LISBON — An East Palestine man was served a secret indictment from the Columbiana County Grand Jury charging him with a second-degree felony attempted arson, third-degree felony attempted arson, fifth-degree possessing criminal tools as well as misdemeanor endangering children and domestic violence. Joshua Gorby, 47, S. Market St., allegedly attempted to light a house on fire in which minor children and a woman were present on June 15. Gorby was found with a 5-gallon gas can and a lighter. Gorby is being held on a $100,000 cash bond or surety.

— Sara Noling, 34, East Taggart Street, East Palestine was served a secret indictment from the Columbiana County Grand Jury. She is being charged with felony-five breaking and entering and two counts of receiving stolen property – one a felony four and the other a felony five. Noling allegedly broke into the home of a man on June 5, and according to the indictment “did retain or dispose of” a bottle of viagra and a checkbook belonging to the man.
