutchtown School Road, Rogers, charged with driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set Oct. 21 for Michael Smith, 19, Industry, Pa., charged with speeding.

A pretrial was set Sept. 10 for Logan Stitch, 23, McDonald, Pa., charged with speeding.

Sloan Doni, 35, Youngstown, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.

Jessica Hart, 47, Leake Street, East Palestine, was fined $200 for wrongful entrustment. A charge of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

Lisa Pardell, 56, Bell School Road, East Liverpool, was fined $50 for a tail lights violation A charge of driving under suspension was dismissed.

Brandon Woodburn, 20, Alliance, was fined $50 for speeding.

Bradley Tingler, 44, Hammondsville Road, Wellsville, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.

Daniel Allmon, 35, Sebring, was fined $175 for driving under suspension.
