LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Jan. 25 for Donald Tanner Jones, 32, Ossining, N.Y., charged with third-degree felony compelling prostitution, fifth-degree felony possessing criminal tools and misdemeanor engaging in prostitution for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website of an adult female and a minor juvenile, arranging for sexual conduct with both females in exchange for $160 and arriving in East Palestine on Jan. 15 for the meeting with the cell phone used to make the arrangements.

Taylor Scott Snyder, 33, North Market Street, East Palestine, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 179 days suspended and credit for one day served, for domestic violence for attempting to harm a woman during a domestic on Dec. 17 in East Palestine. Additional charges of strangulation and domestic violence were dismissed,

A pretrial was set April 2 for Bryan Luckett, 54, Mantua, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent in exchange for $140 via his cell phone and arriving in Salem on April 19 for the meeting.

Darrelle Banks, 34, Newgarden Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for disorderly conduct, amended from engaging in prostitution. A charge of possessing criminal tools was dismissed. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour education course. Banks was accused of coming to Salem on Nov. 8, 2022 to meet an undercover agent after soliciting sexual conduct in exchange for $120.

Kristina Avis, 39, Jefferson Street, Salineville, was fined $300 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 90 day suspended, for theft and assault. Avis was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to have no contact with the victim. Avis failed to scan and pay for 19 items totaling $96 at the Calcutta Walmart on April 6 and on Jan. 4, 2023 she punched another woman in the face.

A pretrial was set March 4 for Thomas Christopher May, 38, state Route 154, Lisbon, charged with theft for allegedly failing to return a homemade car hauler trailer belonging to John W. Kelly on Dec. 31.

Douglas Brayshaw, 35, East Main Street, East Palestine, was fined $300 and sentenced to 75 days in jail, with credit for 12 days served, for violating a temporary protection order and obstructing official business and for violating his probation for a previous charge of obstructing official business. Brayshaw was accused of running from police and concealing himself in a basement when ordered by East Palestine officers to stop on Jan. 2. Brayshaw had post conviction no contact order against him for a person at the residence. The previous charge stemmed from an incident Nov. 2.

A pretrial was set Jan. 29 for Colby Carmichael, Riverview Street, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence for allegedly trying to hit a woman with a broomstick and threatening to hurt her on Jan. 12 in East Liverpool.

A pretrial was set Feb. 1 for Josiah Laughlin, 24, state Route 7, Rogers, charged with aggravated menacing for allegedly threatening another man with a long knife on Jan. 7 on Campbell Road, Hanoverton.

A pretrial was set March 28 for Sean Alvarez, 30, state Route 7, New Waterford, charged with having weapons while intoxicated for allegedly having a gun with one round in the chamber after he had been drinking at the Foundry in Salem on Jan. 13.

Robert Lee Butcher, 34, McKinnon Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and given a suspended 60-day jail term for theft. He was ordered to complete 30 hours community service and to have no contact with the Calcutta Walmart. Butcher was at the Calcutta Walmart on Dec. 17 when he removed his old boots, slipped his feet into new ones and placed his old ones back in the box and placed the box back on the shelf, failing to pay $64.86 for the pair of new boots.

A sentencing hearing was set Jan.. 30 for Sabrina St. George, 33, South Market Street, East Palestine, who pleaded no contest and was found guilty of theft for taking a woman’s purse from a cart at Family Dollar in East Palestine on Dec. 1.

Daniel Reed, 36, Charlton Drive, Lisbon, was fined $250 and sentenced to two days in jail, with credit for two days served, for criminal trespass for trespassing in a Perry Township apartment on April 11.

A pretrial was set April 23 for Stephanie Griffin, no date of birth listed, South Euclid, charged with multiple housing violations from 2022 in the city of Salem for a vacant property on West Wilson Street and one charge in 2023 for allegedly failing to keep the structure secured. The charges include failure to keep structure secure, removal of placard, nuisance, exterior door locks violation, inadequate sanitation, hazardous or unsanitary yard area, faulty weather protection, unfit dwelling, window violation and failure to pay monitoring fee for vacant structure.

Katherine Smith, 54, East Martin Street, East Palestine, was fined $250 for discarding litter for dumping several bags of residential waste in the recycling bins located in East Palestine. A concerned citizen had pointed out the trash in the recycling bins and upon investigation, mail with Smith’s address was found and she admitted to dumping the trash in the recycling when contacted by police.

Rebecca Cunningham, 63, Maplewood Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $500 each for three counts of failure to file city income tax return, with all of the fine suspended on the condition that the defendant comply with a payment plan and file all future returns when due. Cunningham was accused for failing file city income tax returns in East Liverpool for tax years 2019 through 2022.

A sentencing hearing was set Feb. 1 for Scott Groves, 42, Broadway Avenue, Wellsville, who pleaded no contest and was found guilty of domestic violence, criminal damaging and resisting arrest for maneuvering his arm away from a police officer trying to take him to a cruiser during an investigation Jan. 13 in Wellsville when he was accused of damaging several items, including a television, and beating up a woman.

Steven Davis, 48, West Washington Street, Lisbon, was fined $250 and given a suspended 180-day jail term for assault. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service. Davis struck a man in the face on June 28, 2021 in Lisbon.

A pretrial was set March 18 for Dustin Andrews, 25, state Route 170, East Palestine, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Aug. 23 in St. Clair Township. He was a passenger in the stopped vehicle.

A pretrial was set April 8 for Shane Knepper, 53, Ohio Avenue, Salem, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a clear baggy of white crystal in his jacket during a traffic stop on Jan. 13 in Salem. He was a passenger in the stopped vehicle.

Nicholas Ponamar, 22, Beaver Creek Road, Salem, was fined $920 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to yield. His driver’s license was suspended for one year and she was permitted to buy out 10 hours community service for $100.

Hope Steed, 25, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $920 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for OVI and speeding. Her driver’s license was suspended for one year and she was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.

Justin Lee Randolph, 30, Desellem Road, Lisbon, was fined $920 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for OVI and speeding. His driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted, and he was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.

A pretrial was set April 2 for David Allen Mayle, 51, Lumen Road NW, Minerva, charged with OVI first offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years and open container.

A pretrial was set March 12 for Jeremy Blanchard, 33, Midland, Pa., charged with OVI first offense, furnish false info, no valid license and marked lanes.

A pretrial was set April 15 for Rebecca McComas, 51, Glasgow Road, Lisbon, charged with driving under suspension.

Ruth Fernandez, 24, Youngtown, was fined $180 for driving under suspension and a headlights violation.

Reginald Ellis, 33, East Fifth Street, Salem, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.

Thiery Morrison, 25, Woodale Drive, Lisbon, was fined $200 for driving under suspension and a stop sign violation.

William Cunning, 46, Leake Street, East Palestine, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.

Alejandro Fred, 36, Youngstown, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set Feb. 22 for Samuel Holshue, 21, Pleasant View Drive, Lisbon, charged with driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set March 18 for William McCallister, 49, Somer Street, Leetonia, charged with driving under suspension and marked lanes.

A pretrial was set April 11 for Shannon Thrasher, 37, Blakely Street, East Liverpool, charged with use of unauthorized plate.

Aaron Laney, 49, Newgarden Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 for lighted lights, amended from driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set March 14 for Mary Ibbs, 34, state Route 154, Lisbon, charged with physical control and driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set March 19 for Michael Heverly, 38, Depot Road, Salem, charged with driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set April 16 for Trisha Rogers, 47, Devonshire Drive, Salem, charged with speeding and a stop sign violation.

Jayvon Howell, 52, Hanna Drive, Hanoverton, was fined $100 for an equipment violation, amended from driving under suspension.
