LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set May 30 for Jordyn Nicole Price, 25, McKee Road, Wellsville, charged with fourth-degree felony burglary for allegedly remaining at an Avondale, East Liverpool property to commit theft after being told to leave by the homeowner when he left for work. She was ordered to have no contact with the victim or the Avondale, East Liverpool property.

Michael Berry, 41, New Castle, Pa., was fined $600 and sentenced to 17 days in jail, with credit for 17 days served, for resisting arrest, obstructing official business, possession of drug abuse instruments and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges stemmed from a Dec. 11, 2020 traffic stop in Columbiana when he refused to step out of the vehicle, had a meth pipe and had to be assisted to the ground after resisting.

A pretrial was set Aug. 21 for Kase Plunket, Carrollton, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an ad on a known prostitution website of two adult females and arranging for sexual activity in exchange for $220, traveling on May 20 to East Palestine.

A pretrial was set Aug. 17 for Stephen Kendall, 46, Mars, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a female for $50 and traveling to East Palestine on May 13 for the meeting.

A pretrial was set Aug. 14 for Kenneth Cundiff, 60, Norton, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent in exchange for $120 and driving to Salem on May 19 for the meeting.

William Tomlin, 53, Jennings Avenue, Salem, was fined $100 for disorderly conduct for being intoxicated at the rear of a Jennings Avenue, Salem residence talking to himself, thinking he was on his own property on July 26.

Richard Vecchio, state Route 164, Lisbon, was fined $150 and sentenced to 15 days in jail, and credit for two days served, for theft for stealing seven bottles of water from Circle K in Lisbon on May 18.

A pretrial was set June 5 for Derek Thompson, 28, Chester Avenue, Wellsville, charged with domestic violence for allegedly assaulting a woman in Wellsville on May 4 and throwing dishes on the floor and throwing a television off of its stand.

Kelly Hooper, 47, May Street, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 88 days suspended and credit for two days served, for possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia and ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Hooper was accused of possessing several syringes and a glass pipe commonly used for smoking meth during a traffic stop on Feb. 23 in St. Clair Township.

Theodore Cassinger Jr., 45, state Route 45, Salem, was fined $925 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 day suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program for OVI and speeding for a traffic stop on Aug. 20, 2021 in Butler Township. He was permitted to buy out 40 hours community service and his driver’s license was suspended for one year. He was also fined $150 for discarding litter for disposing of an aluminum can on April 27, 2022 in Washington Township. He was fined $100 for disorderly conduct for an incident in Lisbon on Sept. 23, 2022. He was fined $200 for charges of driving under suspension and no license, amended from driving under suspension.

Nelson Zelaya, 36, Oakland, Calif., waived extradition as a fugitive from justice wanted in California for failing to appear for a felony.

William Bell, 50, Steubenville, was fined $1,525 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 80 days suspended, with credit for five days served and three days in a driver intervention program, for endangering children, OVI, and two counts driving under suspension. Charges of park on highway and open container were dismissed. Bell was driving impaired on June 30, 2022 with three children in the vehicle stopped for traffic offenses in Elkrun Township. His driver’s license was suspended for one year and he was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.

A pretrial was set Aug. 15 for Michael Harroff, 41, Jimtown Road, East Palestine, charged with OVI first offense, OVI above .11 first offense, no motorcycle endorsement, speeding and tail lights.

Kristopher Dean, 48, New Springfield, was fined $915 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended, leaving three days to serve, for OVI second offense and left of center. His driver’s license was suspended for one year and he was ordered to complete 100 hours community service.

A pretrial was set Aug. 14 for Mary C. Turek, 68, South Main Street, Columbiana, charged with failure to comply and stopping at railroad grade crossing. On May 21, she allegedly went across the tracks with the gates down after being told not to cross by police who were there because the gates were stuck down in Columbiana.

Donald Nesselrode, 56, Blakely Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to nine days in jail, with credit for nine days served, for possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia for possessing several syringes and a glass pipe commonly used to smoke meth during a traffic stop on Feb. 23 in St. Clair Township. A pretrial was also set for Aug. 21 for a driving under suspension charge.

Reginald Pugh II, 35, Mapletree Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct for being intoxicated and trying to fight someone on May 13 in East Liverpool.

Brandon Hopkins, 24, Youngstown, was fined $300 for two counts of driving under suspension.

Ever Rubelio Ortiz Fernandez, 29, Henrico, Va., was fined $350 for distracted driving, left of center and no license.

Marlena James, 20, Center Street, East Liverpool, was fined $290 for equipment violation, amended from improper passing, and driving under suspension.

Joshua Griffin, 29, U.S. Route 62, Damascus, was fined $150 for possessing marijuana.

A pretrial was set Aug. 17 for Scott Beblo, 47, Boardman, charged with speeding.
