LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set April 15 for David Price, 53, Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, charged with second-degree felony felonious assault for allegedly smashing things in a house in Wellsville and striking another man on the leg with a hammer while he was attempting to stop Price on April 7.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set April 15 for Charles Edward Krause, 52, Vienna, charged with fourth-degree felony promote prostitution-transport across state lines for sex for hire and misdemeanors of driving under suspension, falsification and possession of drugs III, IV and V. Krause allegedly drove a woman to Salem knowing that she would engage in sexual conduct for hire on April 6. After he was also arrested for falsification for using his brother's personal information, two unopened Suboxone strips were found inside his wallet and he did not have a prescription for Suboxone.
A preliminary hearing was set April 11 for Misha Morris, Middletown, Del., charged with fifth-degree felony theft for an alleged theft of $2,071 worth of merchandise from East Palestine Rite Aid on April 4.

A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set April 15 for Knowledgeborn Furman Jamel Price, 48, Pennsylvania Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with third-degree felonies of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs second felony offense, another OVI, carrying a concealed weapon, fifth-degree felony improper handling of firearm in a motor vehicle, third-degree felony having weapons while under disability and misdemeanors of driving under suspension and improper/expired registration. The charges stem from a traffic stop April 7 in East Liverpool when he allegedly possessed a loaded gun and was under the influence.
A preliminary hearing was set April 15 for Logan Mitchell Larlham, 26, Youngstown, charged with attempted, possessing criminal tools and possession of drugs for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and requesting to have the female brought to his hotel in Boardman so she could provide sex for hire services and refer her clients to him for drug sales. He arranged for a driver to take him to pick up the female. Suspected methamphetamine was in his possession when he was taken into custody in East Palestine.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set May 2 for Robert Pavalko, 44, Youngstown, charged with fifth-degree felony possession of drugs and misdemeanor permitting drug abuse for allegedly possessing suspected methamphetamine while transporting another man to East Palestine on April 6, knowing the other man was committing a felony drug offense.
A preliminary hearing was set May 2 for Tyler Gorby, 21, South Pricetown Road, Damascus, charged with improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle for allegedly having a pistol with a loaded magazine in his car during a traffic stop on April 6 in Salem.
David Gilchrist, 47, Aliquippa, Pa., was fined $750 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour course, which was already completed. Gilchrist was accused of responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $140, arriving in East Palestine on Jan. 6 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements.
Stephen P. Peck, 57, Baden, Pa., was fined $750 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $160, traveling to East Palestine on Dec. 26 for the meeting in possession of the phone used to make the arrangements. He was also ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour education course.
A pretrial was set June 24 for Vincent White, 30, Akron, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct for an agreed upon price of $100 from an undercover agent, then driving to Salem for the meeting on April 5.
A pretrial was set June 27 for Samantha Tenney, 30, Warren, charged with possessing criminal tools and soliciting for allegedly posting an ad on a known website used for solicitation of prostitution and soliciting an undercover agent posing as a purchaser of sex for an agreed upon price of $200, then traveling to Salem for the meeting on April 6 with the cell phone used to make the arrangements.
Joshua J. Fayak, 42, Steubenville, was fined $500 and given a suspended 60-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and a 12-hour online prostitution prevention course. Fayak was accused of requesting sexual conduct for an agreed upon price of $160 from an undercover agent, and then driving to Salem on March 22 for the meeting.
A pretrial was set June 24 for Brandon Dunn, 39, Chester, W.Va., charged with obstructing official business for allegedly leaving a parking lot in a vehicle after an alleged drug transaction in a St. Clair Township parking lot.
Louis Greco, 57, Milton Street, East Liverpool, was fined $100 for disorderly conduct, amended from theft, and was ordered to pay $20.92 to Giant Eagle. Greco was accused of failing to pay for $20.92 worth of items at the Calcutta Giant Eagle on Jan. 17.
A pretrial was set April 15 for Jamie Tice Jr., 23, Malone Road, Salineville, charged with inducing panic and criminal endangerment for allegedly putting something in a microwave that sparked and then taking it out and placing it in a closet, resulting in a fire in the Columbiana County jail on April 5 and causing the evacuation of an inmate pod. He claimed he was just trying to smoke some coffee and had no intention of starting a fire.
Amanda Durbin, 38, Rockport, N.Y., was fined $300 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, with credit for one day served, leaving nine days to serve, for theft, possessing criminal tools and drug paraphernalia for possessing seven glass pipes with residue during a shoplifting incident at the Calcutta Walmart on Sept. 23 when she used a $1 tag off of an item and used it to scan four items totaling $54 and tried to leave without paying.
Lisa Goodrich, 39, South Lundy Avenue, Salem, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 150 days suspended and credit for seven days served, leaving 23 days still to serve, for permitting drug abuse and endangering children. She was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and a parenting course. Goodrich was accused of allowing people associated with narcotics to stay in her home, with drug paraphernalia easily accessible to a 14-year-old living in the residence at the time on May 8. The Columbiana County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence and found narcotics pipes and a syringe.
A status hearing was set May 20 and a court trial was set June 3 for Nicole Carr, 36, Ambrose Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with making false alarms for allegedly filing a false missing persons complaint on July 5 in East Liverpool and being found with the alleged missing person on July 8 at the Thompson Park pool.
Leroy McEldowney, 44, College Street, East Liverpool, was fined $100 for disorderly conduct for pulling down his pants and exposing his bare buttocks to another person on June 7, 2022 in East Liverpool.
A domestic violence charge was dismissed against Larry Ellis Jr., 39, state Route 45, Lisbon, by the prosecutor due to the victim being uncooperative. Ellis had been accused of holding a knife in his hand and threatening a woman with it on Sept. 28, 2023 in Madison Township. He was fined $150 and sentenced to one day in jail, with credit for one day served, for criminal trespass.
A pretrial was set April 18 for Kenneth Mosti, 47, Hammondsville, charged with failure to comply, for allegedly fleeing from police attempting a traffic stop on Aug. 16, 2023, traveling an additional 3 miles before stopping.
Perry Wells, 45, Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $300 for expired tag and obstructing official business for jumping out of the driver seat and running into a residence during a traffic stop on Sept. 13, 2023 in St. Clair Township.
A sentencing hearing was set April 18 for Rachel Hess, 30, Sixth Avenue, East Liverpool, who pleaded guilty to drug paraphernalia for possessing three glass pipes commonly used for smoking methamphetamine on March 18 in East Liverpool
A pretrial was set June 6 for Steven Barr, 38, Ellwood City, Pa., charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs second offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years, no seat belt, no valid license and reasonable control.
Sentencing was set April 25 for Harry Wrightsman, 71, Sixth Street, Wellsville, who pleaded no contest and was found guilty of OVI first offense and speeding.
Bryar Smith-Detwiler, 18, Walnut Street, Rogers, was fined $920 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for OVI and reasonable control. His driver's license was suspended for one year and he was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.
A pretrial was set May 2 for Tyler Andrew Gorby, 21, Damascus, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense and two lights displayed.
Clayton Hawke, 44, Hazel Run Road, Wellsville, was fined $225 for driving under suspension, a stop sign violation and expired registration.
A pretrial was set June 10 for Margaret Vance, 68, New Garden Road, Salem, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense, reasonable control, and failure to display valid sticker.
Garrett Hughes, 25, Bergholz, was fined $150 for speeding.
