LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Joseph Quinn, 23, Orchard Street, East Liverpool, was bound over to the county grand jury for two counts of theft, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly stealing wallets from two separate vehicles in East Liverpool on Feb. 29 and using the bank card of one victim at Main Land Gas Station.
A case against Douglas Pridemore, 54, last known address Commerce Street, Wellsville, was bound over to the county grand jury for second-degree felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault for allegedly grabbing a woman by the throat and choking her until she couldn’t breathe on Feb. 19 in Wellsville. He was also fined $600 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with credit for 13 days, leaving 17 days to serve in jail for three counts of theft. Pridemore was accused of taking a 65-inch television from the Calcutta Walmart on March 12 without paying for it, stealing underwear, body wash and detergent from Dollar General in East Liverpool on March 14, taking a bottle of Fireball and a charger from Duke and Duchess in Columbiana on Feb. 22.
A pretrial was set Aug. 1 for Nicole Polen, 40, Fairfield Avenue, Columbiana, charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest for allegedly being the aggressor in an altercation with a man on April 16 in Columbiana. When police arrived, she allegedly became more disorderly by raising her voice and making preposterous statements and not following officer commands. She allegedly pulled away when officers attempted to handcuff her and resisted.
A pretrial was set May 23 for Harleigh Crawford, 22, listed as homeless, East Liverpool, charged with intoxication and possession of drug abuse instrument for an incident April 28 in East Liverpool for public intoxication and for possessing syringes in East Liverpool on April 9.
Matthew Grant Bucek, 44, Pittsburgh, Pa., was fined $450 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 160 days suspended and credit for two days served, leaving 18 days still to serve in jail, for possessing criminal tools amended from engaging in prostitution, another count of possessing criminal tools, weapons while intoxicated amended from a felony charge of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and open container. He was also fined $875 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. His driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted. Bucek was accused of responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with females in exchange for $240, then driving to East Palestine on Feb. 18 for the meeting. When he arrived, he allegedly had in his possession his cell phone used to make the arrangements, an open bottle of whiskey and a handgun.
William Edward Johnson, 66, Atwater, was fined $750 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 29 days suspended and credit for one day served, for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and a 12-hour online prostitution prevention course. Johnson responded to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranged for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $180, traveling to East Palestine on May 16 for the meeting.
A pretrial was set Aug. 1 for Joshua Matthew McBride, 33, Butler, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $50, then traveling to East Palestine on May 13 for the meeting.
A pretrial was set May 23 for Joseph Giralico, 40, Quay Road, Negley, charged with resisting arrest and possessing drug abuse instruments for allegedly fleeing into nearby woods when a deputy arrived to serve a warrant on May 14 on state Route 154, Negley. The deputy gave chase and tased him after several commands were given and he started to reach in his waistband. On April 29, he possessed syringes during a traffic stop in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Aug. 15 for Shawn Peddicord, 42, Prospect Street, Salem, charged with theft for allegedly tricking another man into paying $60 for an empty Visa gift card that was supposed to have $100 on it on May 12 in East Liverpool.
Joni Lynn McDole, 31, Moore Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 60 days in jail for endangering children for not doing anything to protect a child from a man at an East Liverpool residence who assaulted the boy in 2023 in East Liverpool.
James Elliott, 33, Vernia Street, East Liverpool, was fined $100 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 29 days suspended, leaving one day to serve in jail, for theft. He was ordered to stay out of Walmarts in Columbiana County. Elliott failed to pay for five items totaling $54 at the Calcutta Walmart on May 3.
Riley Waite, 20, West North Avenue, East Palestine, was fined $100 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended and credit for three days served, for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence. Waite was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. He was accused of pushing another male against the kitchen wall and charging at him, with the victim punching him in the face in self-defense on April 27 in East Palestine.
Bryant Rather, 37, Pittsburgh, Pa., was fined $150 and sentenced to six days in jail, with credit for six days served, for speeding and driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set Aug. 12 for Tabatha McLaughlin, 34, Shadylane Drive, East Liverpool, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing two cut straws with white powder residue during a traffic stop on May 13 in Liverpool Township.
Corley Brean, 50, South Main Street, Columbiana, was fined $200 for driving under suspension.
Jose Alvarez, 46, Youngstown, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
Lisa Buchanan, 54, West Seventh Street, East Liverpool, was fined $75 for loud exhaust. A charge of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.
Todd Sevek, 37, Purinton Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
