LISBON — A man accused of assaulting another man with some type of object in his hand and damaging a car windshield was ordered to prison for 12 months.
Steven Weyand, 33, last known address Canton, appeared for sentencing recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court for a lesser offense of aggravated assault, a fourth-degree, and misdemeanor criminal damaging. He was originally indicted for felonious assault, a second-degree felony, for assaulting the man on July 1, 2023 in Salineville, causing injury to the victim. He also hit the windshield of a woman’s car, causing damage.
Also in Common Pleas Court:
— David Sisco Jr., 33, Sixth Street, Wellsville, was placed on community control and ordered to serve up to six months at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center in Wintersville for third-degree felony illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility, fifth-degree felony possession of fentanyl-related compound and misdemeanors of possession of drugs and endangering children. Sisco brought drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility, possessed fentanyl and tramadol and put a child at risk, all on Oct. 14, 2021.
— Zachary Tice, 30, Cleveland Avenue, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 60 days in the county jail, with 59 days suspended, after pleading guilty to possession of fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing fentanyl on April 18, 2022. He had one day to serve in jail.
— Nicholas Faulk, 34, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to third-degree felony failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, with sentencing set for June 20. Faulk was accused of fleeing from police attempting a traffic stop on Aug. 22, 2023 in Salineville.
