LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Oct. 19 for Jerry Lee Womack, 39, Youngstown, charged with third-degree felony possession of drugs, and misdemeanors of engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools and drug paraphernalia. On June 17 in East Palestine, he allegedly possessed 12.97 grams of methamphetamine after arriving for a meeting he had arranged for sex acts with a female in exchange for methamphetamine. He had responded to an undercover ad posted on a known prostitution website. The female was actually a police officer posing as a female online.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Oct. 26 for Jarrod Westover, 23, Continental Drive, Salem, charged with fifth-degree felony possession of drugs and misdemeanor illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and a glass meth pipe, small baggie with residue, butane torches and a digital scale with residue on April 12 in Columbiana and allegedly possessed a small baggy with a crystal-like substance inside in Salem on Sept. 10.
A disposition hearing was set Sept. 19 for John Paul Peuterbaugh, 49, Miller Street, Kensington, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly answering an undercover ad and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $80 and arriving in Salem on Nov. 11 for the meeting.
Sentencing was set Sept. 26 for Jason Brinsey, 37, Austintown, after pleading guilty to engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad posted on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange of $80, then driving to East Palestine on Aug. 23 for the meeting.
Gordan Appel, 27, Fife Coal Road, Wellsville, waived extradition as a fugitive from justice in Pennsylvania for a probation violation.
Michael Zema, 47, Akron, was fined $150 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Zema was accused of pushing a woman until she fell on steps going into her bedroom on Sept. 18, 2022 in Wellsville.
A pretrial was set Sept. 25 for Amanda Marie Willis, 33, St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence for allegedly assaulting her child with a broom after taking it out of her hands on Sept. 11 in St. Clair Township. She allegedly told police she shoved the child because she gets irritated by her.
Paul Schrum, 82, Berlin Center, was fined $300 for possessing criminal tools, with a charge of engaging in prostitution dismissed. Schrum was accused of soliciting sexual activity in exchange for $180 from an undercover Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent and arriving in Salem with his cell phone for the meeting Sept. 8, 2022.
A pretrial was set Dec. 18 for Matthew Close, 51, Allen Road, Salem, charged with open container, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs breath first offense and reasonable control.
Erik Taylor, 37, Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $950 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for OVI and reasonable control. His driver's license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service. Taylor was also fined $150 for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence, for a domestic disturbance March 16 in East Liverpool when he threatened a woman.
Savanna McKee, 27, North 15th Street, Sebring, was fined $200 for driving under suspension and possessing drug paraphernalia related to a marijuana pipe during a traffic stop in Salem on July 10.
Eric Jordan, 44, East Pidgeon Road, Salem, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set Nov. 21 for Megan Stofen, 29, Cleveland Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with possession of drug abuse instrument for allegedly possessing a hypodermic needle and a baggy of white powder/crystal during a traffic stop on Sept. 5 in St. Clair Township.
A court trial was set Oct. 17 for Courtney Fish, 35, East Taggart Street, East Palestine, charged with criminal trespass for an incident Jan. 4 in East Palestine when she was found in a parking lot attempting to enter vehicles and appeared to be under the influence.
Jamie Pastore, 36, Lisa Lane, Lisbon, was fined $350 for driving under suspension, tail lights, no license and expired registration. He was also sentenced to eight days in jail, with credit for time served, for possessing drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments. The charges stemmed from an Oct. 11, 2021 traffic stop.
Richard Dieringer, 55, Hill Boulevard, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for an equipment violation, amended from a stop sign violation.
Bode Francis, 18, Berlin Center, was fined $100 for an equipment violation, amended from peeling tires.
A pretrial was set Dec. 12 for Kaden Howell, 19, Buck Road, Salem, charged with improper/expired registration.
Brandon Caskey, 25, Youngstown, was fined $45 for speeding, with a driving under suspension charge dismissed.
