LISBON -- An East Liverpool man who fled from police in 2022 and again in 2023 was sentenced to 30 months in prison after appearing for sentencing recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.
Randy W. Marshall, 33, Calcutta Smith Ferry Road, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for one third-degree felony failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, and an additional 12 months for a second count of third-degree felony failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, to be served consecutively for a total of 30 months or two and a half years. A 90-day jail term for driving under suspension was ordered served at the same time. He received credit for 64 days served.
His driver's license was suspended for 20 years. A charge of obstructing official business was dismissed.
Marshall was accused of fleeing Aug. 12, 2022 from St. Clair Township police officers attempting a traffic stop and again on May 6, 2023 on a motorcycle and then on foot before surrendering to K-9 Rebel and other officers.

-- Rickey Smith, 68, Warren, was placed on community control for three years after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine and possession of fentanyl-related compound, both fifth-degree felonies, with credit for two days served in jail. Smith possessed cocaine and fentanyl on Jan. 18, 2023.
-- Todd Sevek, 37, Hammond Park Drive, Wellsville, was placed on an intervention plan after pleading guilty to two counts of fifth-degree felony theft, one a lesser offense, and fourth-degree felony telecommunications fraud. He was originally charged with theft from a person in a protected class, a fourth-degree felony. Sevek was accused of taking money from an elderly woman's bank account in Wellsville from April 17, 2023 through April 26, 2023, stealing her debit card and taking $2,563.
-- Kenneth Kleinknecht, 51, Lisbon Road, Leetonia, pleaded guilty to nonsupport of dependents, a fifth-degree felony, with sentencing set for June 7. Kleinknecht failed to pay child support from March 7, 2021 to March 5, 2023.
-- A drug abuse charge from 2009 was dismissed against Patrick Nicotera, 42, Prospect Street Columbiana. A motion said the state no longer wished to pursue charges.
