LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against William Hillery Dorsey, 49, Toledo, was bound over to the county grand jury for a fourth-degree felony charge of promoting prostitution for allegedly transporting a woman to a sex for hire meeting in East Palestine on Nov. 1.
A preliminary hearing was set Dec. 28 for Kristal Keyes, 39, Clairbourne Street, East Liverpool, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly failing to listen to orders of U.S. Marshals executing an arrest warrant at a Y & O Road, East Liverpool residence on Dec. 20.
Mary Goehring, 51, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $3,000 with all of the fine suspended and was given a suspended 180-day jail term for three counts of prohibitions concerning companion animals. Four additional counts were dismissed. Goehring was accused of alleged cruelty to animals from Jan. 1 through Feb. 9 at a Thomas Drive, Wellsville property and attempting to conceal evidence during a search of the property to investigate the conditions. She was given a lifetime ban on having companion animals.
A pretrial was set March 26 for Enrique Mendoza, 22, Durham, N.C., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $120, driving to East Palestine on Dec. 15 for the meeting.
Charges of engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools were dismissed without prejudice against John Lilly, 69, Elkins, W.Va., due to the affidavit being missing for an incident Dec. 15 in East Palestine.
A pretrial was set Feb. 12 for Jade Waite, 24, West North Avenue, East Palestine, charged with domestic violence for allegedly striking a man with a broken toilet plunger numerous times, causing injury Dec. 19 in East Palestine.
Daniel Earich, 42, Fifth Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $400 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 120 days suspended and credit for 28 days served, leaving 32 days to serve in jail for two counts domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 30 hours community service. Earich was accused of grabbing one woman by the shirt near her neck and pushing another one over the back of a couch by her chest during a domestic Nov. 23 in Liverpool Township.
A pretrial was set March 4 for Kaelyn Duncan, 30, Columbus, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for 22 items totaling $138 at the Calcutta Walmart on Dec. 18.
Leeana Shaulis, 25, Florence, S.C., was fined $300 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 175 days suspended, leaving five days to serve in jail for theft. She was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and to pay $200 restitution to Gorby’s grocery. Shaulis was working at the store when she stole the money from the register on Oct. 28 in East Palestine.
A pretrial was set Dec. 28 for Mark Kireta, 55, Chester Avenue, Wellsville, charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching another man after an argument Dec. 19 in Wellsville.
Thomas Peterson, 59, Medina, was fined $400 and sentenced to nine days in jail, with credit for nine days served, for obstructing official business and resisting arrest for refusing to give his name to police and running from them after officers caught him going through a dumpster in the area of Reilly School on Sept. 24.
Justin Cathey, 32, Alliance, was fined $150 for prohibitions against violations of board orders for failing to abate a nuisance from a failing septic system at his property on Mahoning Avenue in Knox Township on July 19.
David Christy, 21, Campbell, was fined $250 and sentenced to nine days in jail, with credit for nine days served, for possession of drugs for possessing tramadol tablets on March 20 during a traffic stop in Lisbon.
A pretrial was set Jan. 8 for Edward Rodriguiez, 28, Midland, Pa., charged with theft for allegedly stealing 10 different items from different departments at the Calcutta Walmart, stuffing the items in a backpack and his pockets and leaving without paying on Dec. 5.
A pretrial was set March 28 for Clay Ramseyer, 23, Lake Milton, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense, OVI breath first offense and reasonable control.
Kathryn Desenze, 69, Depot Road, Salem, was fined $1,070 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in driver intervention program, for OVI, a tail lights violation and driving under suspension. Her driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted.
A pretrial was set March 28 for Loudon Vingle, 50, Steubenville Pike Road, Lisbon, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense and improper/expired registration.
Mark Triner, 53, Minerva Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for speeding.
A pretrial was set March 5 for Thomas Redman III, 41, Sprucevale Road, Rogers, charged with driving under suspension and use of unauthorized plate.
A pretrial was set March 28 for Nathaniel Byrd, 55, Youngstown, charged with two counts driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set March 26 for Bradley Allen Cox, 30, Evans City, Pa., charged with speeding.
Spencer Hulett, 36, state Route 344, Salem, was fined $150 for speeding.
