LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, an East Liverpool man was sentenced for charges stemming from an incident caught on video. Tyler Quimby, 26, St. George St., was fined $300 and sentenced to 180 days in jail with credit for two days served and 178 suspended, ordered to have no contact with the victim and to perform 30 hours of community service for domestic violence and criminal trespass. Quimby was videotaped striking the victim in the face and head and throwing her to the ground by her hair on Aug. 24 in East Liverpool. Quimby also climbed through the window of a residence in which he did not live.
A pretrial hearing was set Sept. 11 for Dewayne Toothman,42, E. Fourth St., East Liverpool, charged with assault. Toothman allegedly punched a 7-year-old boy in the face and struck his legs, leaving bruises and a black eye at Maplewood Ave. residence in East Liverpool around June 10. Toothman dates the boys’ mother and reportedly assaulted the boy because he was crying when his mother left the residence to run an errand. Toothman was fined in another case. He was fined $200 for driving under suspension and speed.
Charles Gough, 24, W. Washington St., Lisbon, was fined $250 and sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for three days served for obstructing official business, amended from assault. Gough allegedly threw a man into a car and struck him multiple times, leaving visible injuries on the victim in Center Township on May 2. Gough was also ordered to have no contact with the victim and another individual, placed on two years probation, to undergo anger management and perform 50 hours of community service.
A pretrial hearing was set Nov. 20 for William Michaels, 34, Depot Rd., Lisbon, charged with obstructing official business and disorderly conduct while intoxicated. Michaels allegedly was involved in an altercation on S. Broadway in Salem on Sept. 1. Witnesses reported Michaels harassing females inside of a bar and would not comply with directions as officers conducted the investigation.
A pretrial hearing was set Nov. 28 for Shelley Swigert, 49, Ashton Rd., East Liverpool, charged with obstructing official business. Swigert allegedly hid suspected narcotics in her clothing during a traffic stop on Dresden Ave. on Aug. 26.
A pretrial hearing was set Dec. 5 for Jeffrey Dills,47, Norton, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. Dills allegedly agreed to exchange $100 for sexual activity with an undercover agent and traveled to Salem to do so on Aug. 22.
A pretrial hearing was set Nov. 30 for Kristen Pallozzi, 34, Lowellville, charged with OVI and traffic control devices.
A pretrial was set Oct. 17 for Steve Johnson, 62 Homewood Dr., Salem, OVI.
Jonathan McDevitt-Betz, 34, Sprouse Rd., Wellsville, was fined $100 for open container.
Danny Shultz, 56, Cliff Sr., Salem, was fined $895 and sentenced to 180 days with 145 suspended and credit for 13 served for OVI third offense and reasonable control. He was also ordered to perform 60 hours of community service and be placed on two years of probation. His license was suspended for three years.
A pretrial was set Dec. 12 Eric Slagle, 32, Berry Dr., Kensington, charged with driving under suspension and improper turn.
Douglas English, 49, Forest Lawn Lane, Columbiana was fined $2,200 and 180 days in jail with credit for three days served and 170 suspended for OVI, driving under suspension and parking on the highway and open container. His license was suspended for one year and he was ordered to serve 20 hours of community service and complete a substance abuse program.
Corey Cantwell, 24, E. Sixth St., Salem, $200 and 10 days in jail for obstruction. Cantwell gave police a false name during an indecent exposure investigation on Third St. in Salem on Aug. 31.
A pretrial hearing was set Dec. 7 for Gary Weber, 53, Cherry St., Salem, charged with OVI and reasonable control.
A pretrial hearing was set Dec. 11 for Courtney Davis, 64, Niles, charged with OVI and no turn signal.
A pretrial hearing was set Oct. 31 for Scott McKinney, 51, Lundy Ave., Salem, charged with OVI, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, and right of way.
Rosie Faulkner, 36, Main St., East Palestine, was fined $50 for disorderly conduct. Faulkner was arrested at a residence in the village where Faukner was arguing with the occupants. Faulkner was warned once and arrested when police were called to the home on W. Main St. for a second time on Aug.19.
A pretrial hearing was set Dec. 12 for Charles Noel, Glenn St., East Liverpool, charged with drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and turn signal. Noel allegedly was found to be in possession of plastic straw with white residue during a traffic stop and subsequent search in St. Clair Township on Aug. 20.
A pretrial was set Dec. 7 for William Bell, 50, Steubenville, charged with driving under suspension and marked lanes.
A pretrial was set Dec. 5 for Michael Dunlap, 35, East Rochester, charged with unsafe vechile, loud exhaust and no seatbelt.

A pretrial was set Sept. 5 for Shane S. Williamson, 46, Woodvine Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension, violation of a temporary protection order and theft. He allegedly sent multiple Facebook and text messages to the victim in violation of a protection order April 18, 2022, and stole $358.66 worth of merchandise from a Bradshaw Avenue, East Liverpool, business Aug. 15.
A pretrial was set Sept. 7 for Christopher Dontrae Craft, 30, Mill Street, Rogers, charged with domestic violence for allegedly slapping a family member in the face and shoving her, holding her to ground, Aug. 30.
A pretrial was set Sept. 11 for George S. Feezle III, 48, High Street, Washingtonville, charged with domestic violence and assault for allegedly causing physical harm and threatening further violence toward the victim May 22 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Oct. 3 for Brenda Kay Frye, 57, Riley Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly stealing several items from a Lisbon business June 8.
A pretrial was set Nov. 14 for James P. Taus, North Lundy Avenue, Salem, charged with 14 counts of substandard premises, four counts of failure to register a vacant structure, four counts of failure to pay vacant structure monitoring fee and two counts of a window violation on four properties in Salem.
A pretrial was set Nov. 30 for Dylan L. Milhoan, 22, Calcutta Smith Ferry Road, East Liverpool, charged with two counts of driving under suspension and speed.
A pretrial was set Dec. 11 for Pamela Lynn Martin, 56, Myers Road, Kensington, charged with telecommunications harassment for allegedly sending multiple text messages including threats of violence toward the victim May 20.
A pretrial was set Dec. 11 for Joshua Metts, 37, state Route 154, Lisbon, charged with two counts of cruelty to animals and one count of prohibitions concerning companion animals for allegedly failing to care for several animals at his home July 1 through Aug. 4.

Tonya L. Bebout, 47, Mingo Junction, was sentenced to 90 days in jail (89 suspended, one credited), fined $400, placed on one year probation and ordered to complete 30 hours community service for driving under suspension and obstructing official business.
Leanna M .Howell, 35, East Main Street, Salineville, was sentenced to 183 days in jail (180 suspended, three credited) and fined $400 for theft and leaving the scene of an accident, with a charge of possession of criminal tools dismissed.
Zackery Michael Young, 23, Garner Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for no driver’s license and speed.
Frank Roger Marra, 39, Newton Falls, was fined $500 for engaging in prostitution.
Richard W. Atkins, 46, Duke Vodrey Road, East Liverpool, was fined $500 for refuse disposal prohibition.
Tara Lynn Montgomery, 23, Toronto, was fined $500 and had her license suspended for one year for five counts of speed in a 70 mph zone.
Casey J. Smith, 41, Toronto, was fined $280 for no turn signal and drug paraphernalia.
Brian W. Specht, 34, Ertruia Street, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 60 days in jail (14 credited) and fined $300 for endangering children.
John K. Douglas III, 28, Monroe Street, Salem, was sentenced to 30 days in jail (19 suspended, 11 credited), fined $150, placed on year probation and ordered to complete 20 hours community service and general mental health and anger management assessments for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence.
Caleb M. Walker, 22, Harvey Avenue, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 90 days in jail (87 suspended, three credited), fined $915, had his license suspended one year, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service and alcohol and substance abuse treatment for traffic control devices and physical control amended from OVI.
Luis Antonio Arena, 42, Youngstown, was sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $750, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service and an online anti-prostitution class for engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools.
Emily Brotherton, 30, Van Buren Avenue, Salem, was sentenced to 180 days in jail (155 suspended), fined $1,500, had her license suspended for two years, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 20 hours community service and substance abuse treatment for OVI second offense, OVI second offense breath .17 grams, failure to stop after an accident, assured clear distance ahead and speed.
Jerry L. Taylor, 65, Lisbon Road, Leetonia, was fined $195 for driving under suspension and speed.
A charge of wrongful entrustment was dismissed against Lisa A. Clark, 64, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon.

LISBON — Recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court, an East Liverpool man was sentenced to 111 days behind bars for charges from 2016 after a violation of probation terminated community control. Ronald M. Melott, 44, Lacroft Avenue, East Liverpool, pled guily t to OVI and third-degree felony fleeing from police. As part of a previous plea deal, charges of assault and driving under suspension were dismissed by the prosecutor’s office.
In other court news:
— Aaron Francis recently entered a change of plea to guilty on one count of fourth-degree felony domestic violence. Charges stem from July 4, 2022 when Francis attempted to harm a person, with two prior convictions for domestic violence on his record. A sentencing hearing is set for Nov. 2. Francis also entered pleas in another case, pleading guilty to possession of cocaine and aggravated possession of drugs, both fifth-degree felonies.
— John H. Quinn, 60, whose last known address was Salem Unity Road, Salem, was sentenced to three years community control and 90 days in jail with credit for 15 served for first-degree felonies of failure to verify address and failure to provide notice of change of address, both related to Quinn allegedly failing to report his address on May 9, 2022 as required of a convicted sex offender.
— Ronnie Delguzzo, 28, Purinton Avenue, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 12 months in the Eastern Ohio Correction Center for aggravated possession of drugs and possession of LSD, both fifth-degree felonies, each with a specification for forfeiture of money in a drug case, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine, LSD and $452 on March 10, 2021. Delguzzo was originally placed on Intervention in Lieu of Conviction but was dishonorably terminated from the program.
— Aydn Hillier, 18, New England Square, New Waterford, was sentenced to two-years on Intervention in Lieu of Conviction for felony-four burglary for breaking into a vacant residence and being found inside on South Market Street in East Palestine on Jan. 22 after it was discovered barricaded from the inside with a back door open.
— Allysin Grimm, 23, Vine Street, Salem, was sentenced 18 months Intervention in Lieu of Conviction to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for possessing methamphetamine on May 14, 2022.
— Jasmine Coles, 25, Chester Avenue, Wellsville was sentenced to two years of Intervention in Lieu of Conviction possession of cocaine and possession of fentanyl-related compound, both fifth-degree felonies.
— Lawrence P. Norton, 56, Rochester Road, East Rochester, was sentenced to 70 days in jail for violating a protection order, a fifth-degree felony, on June 12, when he had previously been convicted of violating an order on Sept. 10, 2008.
