Grand Jury
LISBON — A man accused of passing two stolen checks and defrauding the owner out of $937 was served recently with a secret indictment issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury.
Michael Hover, 33, East Third Street, Salem, was charged with fifth-degree felony receiving stolen property and misdemeanors of theft and passing bad checks, all related to the two checks on March 9.
Also served with secret indictments were:
— Randy Newberry, 65, Morris Road, Lisbon, fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs and misdemeanors of driving under suspension, two counts operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and invalid license plate for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and committing the traffic offenses on June 28, 2023.
— Larry Blakely, 33, Follansbee, W.Va., open burning or open dumping of solid waste for an incident March 28, 2021.
— Morgan Gantz, 24, New Brighton, Pa., fifth-degree felonies of possession of LSD and two counts aggravated possession of drugs for allegedly possessing LSD, MDMA, dimethylamphetamine and flualprazolam on Sept. 26, 2021.
— Christopher Stevens, 35, Canton, fifth-degree felony nonsupport of dependents for allegedly failing to pay child support from July 4, 2021 to July 2, 2023.
— Amber Torres, 37, Milbourne Avenue, East Liverpool, fifth-degree felony possession of drugs for allegedly possessing alprazolam on April 9, 2022.
