LISBON — A Lisbon man accused of refusing to be handcuffed while in booking at the county jail, fighting with corrections officers and spitting on them on May 16, recently entered a guilty plea in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.

Brad Symanski, 44, Maple Street, entered the guilty plea to two counts of assault and three of harassment with a bodily substance, all fifth-degree felonies. He also entered a guilty plea to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle for an incident that led to his incarceration. He will be sentenced on Dec. 21

Also in Common Pleas Court:

— James Laughlin, 32, Dutchtown School Road, Rogers, entered a guilty plea to misdemeanor domestic violence for allegedly kicking a pregnant woman during an altercation at the Y-Inn Bar and Grill on state Route 7 in Rogers on Oct. 7. He will be sentenced on Dec. 12.

— Kevin Frazier, 42, May Road, East Liverpool, was sentenced to three years of community control for fifth-degree felony possession of cocaine and fifth-degree felony possession of a fentanyl-related compound.

— Robert W. Arnold, 50, Smithfield Street, East Liverpool, was sentenced to three years of community control for fifth-degree felony possession of cocaine.
