Grand Jury
LISBON – The following were served secret indictments out of the Columbiana County Grand Jury:
– Delores Lilly, 58, state Route 45, Lisbon, was served Aug. 29 in the Columbiana County Jail, charged with illegal conveyance of drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility, a third-degree felony, and possession of drugs, a misdemeanor, for allegedly being found in possession of Clonazopam at the Columbiana County Jail June 21, 2020.
– Kenneth G. Kleinknect, 50, Lisbon Road, Lisbon, was served Aug. 29 in Lisbon, charged with non-support of a dependent, a fourth-degree felony, for allegedly failing to provide support of a juvenile between March 2021 and March 2023.
– Denise M. Edmond, 44, Township Road 289, Salineville, was served Aug. 29 in Lisbon, charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing Oxycodone June 9, 2022.
– Donna M. Jarvis, 31, Maple Hill Road, Salineville, was served Aug. 30 in Lisbon, charged with endangering children, a third-degree felony, and a misdemeanor count of endangering children for allegedly putting children in danger during an incident Nov. 6, 2022.
– John M. Plavka, 51, Kevin Drive, Alliance, was served Aug. 30 in Noble County, charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine Dec. 5, 2022.
– Richard B. Pettinger, 55, Louisville, Ohio, was served Sept. 2 in the Columbiana County Jail, charged with aggravated trafficking of drugs, a second-degree felony; and aggravated possession of drugs, a second-degree felony, for allegedly possession a bulk amount of methamphetamine April 24, 2021.
– Brandon R. Moore, 20, Avondale Street, East Liverpool, was served Sept. 3 in the Columbiana County Jail, charged with burglary, a third-degree felony, and misdemeanor theft for allegedly entering a home May 1 and removing items without permission.
– Brandon R. Moore, 20, Annsley Road, East Liverpool, was served Sept. 3 in the Columbiana County Jail, charged with breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools, both fifth-degree felonies, for allegedly being found inside a home with a flashlight without permission May 4.
– Jamie Pastore, 36, Lisa Lane, Lisbon, was served Sept. 4 in the Columbiana County Jail, charged with possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony, with two specifications for forfeiture of money in a drug case for allegedly possessing a fentanyl-related compound Feb. 1, 2022 with $475 and $113 in U.S. currency generated from the sale of the compound.

LISBON — A Youngstown man, who was sentenced to nine months in prison after pleading to fourth-degree felony attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor in April, was denied judicial release by Columbiana County Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Washam recently. Samson Anderson, 37, also pleaded guilty to fifth-degree felony importuning and fourth-degree felony attempted compelling prostitution and was deemed a Tier II sex offender required to register his address with the sheriff’s office of the county where he resides after his release from prison. Anderson used his cell phone June 1-June 2, 2022 to solicit sexual acts from an undercover police officer posing as a 15-year-old female and 45-year-old female and traveling to East Palestine for the encounter on June 2, 2022.
Also in common pleas court:
— Dominique L. Smith, 24, Warren, was sentenced to seven month in prison for obstructing official business, a fifth-degree felony. Smith obstructed official business Feb. 28 that created a risk of physical harm to a sheriff’s deputy.
– Jolynn N. Varrati, 43, Pugh Road, East Liverpool, was sentenced to seven days in jail for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, after violating her terms of invetervention.
– John S. Heister, 64, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, was sentenced to three years community control for theft, a fifth-degree felony, for taking a dump trailer without permission Oct. 25, 2021.
– Skyler J. Stinard, 23, Hazel Street, Leetonia, pled guilty to assault, a fourth-degree felony, and a misdemeanor count of aggravated menacing for harming someone performing an emergency service Sept. 11, 2022. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Nov. 2. Stinard faces up to 18 months in prison, 180 days in jail and a $5,000 fine.
– Jeffrey D. Meredith, 30, Wood Street, Wellsville, pled guilty to possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sept. 28.
