LISBON — An East Liverpool man accused of strangling a woman and putting a child at risk pleaded guilty recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.
Donovan Crytzer, 22, West Fourth Street, entered the guilty plea to fourth-degree felony strangulation and misdemeanors of domestic violence and endangering children for physically strangling a woman by placing his hand around her neck until she could not breath on July 9 in East Liverpool, all while a child was nearby screaming and crying during the alleged assault.
Sentencing was set for December 11.
Also in Common Pleas Court:
— Sarah Delpuppo, 46, whose last known address was listed as Westville Lake Road, Beloit, was sentenced to six months in prison after pleading guilty to attempted trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The prison term was ordered served at the same time as a sentence in Florida. Delpuppo was accused of trying to sell methamphetamine in the vicinity of a juvenile on Aug. 1, 2019. On July 4, 2019, she was accused of possessing methamphetamine while under the influence.
— Charles Wellman, 48, West Fourth Street, Salem, was sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 81 days suspended and credit for nine days served for a lesser-included offense of misdemeanor domestic violence instead of a felony for scratching a woman during a physical altercation over her cell phone on May 24 in Salem. He had a guilty plea previously.
