LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against John Wayne Chaffin, 35, state Route 154, Rogers, was bound over to the county grand jury for one count of fifth-degree felony illegal- minor in nudity oriented material/performance, one count of fourth-degree felony illegal- minor in nudity oriented material/performance, and drug paraphernalia for allegedly uploading 10 images of child pornographic material to the Google infrastructure. During the execution of a search warrant at Chaffin’s residence in Rogers on Feb. 29, officers also found numerous methamphetamine pipes.
A case against Christopher West, 31, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was bound over to the county grand jury for one count of domestic violence for allegedly punching another person in the face.
A preliminary hearing was set June 3 for Eugene Arcuragi, 70, Toronto, charged with second-degree felony felonious assault for allegedly assaulting another man in Wellsville on April 19.
A preliminary hearing and pretrial were set April 29 for Donna Potts, 35, Avondale Street, East Liverpool, charged with second-degree felony burglary, arson, and assault, for allegedly climbing into a person’s window in East Liverpool and using a propane torch to destroy several items in their home and striking the person on the head with the torch on Feb. 26. Potts was also charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly being found with a piece of glass heavily coated with a white powder/crystal-like substance, a cut straw, and a broken glass smoking pipe burned with residue in Columbiana on April 20.
A preliminary hearing and pretrial were set April 29 for David Adams, 46, Garner Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with a third-degree felony having weapons under disability, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest for allegedly being found with a handgun in his possession, and then running away from police in East Liverpool on April 19.
A preliminary hearing and a pretrial was set May 13 for Billy Hin Chan, 41, Broadview Heights, charged with engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools, and third-degree felony tampering with evidence, for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging to have sexual activity with a female in exchange for $80, using the cell phone found in his possession to make the arrangements, and then allegedly deleting the message thread between himself and the undercover agent on his texting app when approached by marked police cars on April 19.
A pretrial was set June 17 for Antonio Deleon, 30, Market Street, Columbiana, charged with assault for allegedly hyper-extending another inmate’s arm twice at the Columbiana County Jail on April 11.

Baughman, 53, Toronto, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging to have sexual activity with a woman in exchange for $100, using the cell phone found in his possession to make the arrangements, in East Palestine on April 19.
A pretrial was set July 8 for Shawn Wade Eddy, 47, Alliance, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual conduct in exchange for $160, using the cell phone found in his possession to make the arrangements, in Salem on April 19.
A pretrial was set June 17 for Ronald Joseph Orsulak, 57, McKeesport, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging to have sexual activity with a female in exchange for $140, using the cell phone found in his possession to make the arrangements, in East Palestine on March 31.
A pretrial was set July 15 for Kierstin Derosky, 27, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly stealing a vehicle and $200 from its center console from the East Liverpool High School parking lot on April 18.
A pretrial was set May 9 for Mark Zocolo, 56, Garfield Avenue, East Palestine, charged with two counts of criminal damaging and one count of domestic violence, for allegedly kicking in a bathroom door that knocked down a woman, causing injury to her head, in Columbiana on April 20.
Kaelynn Duncan, 30, Commerce Street, Wellsville, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 180 days suspended, leaving zero days left to serve, for a charge of petty theft for failing to scan and pay for 22 items totaling $138 at the Calcutta Walmart on Dec. 21, 2023.
Sarah Updyke, 44, Canton, was fined $195 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 89 days suspended and credit for one day served, leaving zero days left to serve, for charges of possession of drug abuse instrument and turn signals. Updyke was also ordered to perform 40 hours of community service.
Courtney Britton, 31, Densmore Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for theft for failing to scan and pay for 12 items totaling $47.41 from the Calcutta Walmart on June 29, 2023.
Thomas Holman, 43, County Home, Lisbon, was sentenced to serve 30 days of suspended jail time for violation of a protection order.
A probation violation hearing was set May 2 for Ryan McCauley, 43, Lincoln Avenue, Wellsville, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly stealing multiple items of deodorant and concealing them in his camouflage jacket, then taking off running from the Calcutta Walmart on Nov. 1, 2020, and then lying to officers.
Robert Jordan, 45, Ogden Street, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended, leaving three days left to serve, and fined $250 for drug paraphernalia.
Vanessa Rasch, 22, Autumn Road, Wellsville, was fined $200 for a charge of permitting underage consumption for selling a six-pack of Miller Lite to an underage person during an alcohol compliance investigation conducted by Ohio Department of Public Safety Investigative Unit agents at King’s Carry-Out in Wellsville on Jan. 8.
A pretrial was set July 11 for John Lanam, 43, Summit Avenue, Niles, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
A charge of possession of marijuana against Joseph Walters, 40, Faulk Avenue, East Liverpool, was dismissed.
Bret Young, 32, East Liverpool, was fined $200 for driving under financial restriction suspension. A charge of possession of marijuana was dismissed.
Nicole Hayes, 35, Rose Drive, Lisbon, was fined $150 and sentenced to one day in jail for criminal trespass for arguing with another woman at a property that Hayes had been trespassed from in Salem on Oct. 12, 2023.
A pretrial was set July 8 for Zackary McKenzie, 31, Annesley Road, East Liverpool, charged with two counts of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs- second offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years, driving under suspension/restriction, reckless operation, violation seat belt law driver, and left of center, stemming from two separate incidents.
A pretrial was set June 24 for Mindy Jenkins, 40, West Sixth Street, Salem, charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs- first offense and speed.
A pretrial was set June 18 for Mark Culley Jr., 31, North Summer Street, East Palestine, charged with driving under OVI suspension.
A pretrial was set July 15 for Damien Jones, 21, Stagecoach Road, East Liverpool, charged with OVI-first offense and marked lanes.
A pretrial was set July 9 for David Bello, 75, Winona Road, Salem, charged with failure to stop after an accident and improper backing.
A court trial was set May 18 for Jennifer Crews, 46, Cunningham Road, Salem, charged with speed.
Rebecca Grey, 30, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
A pretrial was set July 11 for Michael Nagel, 39, Washingtonville, charged with criminal trespass for allegedly being found on a posted uninhabitable property in Leetonia on April 19.
