LISBON — An Alliance man accused of stealing firearms from an East Palestine residence in 2022 was sentenced to 24 months in prison after recently pleading guilty to four felony counts.

Marc Bartholomew, 32, entered the plea in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to a lesser burglary offense, a third-degree felony instead of a second-degree felony, and three third-degree felony counts of grand theft when the property is a firearm or dangerous ordnance.

He received credit for 97 days already served in jail.

Bartholomew stole three firearms, including a shotgun, rifle and handgun, and ammunition from a residence on East Martin Street in East Palestine on Aug. 11, 2022.

Also in Common Pleas Court:

— Nehemiah Clinkscale, 23, Youngstown, was placed on community control for two years for complicity, a third-degree felony, which was a lesser charge from the original indictment of possession of fentanyl-related compound. Charges of aggravated possession of drugs and possession of heroin were dismissed. Clinkscale had originally been indicted for the three drug counts for possessing heroin, methamphetamine and fentanyl on July 8, 2022.

— Tyler Kolesar, 21, Crestview Road, Columbiana, had to spend five days in the county jail after his intervention was dishonorably terminated for violations of his community control. His community control was continued until Oct. 20, 2025. Last fall, Kolesar had been placed on intervention after pleading guilty to a lesser fourth-degree felony burglary charge. He was originally charged with third-degree felony burglary for the Jan. 22, 2023 incident when he and two others were found inside a South Market Street, East Palestine property after police discovered it was barricaded from the inside with a back door open. There had been complaints about people breaking into the structure and stealing items, according to an affidavit.
