LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Wayne Allen Brock, 59, Canton, was bound over to the county grand jury for third-degree felony compelling prostitution, fourth-degree felony attempted illegal sexual conduct with a minor, fifth-degree felony possessing criminal tools and misdemeanor engaging in prostitution. Brock allegedly responded to an ad on a known prostitution website of an adult female and a 15-year-old female, arranging to have sexual conduct with both females in exchange for $250 and arriving in East Palestine on July 17 for the meeting.

A case against Brenda Diamond, 57, Commerce Street, Wellsville, was bound over to the county grand jury for a fourth-degree felony counterfeiting charge for allegedly passing a counterfeit $100 bill at Peps Market in Wellsville on June 11.

A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Aug. 7 for Matthew Hormel, 40, East Martin Street, East Palestine, charged with third-degree felonies of possession of drugs and trafficking in drugs, and misdemeanors of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and marked lanes. Hormel allegedly possessed a digital scale, a methamphetamine pipe and three separate individual packages of suspected methamphetamine during a traffic stop on July 29 in East Palestine.

A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Aug. 7 for Timothy Lodge, 34, Summit Street, Salem, charged with third-degree felony failure to comply (fleeing/eluding), and misdemeanors of driving under suspension, no motorcycle endorsement, reasonable control and failure to display valid sticker. Lodge allegedly fled at a high rate of speed from an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper who initiated a traffic stop in Salem on July 9, with speeds reaching in excess of 100 mph on state Route 14 in a 35 mph zone. As the pursuit entered Mahoning County, the motorcycle the defendant was operating went left of center and struck a guardrail, with Lodge later found in a wooded area.

A pretrial was set Oct. 17 for Michael Paul Terrigan, 43, Canton, charged with engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools and possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent in exchange for $200, traveling to Salem on July 28 for the meeting.

Brian Batchelor, 55, Adams Road, East Palestine, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence, for assaulting a woman on Oct. 30, 2022 in East Palestine by pulling her hair, grabbing her by the collar, picking her up against the vehicle and then once inside the home threw her up against the wall.

A pretrial was set Aug. 7 for Noah Hinkle, 23, Academy Street, Salineville, charged with two counts of assault for allegedly striking two people during a physical altercation in Salineville on July 28.

Ronald Jennings Beaver, 37, Vernia Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 60 days in jail, with credit for 33 days served, leaving 27 days to serve in jail for violation of a protection order for entering a relative’s home in violation of a protection order on June 28. He was also ordered to serve an additional 10 days for violating his probation for a domestic violence charge from May.

A pretrial was set Oct. 31 for Corey Venables, 32, Massillon, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent in exchange for $200, traveling to Salem on July 28 for the meeting.

A pretrial was set Sept. 7 for Timothy Boggs, 30, Riley Road, New Waterford, charged with criminal trespass for allegedly trespassing inside a residence and property on Glenn Street, St. Clair Township, on July 29 after being told not to return.

A pretrial was set Oct. 30 for Shane Meade, 44, Ridge Street, Leetonia, charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly attempting to pull open a woman’s car door on Ridge Street in Leetonia on July 29, using offensive abusive language toward her and her car and shouting profanities through the neighborhood after being warned previously.

Brian Conto, 58, Leslie Road, Rogers, was ordered to pay costs and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 29 days suspended and credit for one day served, for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Conto grabbed the back of a recliner and pushed the recliner forward to force an elderly woman sitting in it to slide on the floor, causing injury on April 26 Leslie Road, Rogers.

A fourth-degree felony domestic violence charge against Robert A. Ross Jr., 34, Potters Lane, East Liverpool, was dismissed with prejudice by the prosecution. charged with fourth-degree felony domestic violence. Ross had been accused of causing or attempting to cause physical harm to a woman in March 2013 in East Liverpool. In October 2013, the case had been placed in an inactive file for lack of prosecution, but with a bench warrant still active, returning to the court docket in June 2023.

Cheyane Anderson, 29, Maple Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $300 and given a suspended 180-day jail term for theft. She was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and stay out of Columbiana County Walmarts. Anderson failed to scan and pay for 20 items valued at $88 at the Calcutta Walmart on Feb. 13.

Brandon Kessler, 40, Echo Dell Road, East Liverpool, was fined $200 for criminal trespass for trespassing at a property on state Route 45, Lisbon in Salem Township on March 10.

A probation violation hearing was set Aug. 7 for Jeffrey Mellott, 34, Prospect Street, Salem, for a 2021 charge of disorderly conduct.

Steven Williams, 42, Mount Vernon, previously Park Boulevard, East Liverpool, was fined $500 each for two counts of failure to pay city income tax and one count of failure to file city income tax return, but the fine was suspended on the condition that he comply with a payment plan with the city of East Liverpool. Williams failed to pay in 2020 and 2021 and failed to file a return in 2022.

A pretrial was set Oct. 17 for Regina Danver, 57, Harvey Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with several East Liverpool housing violations, including household screening, property maintenance requirements, litter, storage of furniture and storage of tires from June.

Jennifer Rodden, 31, West Middletown Road, Beloit, was fined $150 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for obstructing official business. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Rodden got out of a vehicle during a traffic stop and started screaming at officers on June 11, 2020 in Salem.

Brittany DeMarco, 33, East Chestnut Street, Lisbon, was fined $200 and sentenced to two days in jail, with credit for two days served, for possession of drug paraphernalia for possessing a small plastic bag with a white powdery substance during a traffic stop on Dec. 3, 2022 in Salem.

Lisa Ratliff, 39, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $485 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended, leaving three days to serve in jail, for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving under suspension, no seat belt, left of center and improper/expired registration. Her driver’s license was suspended for one year and she was ordered to complete 60 hours community service.

Thomas R. Newman, 34, Petersburg, was fined $1,075 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program for OVI and weapons while intoxicated, amended from a felony improper handling of firearm in a motor vehicle. A speeding charge was dismissed and his driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted. The gun was to be returned to the defendant.

Janelle Kim, 28, Berea, was fined $280 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program for reckless operation, amended from OVI, and no seat belt. Her driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted, and she was ordered to complete 40 hours community service, but may be buying it out.

Shawn Paulin Sr., 44, New Castle, Pa., was fined $300 for driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set Oct. 31 for Joseph Hill, 36, Hillcrest Drive, Hanoverton, charged with no motorcycle endorsement, reasonable control and improper/expired registration.

Lance Derrick, 35, Youngstown, was fined $140 for speeding and no license, amended from driving under suspension.

Bret Davis, 61, Ninth Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.

A pretrial was set Oct. 16 for William Visnic, 61, Weirton, W.Va., charged with speeding.

Tammy Palma, 60, Skyview Drive, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for speeding, with a charge of distracted driving dismissed.

Greg Allen Dray, 65, Chester Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for speeding, with a stop sign violation dismissed.

McKenna Rawson, 20, Lincoln Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $50 for unsafe vehicle, amended from speeding.

Lauren Brown, 37, Tomahawk Drive, Negley, was fined $50 for unsafe vehicle, amended from speeding.

Ty Allison, 45, Pittsburgh Street, Columbiana, was fined $250 for use of unauthorized plate.

Jeanna Murray, 41, Dyke Road, Rogers, was fined $325 for use of unauthorized plate and improper/expired registration.
