LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, cases against Bruce Smith, 53, Beverly Drive, Columbiana, were bound over to the county grand jury for felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and misdemeanor domestic violence for allegedly punching a woman several times in the face and abdomen, causing injury on May 11 in Columbiana.
Cases against Alec Hamling 39, Gavers Road, Hanoverton, were bound over to the county grand jury for fourth-degree felony theft and misdemeanor obstructing official business for allegedly hiding when deputies asked him to come out of his residence and attempting to run from a back door on May 13 in Hanoverton. On May 12, he allegedly took a 2005 Honda Odyssey minivan belonging to a woman.
A pretrial was set June 24 for Joe Eugene Amick, 52, Altoona, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $240, traveling to East Palestine on March 15 for the meeting.
James Choate, 32, Salem Alliance Road, Salem, was fined $400 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended and credit for nine days serving, leaving one day still to serve, for domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service. He was accused of breaking things in a woman’s home on Nov. 4, 2023 in Salem, pushing her in the chest with his hands and threatening to damage her vehicle and hide drugs in the home to get her in trouble with law enforcement.
Beau Manley, 41, Wood Street, East Palestine, was fined $950 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 90 days suspended and credit for 32 days served, leaving a balance of 58 days still to serve, for obstructing official business, amended from felony obstructing justice, another count of obstructing official business, domestic violence, assault, theft and criminal trespass. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to stay away from the victim. Manley was accused of head butting another man in the face and spitting in his face on July 24, 2023 for the assault charge. He was accused of climbing into the bins at the Way Station in East Palestine to steal clothing on March 13 and 14 this year. Police saw a video of the incident on March 15. On May 10 this year, he provided false information about the whereabouts of a woman wanted on a warrant while she was hiding with him. On May 12 this year, he threatened physical harm to a relative who gave keys to police for the location where the woman was hiding and also refused to come out of a room when police came to arrest him in East Palestine.
Brandi Pardell, 38, Irish Ridge Road, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 82 days suspended and credit for eight days served, for assault, amended from domestic violence. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Pardell grabbed another woman’s wrist and kicked her shin during a domestic on May 13 in St. Clair Township.
A pretrial was set Aug.15 for Brock Baddeley, 23, Newgarden Avenue, Salem, charged with assault for allegedly punching two different women during a fight at Fernengal’s Tavern in Salem on April 28.
Bryon Chadwick, 55, Depot Road, Lisbon, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 167 days suspended and credit for 13 days served, for aggravated menacing. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Chadwick was accused of threatening a woman during an argument, retrieving a rifle and waving it around stating she would be gone and then leaving the residence on May 7 on Depot Road, Lisbon.
Diedre Hunter, 40, Salineville Road, Salineville, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct, amended from assault, for hitting another woman with a thick glass bowl during an altercation on April 3, 2023 in Salineville.
David Tucker, 45, state Route 172, Kensington, was fined $150 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for possessing a defaced firearm. The firearm had been handed over to troopers investigating an incident at Zepernick Lake which left Tucker with minor injuries on March 3, 2023. The serial number had been filed off of the gun.
A pretrial was set July 2 for Brittini Duris, 32, Pauls Lane, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for 110 items totaling $505 at the Calcutta Walmart on Feb. 3.
Gloria Sosack, 36, Boring Lane, East Liverpool, was fined $300 and given suspended jail terms of 30 and 60 days for criminal trespass and criminal mischief. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. She was accused of beating on the door of an East Liverpool home with a baseball bat on Nov. 19, 2023 and trespassing in an abandoned home in East Liverpool on Dec. 24, 2023.
A pretrial was set July 25 for Johnathan Vinkler, 47, Petersburg, charged with obstructing official business, driving in violation of a driving restriction, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct for allegedly violating his driver’s license restriction by driving to an East Palestine property where he was not welcome, then lying to officers claiming he was driven there by a friend on May 5. He also allegedly caused a disturbance at the residence.
David Gamble, 35, Park Place, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 60 days in jail, with credit for three days served, leaving a balance of 57 days to serve, for violating a protection order. On Oct. 6, 2023, he made a woman in East Liverpool believe he was going to cause her harm, attempting to kick her door down.
Jordyn Price, 26, McKee Road, Wellsville, was fined $600 and sentenced to 60 days in jail, with credit for eight days served, for two counts carrying a concealed weapon and two counts of drug paraphernalia. Price was accused of possessing two loaded weapons in her vehicle during a traffic stop on Sept. 1, 2023 in St. Clair Township, along with drug paraphernalia. On April 6, 2023, she possessed drug paraphernalia including a digital scale with residue and a rolled up dollar bill with residue during a traffic stop in Yellow Creek Township.
Steven Cable, 29, Beaver, Pa., was fined $180 for disorderly conduct, amended from drug paraphernalia, and no seat belt. Cable possessed a burnt pipe with residue on Feb. 8 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set June 20 for Valorie Hammond, 38, Knoxville, Tenn., charged with two counts of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instrument for allegedly possessing a burnt glass meth pipe during a traffic stop on May 4 in East Liverpool and for possessing a makeup bag containing two used syringes and other paraphernalia during a traffic stop on April 24 in St. Clair Township.
Jonathan Weyand, 31, Chester, was fined $300 for drug paraphernalia and an equipment violation, amended from marked lanes, for possessing a cut plastic straw with residue during a traffic stop in St. Clair Township on Nov. 4, 2023.
A pretrial was set Aug. 20 for Wesley Lipscomb, 38, Franklin Square Road, Leetonia, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a smoking pipe, digital scale and grinder during a traffic stop on April 25 in Leetonia.
Jennifer Stratton, 32, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for disorderly conduct, amended from endangering children. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Stratton was accused of creating a risk to children after juveniles were found playing close to the road in Salem on May 23, 2023 and said their guardian was at work.
Dylan Henderson, 18, Campbell, was fined $200 for drug paraphernalia for possessing a bag for the storage of drugs during an incident on Feb. 25 at a Salem gas station.
A pretrial was set May 28 for Justin Buckle, 32, Dakota Street, East Liverpool, charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer and unsafe vehicle. Buckle allegedly fled from East Liverpool police attempting a traffic stop on May 20. He was fined $250 for improper turn, speeding, turn signal violation, failure to signal and failure to yield.
A pretrial was set Aug. 5 for Andrew Mihalson, 59, Sharon, Pa., charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense.
Carrie Martin, 35, Industry, Pa., was fined $1,055 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in driver intervention program, for OVI, stop sign and no seat belt. Her driver’s license was suspended for one year. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. A charge of endangering children while operating a vehicle was dismissed. Martin had a juvenile passenger in the vehicle when she was driving impaired and crashed on Aug. 19, 2023 in Unity Township.
Eric M. Kibler, 35, Neeld Road, East Palestine, was fined $875 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended and credit for nine days served, leaving one day still to serve, for OVI. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service. His driver’s license was suspended for one year.
David Vallera, 60, Wood Street, Wellsville, was fined $250 for reckless operation, amended from OVI, and failure to control.
A pretrial was set Aug 19 for Sophia Slight, 22, state Route 517, Lisbon, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense and reasonable control.
A pretrial was set July 1 for Steven Faulkner, 39, South Vine Street, Columbiana, charged with two counts of driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set July 16 for Kathy-Jo Tuder, 43, Sunnyside Street, East Liverpool, charged with reckless operation.
A pretrial was set Aug. 13 for Christopher Pate, 43, Summerset Road, East Liverpool, charged with speeding.
A pretrial was set Aug. 15 for Robert Esarey, 18, U.S. Route 30, Lisbon, charged wit speeding.
A pretrial was set June 3 for Cole Sanor, 18, Misty Morning Lane, Beloit, charged with improper/expired registration and driving while texting.
Katina McGurl, 44, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $50 for no license, amended from driving under suspension.
William Gump, 33, Gassaway, W.Va., was fined $100 for driving under suspension and expired temporary tag.
