LISBON — A man who failed to pay child support over a two-year period pleaded guilty recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to three counts of nonsupport of dependents, a fifth-degree felony.
Thomas Akers, 34, St. George Street, East Liverpool, was placed on probation on community control for three years. He was ordered to serve 30 days in the county jail as part of the community control, with credit for 30 days already served, leaving zero time to serve.
Akers failed to pay child support for three children from July 4, 2021 to July 2, 2023.
