LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Troy Jones, 42, First Avenue, East Liverpool, was bound over to the county grand jury on a third-degree felony charge of tampering with evidence and misdemeanor obstructing official business for his alleged actions during a drug raid at his residence on May 12.
During execution of the search warrant, Jones was allegedly seen in the back yard and was given multiple commands to show his hands and stop moving, but instead ran into the residence while reaching into his waistband, ran upstairs and allegedly flushed an unknown amount of crack cocaine down the toilet, with pieces of crack cocaine on the toilet seat and in the toilet bowl.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set July 17 for Donovan Crytzer, 21, West Fourth Street, East Liverpool, charged with fifth-degree felony strangulation and misdemeanors of domestic violence and endangering children for allegedly physically strangling a woman by placing his hand around her neck until she could not breath on July 9 in East Liverpool, all while a child was nearby screaming and crying during the alleged assault.
A preliminary hearing was set July 20 for John Caputa, 43, Medina, charged with a third-degree felony compelling prostitution, fourth-degree felony attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and fifth-degree felony possessing criminal tools for allegedly arranging to have sexual conduct with a female he believed to be a 15-year-old in exchange for money and traveling to East Palestine on July 10 for the meeting.
A preliminary hearing was set Sept. 14 for Robert Malecki, 57, Orwell, charged with fifth-degree felony possession of drugs for allegedly possessing methamphetamine during an incident March 16, 2022 in East Palestine.
A preliminary hearing was set July 20 for Braeden Hambor, 21, Fairport Harbor, charged with third-degree felony compelling prostitution, and fifth-degree felonies of attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, possessing criminal tools and importuning for allegedly requesting sexual conduct form an undercover agent posing as a 15-year-old female in exchange for $160 and traveling to Salem on July 8 for the meeting.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set July 17 for George Sylvester Feezle, 48, Enon Valley, Pa., charged with fourth-degree felony domestic violence and drug paraphernalia for allegedly pushing a woman’s phone in an aggressive manor striking her in the face and threatening her during a domestic disturbance on May 22 in East Liverpool. He also allegedly possessed drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in St. Clair Township on July 9 while he was a passenger.
A felonious assault charge against Lonnie Barker, 40, Irish Ridge Road, East Liverpool, was dismissed without prejudice at the request of the prosecution due to the defendant being in federal custody on another matter and the prosecutor choosing to present the case directly to the county grand jury. Barker was accused of assaulting a woman in May in East Liverpool.
Russell Wilson, 40, Eastlake, was fined $750 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for possessing criminal tools and attempt, amended from engaging in prostitution. He was ordered to forfeit $200 to the East Palestine Police Department, complete 20 hours community service and complete a 12-hour prostitution prevention online course. Wilson was accused of responding to an undercover ad on a known escort website June 25, 2022 and arranging for sexual conduct with a female in exchange for $200, arriving in East Palestine on June 15, 2022 for the meeting.
A pretrial was set Oct. 2 for Ramon Yniguez, 56, Cambridge, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad posted on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $60, traveling to East Palestine on July 4 for the meeting.
A pretrial was set July 24 for Latroy McMillian, 28, Warren, charged with possessing criminal tools and soliciting for allegedly offering sex for hire on a known prostitution website and arranging for a meeting in East Palestine on July 7 for sex for hire in exchange for $150.
Mark Schweikert, 42, Enon Valley, Pa., was fined $1,625 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 160 days suspended and credit for four days served, for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs second offense, engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools. His driver’s license was suspended for two years and he was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour education course. Schweikert responded to an undercover ad of an 18-year-old female on a known prostitution website, arranged for sexual acts in exchange for $100 and arrived in East Palestine on Feb. 3 for the meeting.
Ollie Patrick Jr., 53, Mineral City, was fined $750 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour education course. Patrick was accused of requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent in exchange for $140 and arriving in Salem on Jan. 13 for the meeting.
Stephen Maggard, 32, Seminary, Miss., was fined $750 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour education course. Maggard responded to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranged for sexual conduct with a female in exchange for $140. He arrived in East Palestine on July 3 for the meeting.
A pretrial was set July 24 for Brandon Seddon, 31, Vine Avenue, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly slamming a woman’s head down onto the floor during an altercation and allegedly striking her in the face July 10 in Salem. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim.
A pretrial was set July 24 for William Naylor, 54, McCann Road, Kensington, charged with domestic violence for allegedly hitting a woman in the face three times with a backhand, pulling her hair, bumping into her and then later striking her on the top of the head on July 9 in Kensington.
Kerrie Steffel, 35, Barclay Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with credit for 13 days served, for a misdemeanor charge of harassing police dog for an incident June 27 on Barclay Avenue in Salem. Steffel was walking by the K-9 cruiser and opened the kennel door for K-9 Simon while he and his handler were on the scene of a domestic on Barclay Avenue in Salem. K-9 Simon was released, but obeyed officer commands to stop, not biting the defendant, and was placed back into the kennel.
Avery Lee, 38, Pritchard Avenue, Lisbon, was fined $100 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence, for shoving a woman to the ground and restraining her during an incident March 5 in Lisbon.
Keven Madden II, 30, Dan Smith Road, Wellsville, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 179 days suspended and credit for one day served for assault, amended from domestic violence, for pushing a woman down during a domestic dispute Jan. 25 in Wellsville.
A pretrial was set Oct. 5 for James Price, 33, Burford Street, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for 21 items totaling $189 at the Calcutta Walmart on July 3. He was ordered to stay out of Walmart.
A pretrial was set Sept. 21 for Kendall Roberts, 57, Grant Street, East Liverpool, charged with persistent disorderly conduct for allegedly being intoxicated and refusing to leave the Potters Club in East Liverpool on July 8 and continuing to yell after officers asked him to quiet down.
James Wilkes, Stagecoach Road, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 28 days suspended and credit for one day served for disorderly conduct. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Wilkes was found climbing out of the passenger window of a vehicle when police arrived to an accident in Liverpool Township on July 8 and was intoxicated, but said he was not the driver, who had allegedly fled. He admitted to drinking at a bar.
Megan G. Wilson, 33, Irondale, was fined $300 and sentenced to three days in jail, with credit for three days served, for possession of drug abuse instrument, possessing marijuana, lighted lights, tail lights and drug paraphernalia. On Aug. 17, 2022, Wilson possessed a bag of used hypodermic needles, a pack of new needles, suspected marijuana, a broken burnt glass pipe, a straw with white and brown residue, a burnt spoon with white residue and a plastic baggy with residue during a traffic stop in St. Clair Township and also possession drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in Columbiana on Aug. 25, 2022.
A pretrial was set July 24 for Adam Wolfe, 47, Newton Falls, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a plastic tube used to snort narcotics in his possession during an incident July 7 in East Palestine.
