Grand Jury
LISBON -- A Hanoverton man was served Wednesday with secret indictments for two separate cases, one involving drugs and one dealing with child support.
Michael J. Spencer, 35, Haessly Road, was charged by the Columbiana County Grand Jury with third-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs and fifth-degree felonies of identity fraud, possession of fentanyl-related compound and two counts nonsupport of dependents.
The drug and identify fraud charges stem from Feb. 25 when he allegedly used personal identifying information of another man and possessed fentanyl-related compound and methamphetamine. The nonsupport counts stem from his alleged failure to pay child support for two children from July 4, 2021 to July 2, 2023.

LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Curtis Gearhart, 39, South Lincoln Avenue, Lisbon, was bound over to the county grand jury for third-degree felony intimidation and misdemeanor charges of aggravated menacing and obstructing official business.
Gearhart allegedly threatened Perry Township police officers during a traffic stop on Sept. 5, calling them pigs and making them believe he wanted to harm their families. He also kept acting belligerent and ripped his minor misdemeanor citation in half. A pretrial was set Dec. 7 for Gearhart for an open container charge.
A case against Robert Malecki, 57, Orwell, was bound over to the county grand jury for a fifth-degree felony possession of drugs charge and misdemeanors of engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools and drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing 2.90 grams of methamphetamine after arriving on March 16 in East Palestine for an alleged arranged sexual encounter. He had responded to an undercover ad on a known escort website and set up the meeting for sexual activity in exchange for $200.
Quentin Harrison, 41, Waynesburg, Pa., was fined $750 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour education course. Harrison was accused of responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $60, arriving in East Palestine on June 6 for the meeting.
Adam Moore, 46, Hurricane, W.Va., was fined $750 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for possessing criminal tools and disorderly conduct, amended from engaging in prostitution, for arranging for sexual conduct in exchange for $180 from an undercover agent and driving to Salem on June 8 for the meeting. He was ordered to forfeit $180 to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force and permitted to buy out 40 hours of community service for $400. He was also ordered to complete a 12-hour online prostitution prevention course.
A pretrial was set Dec. 18 for Dustin Wells, 31, Riffle Road, Lisbon, charged with fleeing and eluding a police officer and endangering children while operating a vehicle for allegedly fleeing through an active school zone from Lisbon police officers attempting a traffic stop near McKinley School on Sept. 12, while a child was in the vehicle with him.
A pretrial was set Dec. 4 for Lindsay Fraas, 33, state Route 9, Hanoverton, charged with telecommunications harassment for allegedly calling a man 85 times on Aug. 18 after being told to stop contacting him.
A pretrial was set Dec. 14 for Heidi Gorby, 47, South Market Street, East Palestine, charged with telecommunications harassment for allegedly sending six text messages to a man on Aug. 30 after being told previously to stop contacting him and his wife.
Andrea Leasure, 54, Goshen Road, Salem, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 178 days suspended, and credit for two days served, for domestic violence for striking her husband in the back numerous times in front of police during an incident July 4 in Columbiana.
Howard Leasure Jr., 50, Goshen Road, Salem, was fined $150 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 88 days suspended and credit for two days served, for obstructing official business. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service. Leasure was intoxicated and failed to cooperate with police in Columbiana on July 4.
Timothy Peterson, 55, Unity Line Road, New Waterford, was fined $250 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 28 days suspended and credit for two days served in jail, for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service. Peterson was accused of grabbing another man by the throat during a domestic in New Waterford on June 17.
Herbert Jones, 46, Continental Drive, Salem, was fined $150 and sentenced to four days in jail, with credit for four days served, for domestic violence. Jones was accused of sending a threatening message to a woman on Aug. 20 in Salem.
A pretrial was set Nov. 6 for Alan James, 46, Old Irondale Road, Irondale, charged with violation of a protection order and telecommunications harassment for allegedly walking into a location in Wellsville on May 26 and not leaving when a woman was there who has a protection order against him. The telecommunications charge stemmed from him allegedly continuing to send text messages to a victim April 25 after being told to stop, also in Wellsville.
A pretrial was set Sept. 25 for Danielle Deal, 39, Creek Road, New Waterford, charged with assault and aggravated trespass for allegedly breaking into a man's house in Negley on Sept. 13 and biting him on the chest.
Asheshbhai Patel, 22, Meadowood Drive, Salem, was fined $500 for permitting underage consumption for selling alcohol to underage persons at Suburban Market on Newgarden Avenue, Salem on Sept. 4.
A pretrial was set Nov. 27 for Levi Vollnogle, 28, West Martin Street, East Palestine, charged with violating a protection order by allegedly texting a woman over and over for no reason on Sept. 9 in Leetonia.
A pretrial was set Sept. 18 for Andrea Gibson, 45, Rochester Road, East Rochester, charged with menacing and criminal trespass for allegedly trespassing at a West Township property and threatening to kill a man and shoot him on Sept. 12.
A pretrial was set Dec. 19 for Christian Hall, 27, South Union Avenue, Salem, charged with theft for allegedly stealing a bottle of liquor from Gene's Drive Thru in Salem on Sept. 12.
A pretrial was set Dec. 21 for Leeana Shaulis, 25, East Martin Street, East Palestine, charged with theft for allegedly stealing $200 from the cash register while working at Gorby's Grocery in East Palestine on Oct. 28, 2022.
A pretrial was set Oct. 2 for Jamila Cameron, 26, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with theft and possessing criminal tools for allegedly switching tags on items and attempting to steal 38 items totaling $491 from the Calcutta Walmart on Sept. 6.
A telecommunications charge was dismissed against Malcolm Salyers, 38, Spillway Road, Lisbon, at the request of the victim. The charge stemmed from incidents in March involving numerous harassing text messages.
A pretrial was set Dec. 19 for Staci Shaw, 36, Riley Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with five counts of failure to file city income tax return for allegedly failing to file tax returns in the city of East Liverpool for tax years 2018 through 2022.
Kaila DiMaggio, 26, Bradshaw Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and given a suspended 180-day jail term for theft. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to stay out of Calcutta Walmart. DiMaggio was accused of stealing $369 worth of items from the Calcutta Walmart on Nov. 30, 2022.
Nicole Chestnut, 29, Park Avenue, East Palestine, was fined $350 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for theft. She was permitted to buy out 40 hours community service for $400. Chestnut attempted to take $191 worth of items out of Salem Walmart without paying on April 6.
Charges of criminal damaging and criminal trespass were dismissed against Austin Angeli, 35, Cedar Ridge Drive, Salem. He had been charged for an incident June 17 on South Egypt Road, Salem Township.
Adam Pondillo, 41, Austintown, was fined $200 for drug paraphernalia for possessing a baggie with crystal-like residue during a traffic stop March 27 in Columbiana.
David Vanhorn, 35, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $200 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 28 days suspended and credit for two days served, for criminal trespass, amended from disorderly conduct. Vanhorn was accused of being argumentative and refusing to leave a property after police told him to leave on June 22.
Sara Ricciardulli, 73, Lakeshore Court, Columbiana, was fined $375 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for physical control, amended from operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. A marked lanes charge was dismissed. Her driver's license was suspended for four months
Shane Reed, 35, Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $1,050 for disorderly conduct, two counts of expired license, reasonable control, illegal operation of a dealer vehicle, turn signal, parental responsibility, two counts driving under suspension and no license. The disorderly charge stemmed from Reed causing a disturbance at Giant Eagle in East Liverpool on June 4. A sentencing hearing was set Oct. 2 for charges of domestic violence and obstructing official business for an alleged domestic incident on Sept. 12 in East Liverpool when he ran away from officers and had to be tased.
Charges of driving under suspension and expired plate were dismissed against Tyrone Davis, 50, Eighth Street, Wellsville, for being incorrectly cited, according to court documents.
A pretrial was set Dec. 14 for Wilbert Faulk, 64, Youngstown, charged with discarding litter for allegedly dumping trash and debris on Baum Street in East Liverpool on Aug. 22.
A pretrial was set Oct. 17 for Stephanie Igo, 34, West Clark Street, East Palestine, charged with possession of drug abuse instrument for allegedly possessing a concealed hypodermic syringe in East Palestine on Sept. 13.
A pretrial was set Sept. 21 for Christopher Graham, 47, Broadway Avenue, Wellsville, charged with speeding.
Paul Smith, 60, Case Road, Beloit, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
Charles Taylor Jr., 37, Youngstown, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
Tiffany Herron, 39, state Route 45, Lisbon, was fined $350 for two counts of driving under suspension.
Brittany Ruf, 30, West Main Street, New Waterford, was fined $185 for driving under suspension and speeding.
Nathanyel White, 20, Niles, was fined $125 for driving under suspension and traffic control devices.
