LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Jan. 8 for Matthew Shane Jackson, 23, Canton, charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony, and a misdemeanor of aggravated menacing for allegedly shooting out a woman's window at her house in Liverpool Township on Dec. 30 with a BB gun, becoming aggressive and threatening to punch her in the back of the head and kill her, and then taking out a torch lighter and attempting to set a 3-month-old child on fire, continuing to threaten the woman before running out the door. Bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim and child.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Jan. 11 for Tyler Michael Quimby, 26, Empire, charged with fourth-degree felony domestic violence and misdemeanors of criminal endangerment and violation of a protection order for allegedly choking a woman twice during a domestic on Jan. 1 in East Liverpool in front of four children. Bond was set at $75,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact by any means with the victim and the four children. The victim had a protection order against him at the time and when police arrived he wouldn't answer the door, with police making entry.
A preliminary hearing was set Feb. 26 for Beth Annie Williams, 55, Warren, charged with fourth-degree felony promote prostitution-transport across state lines for sex for hire for allegedly driving her cousin to Salem on Dec. 29 knowing she was going to engage in a sex for hire activity.
A preliminary hearing was set Jan. 8 for Donald Meadows-Graves, 34, Youngstown, charged with fifth-degree felony violation of a protection order for allegedly violating a protection order on June 4, 2020 in Leetonia by contacting a woman via telephone and social media when she was a protected person. He also contacted her from the county jail between May 19, 2020 and May 21, 2020.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Jan. 8 for Christopher Bowersock, 31, Camelot Drive, Columbiana, charged with third-degree felony tampering with evidence and theft for allegedly instructing another person to conceal a container of fentanyl in her pants during a traffic stop on Dec. 29 in Columbiana while there were warrants for his arrest. The theft charge stemmed from him allegedly stealing a 2-liter bottle of pop from the Save-A-Lot in Columbiana on Nov. 29.
A pretrial was set March 12 for Charles Payne II, 43, Park Boulevard West, East Liverpool, charged with assault and domestic violence for allegedly threatening to harm a woman during a domestic in East Liverpool on Dec. 30, then later allegedly pushing a 76-year-old victim aside in an aggressive manner during a disturbance at an East Palestine residence the same day.
A pretrial was set March 7 for Dallas Poling, 45, Butcher Road, Leetonia, charged with domestic violence for allegedly threatening to kill two women during a domestic on Dec. 31 at a Butcher Road, Leetonia address. His bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the two victims.
A pretrial was set April 1 for Kevin Lambert, 35, state Route 644, Hanoverton, charged with domestic violence for allegedly pushing a woman in the back, causing the right side of her head to hit a window, breaking the window on Dec. 29 at a state Route 644, Hanoverton property.
A pretrial was set Jan. 8 for Richard Woodward, 53, Wells Avenue, Wellsville, charged with domestic violence for allegedly grabbing a woman around the throat with his hands and attempting to choke her during an argument on Dec. 31 in Wellsville. Bond was set at $30,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim.
Sentencing was set Jan. 8 for Destinee Davis, 18, Independence Square, Wellsville, who pleaded guilty to domestic violence for an incident Jan. 1 in Wellsville when she threw tables at a juvenile and another victim, then pepper sprayed the juvenile and began to punch holes in the wall.
A pretrial was set Jan. 18 for Tara Talbert, 40, Warren, charged with possessing criminal tools and soliciting for allegedly posting an ad on a known prostitution website and offering sexual activity, arranging to meet an undercover agent for sexual activity in exchange for $230, then driving to Salem on Dec. 29 for the meeting with her phone, which was used to arrange the encounter.
A pretrial was set April 9 for Nate Hawley, 33, Columbus, charged with possessing criminal tools and soliciting for allegedly posting an ad on a known prostitution website offering sex for hire, arranging for sexual activity with an undercover officer in exchange for money and traveling to East Palestine on Dec. 31 for the meeting with his phone, which was used to arrange the encounter.
A pretrial was set March 11 for Michael Brooks Matheny, 54, Girard, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual conduct with an alleged female in exchange for $200 plus tip, then traveling on Dec. 31 to New Waterford for the meeting with his phone, which had been used to make the arrangements.
A pretrial was set March 12 for Wendi Bowersock, 47, College Street, East Liverpool, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly hindering an investigation after allegedly placing a container of fentanyl in her pants at the direction of another person who asked her to conceal the item during a traffic stop on Dec. 29 in Columbiana
A pretrial was set April 2 for Christopher Williams, 33, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, charged with obstructing official business and disorderly conduct for allegedly being found highly intoxicated in Salem on Dec. 31, yelling profanities and refusing to give his identification when police asked.
A pretrial was set March 18 for Braulio Gomez, 20, Lisbon Street, Columbiana, charged with underage consumption, disorderly conduct and failure to disclose one's personal information for allegedly being found damaging items on a porch in Columbiana on Dec. 24 while visibly impaired by alcohol and then failing to identify himself to police. He was refused at the county jail and brought to the Columbiana police station on a six-hour hold, then taken to a hospital due to his level of intoxication.
A pretrial was set Jan. 11 for Rebecca Burton, 45, West Fifth Street, East Liverpool, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly during a traffic stop on Dec. 29 in East Liverpool possessing a burnt pipe used to inhale a narcotic.
A charge of drug paraphernalia was dismissed against Brandi Hissom, 48, Haywood Street, East Liverpool, who had been charged after an incident Dec. 26 in East Liverpool when a burnt pipe was found in the vehicle she was driving.
A charge of drug paraphernalia was dismissed against Brittany Neely, 29, Haywood Street, East Liverpool, who had been charged after an incident Dec. 26 in East Liverpool when a red straw with unknown white powder inside was found near the passenger seat where she was sitting.
Brenda Hanlon, 59, Birch Road, East Liverpool, was fined $250 for litter for failing to dispose of a junk water heater on a paved walk next to an East Liverpool residence on Ravine Street on Sept. 13.
A pretrial was set Jan. 11 for Larry O. Foster, 68, Struthers, charged with no driver's license and drug paraphernalia for allegedly on Dec. 29 during a traffic stop in East Liverpool possessing a burnt pipe used to inhale a narcotic.
Andrew Spoto, 22, Bethel Park, Pa., was fined $150 for an equipment violation, amended from speeding.
Brittany McCullough-Teis, 31, South Lundy Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 for driving under suspension and failure to display valid sticker.
Matt Bowling, 28, Faulk Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $50 for dog at large for an incident Dec. 15 in Liverpool Township.
