Grand Jury
LISBON — A Lisbon man accused of menacing by stalking and other charges involving a female victim was one of several defendants served recently with secret indictments issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury.
Timothy Adkins, 47, Grant Street, was charged with fourth-degree felony menacing by stalking, fifth-degree felonies of telecommunications harassment, theft and telecommunications fraud, and misdemeanors of misuse of a credit card and theft.
The menacing and harassment charges stem from Nov. 14, 2023 to April 12, 2024 when he allegedly engaged in a pattern of conduct to cause the woman to believe he would cause her physical harm and also harassed her. The other charges all stem from Jan. 15, 2024 when he allegedly stole the woman’s credit card, misused the credit card and stole $15.97 from the woman while also allegedly committing telecommunications fraud.
Others served with secret indictments were:
— Melvin Hershberger, 19, Rome, fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on Feb. 12, 2023.
— Searrah Powell, 22, Densmore Avenue, East Liverpool, fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on Oct. 9, 2023.
— Christopher Ewing, 40, state Route 644, Kensington, fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on Oct. 30, 2023.
