LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Wesley Dean Theberge, 29, Pittsburgh, Pa., was bound over to the county grand jury for second-degree felony pandering obscenity involving a minor-transport across state line, fifth-degree felony illegal-minor in nudity oriented material/perform and misdemeanors of engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools.
Theberge was accused of allegedly possessing a large quantity of images depicting minors in a state of nudity on a USB flash drive on March 29 in East Palestine. Theberge was in East Palestine after responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for money, with the meeting to take place in the village on March 29.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set April 15 for Brent Miller, 39, Aetna Street, Salem, charged with third-degree felony operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and misdemeanors of OVI fourth offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years and driving under suspension. The charges stem from a traffic stop on April 8 in Salem, with Miller’s record including a previous felony OVI in 2020, and OVIs in 2018, 2016 and 2012.
A pretrial was set June 3 for Madison Schreckengost, 21, Stow, charged with possessing criminal tools and soliciting for allegedly posting an ad on a known website used for solicitation of prostitution, soliciting sexual conduct from an undercover agent for $100, then arriving in Salem on Dec. 6, 2023 for the meeting.
Placido Martinez, 47, Center Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 173 days suspended and credit for seven days served for domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 60 hours community service and have no contact with the victim. He was accused of hitting a woman inside his vehicle during a traffic stop on April 1 in East Liverpool.
Mark Kireta, 55, Clark Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 160 days suspended, leaving a balance of 20 days to serve for aggravated menacing and assault and criminal damaging. On March 17, Kireta was accused of threatening a man and putting his hands on him and beginning to fight in Wellsville.
Capri Peake, 23, Austintown, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 179 days suspended and credit for one day served for attempt, amended from possession of drugs. She was ordered to complete 60 hours community service. Peake was accused of possessing a pill with a Hello Kitty imprint that tested positive for methamphetamine on July 8, 2023 in Columbiana.
Susan Poth, 25, Lexington Avenue, Salem, was fined $1,365 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended, leaving 10 days to serve for obstructing official business, amended from felony obstructing justice, endangering children, OVI, temporary instruct permit required and failure to display valid sticker. Her driver’s license was suspended for one year and she was ordered to complete 40 hours community service. Poth allegedly lied about a wanted felon being at a Salem residence on Aug. 27. The traffic charges stemmee from a traffic stop Feb. 23 in Salem when Poth was allegedly driving impaired with a child in the vehicle.
Kayla Clingerman, 37, Youngstown, was fined $350 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 21 days suspended and credit for nine days served for illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. She was ordered to complete 60 hours community service. Clingerman possessed a small bag with an unknown residue which she said contained methamphetamine on April 1 in Salem. Police had responded for a suspicious person and when officers attempted to make contact, she began to walk away and she spit out the small plastic bag from her mouth. The disorderly charge stemmed from an incident Feb. 10 when she was found standing on the fog line on state Route 45, Salem with a plastic bag containing a bottle of vodka that was partially empty. Deputies had been dispatched to the area for someone walking into the roadway and swinging something at vehicles as they drove by.
Jordan Paul Williams, 32, Bradshaw Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $1,400 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 160 days suspended, leaving a balance of 20 days to serve for failure to control and OVI second in 10 years, amended from an OVI third offense. His driver’s license was suspended for two years and he was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.
Christopher Gaines, 21, Rose Avenue, Salem, was fined $100 and sentenced to seven days in jail, with credit for seven days served, for theft for stealing $400 worth of merchandise while working at the Salem Walmart over various dates since February. Officers responded to the store for the employee theft on April 1. Two third-degree felony charges of failure to verify change of address and failure to verify residence address were dismissed due to a clerical/recordkeeping error, with costs taxed to the state.
A criminal damaging charge was dismissed against David Young, 45, Padgett Road, East Palestine, at the request of the prosecutor because the alleged victim was now out of state. Young had been accused of doing a burnout which threw gravel, damaging a windshield on March 14, 2023 in East Palestine.
A pretrial was set April 22 for Jordyn Price, 26, Spring Grove Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with OVI first offense and speeding.
Jaci Trosky, 55, Enon Valley, Pa., was fined $150 for an equipment violation, amended from speeding.
Brittany Buckel, no age listed, Michigan Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $3,000 for six counts of failure to file city income tax return, with all but $50 of the fine suspended on the condition that he comply with any payment plan entered and file all returns when due. Buckel failed to file East Liverpool city income tax returns in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2023.
A charge of maximum height of weeds was dismissed against Justin Meiser, 42, Copely. He was accused of grass and weeds being more than 2 feet in height at an East Liverpool property on June 8, 2023.
James Howell, 39, Michigan Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $550 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for drug paraphernalia, two counts driving under suspension, failure to stop after an accident and failure to control. Howell possessed a burnt glass pipe in East Liverpool.
April Badamo, 22, Anderson Boulevard, East Liverpool, was fined $350 for criminal trespass, no license and unauthorized plate. Badamo was found inside a building trespassing on Dec. 21, 2023 in East Liverpool.
Luis Manuel Alicea Vazquez, 24, Youngstown, was fined $150 for driving under suspension and expired registration.
A pretrial was set June 10 for Keith Dugan, 46, Bridgeville, Pa., charged with speeding.
Jonathon Figley, 21, Struthers, was fined $250 for use of unauthorized plate.
Kevin Barron, 36, Youngstown, was fined $100 for a stop sign violation.
Vincenzo Cranmer, 19, U.S. Route 62, Salem, was fined $100 for unsafe vehicle, amended from traffic control devices.
Kyle Lucas, 29, Walnut Street, Leetonia, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set May 14 for Lisa Marie Cunningham, 21, Avondale, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set June 11 for Alan Williams, 35, East Main Street, Salineville, charged with a stop sign violation.
A pretrial was set April 15 for Keith Burnside, 61, Struthers, charged with speeding.
