LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set June 22 for Troy Jones, 42, First Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, and a misdemeanor obstructing official business for his alleged actions when the Columbiana County Drug Task Force and sheriff’s office was executing a search warrant at his residence. He allegedly ran into the residence from the back yard while reaching into his waistband despite orders to show his hands and stop moving. Once inside, he allegedly ran upstairs and flushed an unknown amount of crack cocaine down the toilet, with pieces of crack cocaine seen by agents on the toilet seat and in the toilet bowl. He allegedly admitted to flushing crack cocaine.

A preliminary hearing was set May 22 for Holly Maddocks, 24, Thompson Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with second-degree felony burglary for allegedly breaking into the home of a family friend in East Liverpool, beginning to tear up the interior and drinking the homeowner’s alcohol.

A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set May 15 for Kristopher Simpson, 28, state Route 7, New Waterford, charged with third-degree felony intimidation and misdemeanors of resisting arrest, obstructing official business, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and reckless operation. Simpson allegedly made threats against a Salem police officer while on the way to the jail after resisting arrest and refusing orders of police during his arrest for traffic charges on May 14 in Salem.

A pretrial was set Aug. 1 for Steven Bachman, 51, Franklin, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools and two counts drug paraphernalia for allegedly responding to an undercover ad and arranging for sexual activity with a female in exchange for $80, arriving in East Palestine on May 12 for the meeting. He was also found in possession of a digital scale with white residue and an alleged crack cocaine pipe.

A pretrial was set Dakota Egnew, no date of birth listed, West High Street, Lisbon, charged with theft for allegedly taking $100 out of the register while working at Circle K in Lisbon on Sept. 16, 2015.

A pretrial was set July 3 for Thomas Aker, 33, St. George Street, East Liverpool, charged with criminal trespass for allegedly being at a residence on Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, on April 14 after being trespassed from Columbiana Metropolitan Housing Authority housing.

Robert Allison, 43, Weirton, W.Va., was fined $400 and sentenced to 15 days in jail for possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia for possessing several syringes, a digital scale, spoon with residue and mirror with residue and several bags of rock-like substances suspected to be methamphetamine.

A pretrial was set Aug. 3 for Indira Wrhen, 45, Maple Street, Salem, charged with theft for allegedly stealing $76 worth of items from Giant Eagle in Salem on April 30.

A pretrial was set Aug. 14 for Tracey Zoudali, 49, Thompson Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for 29 items totaling $334 at the Calcutta Walmart on May 8.

A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Kira Price, 34, Bloomfield Road, East Liverpool, charged with failure to comply (fleeing and eluding), driving under suspension, speeding, left of center, traffic control devices and marked lanes. Price allegedly fled from police attempting a traffic stop on May 13 in St. Clair Township, accelerating to speeds between 100 and 120 miles per hour and striking a tractor trailer in a construction zone, disabling her vehicle.

Benjamin Kenney, 31, Kirk Road, Columbiana, was fined $875 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for OVI and speeding. His driver’s license was suspended for a year, with driving privileges granted, and he was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. A charge of improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle was dismissed with prejudice at the request of the state, with costs taxed to the state. The seized firearm shall be returned to the defendant. The charges stemmed from a traffic stop on March 10.

A pretrial was set July 24 for Benjamin White, 27, Girard, charged with obstructing official business for giving a false name for the passenger of his vehicle during a traffic stop in Columbiana on May 13.

Christopher Shank, 57, Moore Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and received a suspended 90-day jail term for resisting arrest, a charge which stemmed from an incident Oct 23, 2022 in East Liverpool after a private property crash. He was also fined $915 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended and credit for 3 days served in a driver intervention program for OVI and right of way. His driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted. He was also ordered to complete 40 hours community service.

A pretrial was set May 25 for Christopher West, 29, West Pershing Street, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching a woman in the face, choking her and dragging her down the stairs on May 13 in Salem.

A pretrial was set Aug. 15 for Steven Bondoni, 43, Canton, charged with disorderly conduct, OVI first offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years and lighted lights required for allegedly becoming irate in the Salem police lobby after his arrest for alleged drunken driving and then going out into the street after being told to wait inside for his ride on March 4.

Autumn Lenart, 22, Andover, was fined $150 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 175 days suspended and credit for five days served, for falsification. She was ordered to complete 10 hours community service. Lenart was accused of claiming she was being held captive at an East Palestine residence and being guarded when that wasn’t the case.

A pretrial was set July 31 for Jennifer Rodden, 30, West Middletown Road, Beloit, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly screaming at officers during a traffic stop at Speedway in Salem on June 11, 2020 and hindering police.

A pretrial was set Aug. 1 for Joe Sears, 51, Ceramic Street, East Liverpool, charged with deposit litter, garbage, trash or junk on adjacent property on alley for allegedly failing to clean up litter on his property, which was noted on May 4.

A pretrial was set July 31 for Brandon Kessler, 39, 10th Street, Wellsville, charged with criminal trespass for allegedly trespassing on a state Route 45, Lisbon property on March 10.

A pretrial was set Aug. 7 for Michael O’Kelley, 52, Canfield, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense, OVI breath first offense and marked lanes.

Daniel Phalas, 47, Canterbury Court, Columbiana, was fined $150 for an equipment violation, amended from speeding.

A pretrial was set July 31 for Alexis Linville, 21, Spring Grove Road, East Liverpool, charged with OVI first offense and speeding.

Carol Jackson, 57, West Park Avenue, Columbiana, was fined $130 for driving under suspension and two lights displayed.

Robert Allison, 43, Weirton, W.Va., was fined $150 for no license.

A charge of driving under suspension against Ali Fardan, 30, Youngstown, was dismissed.
