LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, cases against Julie Carl-Picklesimer, 51, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, were bound over to the county grand jury for two counts of third-degree felony failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer and one count of fourth-degree felony vehicular assault.
Carl-Picklesimer allegedly fled from police attempting a traffic stop Feb. 2 in East Liverpool, failing to stop at six stop signs and traffic signals, traveling at a high rate of speed and striking a vehicle at the intersection of Walnut and St. Clair that had a juvenile inside, then proceeding towards Lisbon Street and wrecking.
Last fall, Carl-Picklesimer allegedly fled from an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper attempting a traffic stop in East Liverpool, failing to stop at a posted stop sign and reaching speeds of 57 mph in a 25 mph residential speed zone. When her passenger exited the vehicle at an intersection, she continued, causing the victim to fall to the street and then running over the victim’s legs twice with her right rear tire on Oct. 20, 2023.
For the Feb. 2 incident, she was also fined $250 for charges of reckless operation, stop sign violation and failure to control.
She was also fined $100 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, with credit for 10 days served, for disorderly conduct, amended from assault, for grabbing another woman and shoving her into a television, causing the television to fall and break on Oct. 15, 2023 in East Liverpool.
She was fined $200 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, with credit for 10 days served, for theft for walking out of Calcutta Walmart without paying for a television on Oct. 20, 2023 and loading the television into her vehicle.
A case against Regis Allgood, 33, Commerce Street, Wellsville, was bound over to the county grand jury for third-degree felony domestic violence and fourth-degree felony strangulation for allegedly throwing a woman up against the wall of a Wellsville residence and choking her on Jan. 24.
A preliminary hearing was set March 14 for Matthew Close, 51, Allen Road, Salem, charged with three counts of violation of a protection order, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly emailing a picture to a victim on Feb. 5 and then calling the victim and sending multiple text messages on Feb. 9 and Feb. 11.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set March 28 for Hayden Foster, 23, Warren, charged with fifth-degree felony improper handling of firearm in a motor vehicle and misdemeanors of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs third offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years and speeding. Foster allegedly possessed a pistol with a round in the chamber and a loaded magazine in the center console of his vehicle during a traffic stop on Feb. 3 in Salem Township.
Alvin Everson, 20, North Shady Lane, East Liverpool, was fined $400 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 120 days suspended and credit for 16 days served, leaving 44 days still to serve, for domestic violence and resisting arrest. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and have no contact with the victim. Everson was accused of shoving a woman down and refusing to return her keys and then threatening if anyone attempted to remove him from the apartment, he would hold a knife to her neck on Jan. 23 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Feb. 26 for Lawrence Cline, 29, Independence Square, Wellsville, charged with domestic violence for allegedly pushing a woman to the ground, getting on top of her and choking her on Nov. 7.
A pretrial was set May 6 for Maeggan Hawk, 48, state Route 45, Lisbon, charged with domestic violence for allegedly assaulting a man by climbing on top of him and punching and slapping him several times on Feb. 14 in Madison Township.
Zaine Husk, 25, Darner Road, Lisbon, was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 166 days suspended and credit for 14 days served, for domestic violence. He was ordered to serve 20 hours community service and have no contact with the female victim. Husk was accused of assaulting the woman during an incident Oct. 28 in East Liverpool.
Victor Munz, 50, U.S. Route 30, Lisbon, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended and credit for one day served, leaving nine days still to serve for domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Munz was accused of grabbing a woman by the arms and shoulder several times during a domestic disturbance on Feb. 2 in Center Township.
A pretrial was set April 4 for Zachary Householder, 21, McCormick Run Road, Salineville, charged with violation of a protection order for allegedly violating a protection order by driving past the protected woman’s residence several times and contacting her friend who was there on Feb. 11 in Salineville.
Scott Kreps, 53, Warren, waived extradition as a fugitive from justice from the state of Indiana for several drug charges after being in custody at the county jail on Feb. 15.
A pretrial was set Feb. 26 for Megan Reed, 36, Newell, W.Va., charged with possession of drug abuse instrument, falsification, obstructing official business and drug paraphernalia for allegedly giving a false name to East Liverpool police officers responding to an alleged shoplifter at Dollar General on Feb. 15. When police discovered the first name she gave belonged to a deceased person, she gave another name and officers discovered that name was also false. Reed also allegedly had a bag with her that contained a small cardboard box and inside the box, police found seven used syringes and two cut straws with an unknown residue inside
Anthony Chilton Jr., 24, Youngstown, was fined $545 and sentenced to 14 days in jail for obstructing official business, possession of drug instruments, drug paraphernalia and improper/expired registration. His driver’s license was suspended for one year. During a traffic stop in Salem on March 25, 2023, he possessed a digital scale and three syringes and lied about being injured to prevent going to jail. His driver’s license was suspended for one year.
Jamila Cameron, 26, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and ordered to spend three days in jail for theft for failing to pay for 15 items totaling $254 after switching the bar codes to an item priced 67 cents on Aug. 26, 2023.
A domestic violence charge was dismissed against Dominick Jezek, 18, East Third Street, Salem. Jezek was accused of pushing a person down during a domestic incident on Feb. 5 in Salem.
A pretrial was set Feb. 26 for Lailen Chappell, 18, North Cross Street, Columbiana, charged with two counts violation of a protection order for allegedly calling a person on Feb. 11 in Wellsville and sending text messages on Feb. 14.
A pretrial was set March 21 for Vanessa Schreffler, 46, Northside Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for 47 items totaling $319 at the Calcutta Walmart on Feb. 10.
A pretrial was set April 22 for David Kane, 38, West Ninth Street, East Liverpool, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a silver pipe typically used to smoke illegal narcotics after a traffic stop on Feb. 16 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set March 19 for Morgan Grant, 19, Anthony Drive, Wellsville, charged with speeding.
A pretrial was set May 14 for Steven Gilbert, 63, Irish Ridge Road, East Liverpool, charged with speeding.
A pretrial was set May 14 for Robert Lee Shields, 32, New Cumberland, W.Va., charged with driving under suspension.
Bryant Allen, 33, Lincoln Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set May 14 for Robert Moore III, 21, Cusick Road, Lisbon, charged with driving under suspension and speeding.
A pretrial was set April 15 for Sherry Strozza, 65, Enon Valley, Pa., charged with a stop sign violation.
Derrell Robbins, 52, Wintersville, was fined $150 for driving under suspension, with a seatbelt charge dismissed.
Kimberly Dennis, 57, East Taggart Street, East Palestine, was fined $150 for driving under suspension and speeding.
Ian Wellington, 49, Fife Coal Road, Wellsville, was fined $280 for driving under suspension and expired plate.
Mareena Killian, 27, Beaver Falls, Pa., was fined $50 for speeding.
