LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set Jan. 18 for Amy Wilson, 44, Niles, charged with fifth-degree felony escape for allegedly failing to return to East Liverpool Municipal Court after being granted temporary leave to be treated at East Liverpool City Hospital after claiming a medical emergency during an appearance for a warrant in court on Sept. 15, 2020.
A preliminary hearing was set March 14 for Richard Rice Jr., 51, South 12th Street, Sebring, charged with fourth-degree felony receiving stolen property for allegedly being caught with a stolen vehicle during a traffic stop on Jan. 9 in Knox Township after being unable to produce the registration.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Jan. 18 for David Crowe, 39, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with third-degree felony tampering with evidence and misdemeanor obstructing official business for allegedly during a traffic stop on Jan. 8 in East Liverpool giving police a false social security number and name and then attempting to alter, destroy or conceal evidence that had been found on him. The evidence was described as a small circular container.
A pretrial was set Jan. 18 for Samantha Gallimore, 34, Pancake Clarkson Road, Rogers, charged with falsification for allegedly giving police a false name during a traffic stop on Jan. 8 in St. Clair Township when there was an active warrant for her arrest.
Casey Cline, 48, Mahoning Avenue, Alliance, was fined $800 and sentenced to 45 days in jail, with credit for 18 days already served, leaving 27 days to serve in jail for obstructing official business and three counts of theft from three separate cases. Cline stole two packages off of a porch on South Mahoning Avenue, Alliance on June 20 and then denying his involvement when police located his vehicle and confronted him. Video surveillance showed his vehicle and a male wearing an ankle monitor on his right ankle. Cline was found wearing an ankle monitor on his right ankle. Cline also stole chipper shredder from Tractor Supply in Salem on July 4 and a generator from True Value in Salem on June 23.
A pretrial was set April 11 for Ashley Buckley, 39, Chester, W.Va., charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for 42 items for $189 at the self checkout at the Calcutta Walmart on Jan. 2.
Kayla Julian, 30, Franklin Avenue, Salem, was fined $350 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended, leaving three days to serve for theft. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to have no contact with Salem Walmart. Julian, who was an employee of Salem Walmart, scanned bar codes of different items on several occasions amounting to $203 and failing to pay for the items over a period of several months from March 16 to May 2 last year.
Kevin Easterday, 66, Montgomery Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 175 days suspended, leaving five days to serve, for assault. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to stay away from the victim and the Calcutta Walmart. Easterday punched a man in the Calcutta Walmart parking lot after claiming the man stuck his tongue out at him on Aug. 11, 2022.
A pretrial was set April 15 for Arthur Reynolds, 52, Camelot Drive, Columbiana, charged with possession of drugs for allegedly possessing buprenorphine without a prescription during a traffic stop on Nov. 26, 2022 in Columbiana.
Lawrence Nardini, 57, St. George Street, East Liverpool, was fined $100 for disorderly conduct, amended from possession of instrument to ingest, for possessing drug paraphernalia on June 29 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set April 18 for Joseph Pedro, 58, Maplewood Drive, Columbiana, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a crack pipe with burnt residue during a traffic stop on Jan. 5 in Columbiana.
A pretrial was set April 2 for Shannon Chamberlain, 48, East Perry Street, Salem, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs second offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years, driving under suspension and speeding.
Dustee Schwartz, 31, West State Street, Salem, was fined $1,145 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 85 days suspended, credit for two days served and credit for an additional three days served in a driver intervention program, for OVI, driving under suspension, reasonable control and failure to display valid sticker. Her driver’s license was suspended for one year and she was ordered to complete 40 hours community service. Charges of possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia were dismissed with a stipulation to probable cause and agreement to pay costs.
Justin Bell, 34, Ziegler Road, Hanoverton, was fined $720 and sentenced to seven days in jail for OVI, speeding and possession of marijuana. His driver’s license was suspended for two years.
A pretrial was set April 18 for Erik Taylor, 38, Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension.
John Shaffer Jr., 59, Lorain, was fined $150 for an equipment violation, amended from speeding.
A pretrial was set March 14 for Konner Rodriguez, 20, Campbell, charged with driving under suspension.
Devon Vanpelt, 24, Germantown Road, Columbiana, was fined $150 for speeding and lighted lights, amended from a turn signal violation.
A charge of traffic control devices was dismissed against Renee Knepper, 41, Canfield.
Curtis Hunt, 30, Northshady Lane, East Liverpool, $250 for lighted lights, amended from unauthorized plate, and traffic control device.
Lucas Trautmann, 18, Hudson, was fined $150 for lighted lights, amended from speeding.
