LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Seth Joseph Mora, 30, Anderson Boulevard, East Liverpool, was bound over to the county grand jury for fourth-degree felony strangulation and misdemeanor domestic violence for allegedly choking a woman during a domestic on Jan. 27 in East Liverpool.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set April 1 for Amy Desimone, 53, Bailey Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with third-degree felony tampering with evidence and misdemeanors of resisting arrest, drug paraphernalia and marked lanes. During a traffic stop Feb. 13 in East Liverpool, Desimone allegedly attempted to hide a pipe while failing to follow police commands to stop, then started to pull away while trying to reach between her legs on the inside of her pants. Apparently the pipe was falling down her pant leg.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set March 25 for Susan Poth, 25, Lexington Avenue, Salem, for third-degree felony obstructing justice and misdemeanors of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, temporary instruct permit required, failure to display valid sticker and endangering children. Poth allegedly lied about a wanted felon being at a Salem residence on Aug. 27. The traffic charges stem from a traffic stop Feb. 23 in Salem when Poth was allegedly driving impaired with a child in the vehicle.
Frederick Corlett Christian, 65, Beaver Falls, Pa., was fined $150 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended and credit for three days served, for disorderly conduct, amended from engaging in prostitution. A charge of possessing criminal tools was dismissed. He was ordered to forfeit $140 to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, to complete 40 hours community service and an online prostitution prevention course. Christian was accused of responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $140, traveling to East Palestine on Dec. 1 for the meeting.
Aiden Joseph Colletti, 20, New Middletown, was fined $750 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for possessing criminal tools and engaging in prostitution for requesting sexual conduct with an undercover agent for an agreed upon price of $100 and driving to Salem on Oct. 27 for the meeting. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour education course.
Robert Levis Jr., 38, East Fifth Street, Salem, was fined $400 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 150 days suspended and credit for two days served, leaving 28 days still to serve, for two counts of assault. He was ordered to complete 60 hours community service and have no contact with the victim. Levis was accused of striking a juvenile on Dec. 6 in Salem multiple times, pulling her up by her shirt after she fell down and then throwing her behind the couch and smacking her again. The attack was on video, which police viewed.
A pretrial was set March 7 for Cody Hostetter, 22, North Pleasant Street, East Palestine, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a glass bubble pipe with burnt residue while being taken into custody for a warrant on Feb. 26 in Salem.
A pretrial was set March 4 for Dominic Crooms, 25, Summit Drive, Salineville, charged with menacing for allegedly causing another person to believe he was going to physically harm them, saying he wanted to fight and kill the victim on Feb. 26 in Salineville. He was allegedly upset due to the victim calling police about him being loud in his own apartment, the police affidavit said.
Drewskavioius McKinney, 35, Orchard Grove Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended and credit for three days served, for assault, amended from domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 30 hours community service. McKinney was accused of striking a woman with a closed fist in the head during a domestic on Nov. 10 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set March 14 for Randy Collins, 63, Walnut Street, Salem, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly lying to police on Feb. 26 in Salem when he told them people with warrants were not present in the home. He gave officers permission to search the apartment and they found a woman with a warrant hiding in a closet. She allegedly told police the defendant told her to hide in the closet.
A pretrial was set May 21 for Wesley Lipscomb, 37, old state Route 344, Leetonia, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense, OVI breath first offense, two counts failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, disorderly conduct and possessing marijuana for allegedly trying to kick in the door at the Corner Pocket bar on Front Street, Leetonia on Nov. 23, then starting to destroy some fall decorations outside. Deputies from the Columbiana County sheriff’s office found him hiding outside behind trash cans, then he fled on foot towards the railroad tracks. A baggy of green leafy vegetable buds was allegedly found in his possession. The OVI charges and one failure to comply stemmed from an Aug. 28, 2023 traffic stop.
Jerome Flenory, 36, Main Street, Hanoverton, was fined $50 for disorderly conduct, amended from a fourth-degree misdemeanor to a minor misdemeanor, with another charge of disorderly conduct dismissed. During an investigation on July 14, 2023 in Hanoverton, Flenory was told multiple times to stop yelling and also caused a disturbance while being booked at the county jail.
Christopher Ramirez, 20, Broad Street, East Liverpool, was fined $100 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 89 days suspended and credit for one day served, for criminal damaging. He was also ordered to pay restitution of $254 to the victim and complete 40 hours community service. Ramirez was accused of punching the side window of a vehicle nine times, causing damage on Oct. 19 in St. Clair Township.
A pretrial was set March 14 for Alyssa Sluter, 32, Sharp Avenue, Salem, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly hiding in a closet on Feb. 26 when Salem Police were looking for her to serve a warrant.
Nicolette Peronis, 27, Aliquippa, Pa., was fined $225 for assured clear distance and stopping after accident, amended from failure to stop after an accident. A charge of endangering children was dismissed. Peronis had her child in the vehicle on July 28 when she allegedly struck the rear of a parked vehicle in East Palestine, then struck it again and left the scene.
A pretrial was set March 7 for Kaley Brandle, 33, East State Street, Salem, charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer and two counts driving under suspension for allegedly fleeing from Lisbon police officers attempting a traffic stop on Feb. 26.
Jeremy Brown, 47, 18th Street, Wellsville, waived extradition from the state of Pennsylvania as a fugitive from justice for failure to appear in 2020 after being served with the warrant at the Columbiana County jail.
Emelin Yolanda Enriquezal Veraz, 27, Ontario, Calif., waived extradition as a fugitive from justice from the state of Kansas for failure to appear. She was taken into custody on Feb. 24 during a traffic stop in East Liverpool.
Michael Bruce, 28, Glenn Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 for littering. Bruce was accused of dumping multiple aluminum cans into an illegal dump on Foundry Hill Road in Washington Township.
Sentencing was set March 14 for Richard Guy, 64, Annesley Road, East Liverpool, who pleaded guilty to hit skip/leave scene for driving his vehicle into an unoccupied parked vehicle on Feb. 9 in the Walmart/Dollar Tree parking lot in St. Clair Township.
A pretrial was set March 11 for Jonathan Perez, 22, Youngstown, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a large bag for storage of dangerous drugs in his pants on Feb. 25 in Salem, where officers had been called for an alleged drug deal at a gas station. Perez was exiting the vehicle in question.
A pretrial was set May 21 for Dylon Henderson, 18, Campbell, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a bag used for storage of dangerous drugs in his pants during an investigation into an alleged drug deal in a gas station parking lot in Salem on Feb. 25.
Michael Bruce, 28, state Route 7, Rogers, was fined $2,730 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 150 days suspended, leaving 30 days to serve, for two counts OVI, open container, loud exhaust, no seat belt, failure to yield and four counts driving under suspension, His driver’s license was suspended for two years and he was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.
Tosca Kemp, 48, Market Street, East Palestine, was fined $1,000 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for physical control, amended from OVI, reasonable control and expired registration. Her driver’s license was suspended for one year and she was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.
Pretrials were set May 21 for Michael Kidder, 56, and Nancy Kidder, 63, both Etruria Street, East Liverpool, charged with two counts failure to pay city income tax and two counts failure to file city income tax returns allegedly for taxes in East Liverpool in 2019 and 2023.
A pretrial was set April 18 for Davante Jackson, 31, Cleveland, charged with no valid license and expired plates.
Aubrey Yeater, 50, Alliance, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.
Delores Gingerich, 50, state Route 164, Leetonia was fined $200 for a stopped school bus violation.
A pretrial was set May 23 for Gerard Beckhusen, 61, Beaver Falls, Pa., charged with speeding.
Justin Steele, 21, Newell, W.Va., was fined $180 for failure to display valid sticker and driving under suspension.
George Gunther Sr., 43, Warren, was fined $320 for driving under suspension, no license and two counts speeding.
Carly Sawders, 28, Somer Street, Leetonia, was fined $250 for stopped school bus.
Thomas Gough, 27, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 for unauthorized plate.
