LISBON — An East Liverpool man accused of trafficking and possessing cocaine as a major drug offender was served Wednesday with a secret indictment for two first-degree felony counts.
James Keys Jr., 37, College Street, East Liverpool, was charged with trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine, each with two specifications for forfeiture of money in a drug case and a major drug offender specification.
According to the indictment issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury, Keys allegedly tried to sell and possessed an amount of cocaine exceeding 100 grams and possessed $7,065 and $250. The major drug offender specification noted the amount of cocaine was 200.65 grams.
Also served with secret indictments were:
— Christopher Brink, 43, Franklin Avenue, Salem, charged with third-degree felonies of aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs, both with specifications for forfeiture of money in a drug case, for allegedly preparing to sell and possessing methamphetamine in an amount equal or greater than bulk, but less than five times bulk and $68 on Jan. 13.
— Mark Cross II, 41, Butcher Road, Leetonia, charged with three counts of nonsupport of dependents, a fifth-degree felony, for failing to pay child support for three children from May 31, 2020 to May 29, 2022.
