Grand Jury

LISBON — Three drug defendants were served Saturday with secret indictments issued recently by the Columbiana County Grand jury for drug charges.

The defendants served included:

— Andrea Banfield, 34, Smithfield Street, East Liverpool, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on July 1, 2022.

— Justin Sprout, 42, Sophia Street, East Liverpool, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on April 23, 2022.

— Rishun Jones, 18, Youngstown, possession of fentanyl-related compound, a first-degree felony, aggravated possession of drugs, a second-degree felony, and possession of heroin, a fourth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing fentanyl-related compound in an amount equal to or greater than 20 grams but less than 50 grams, an amount of methamphetamine equal to or greater than five times the bulk amount but less than 50 times the bulk amount and an amount of heroin equal to or exceeding 1 gram but less than 5 grams, all on July 8, 2022.

Municipal

LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set March 2 for Terelle Taylor, 26, Homewood Avenue, Salem, charged with a fifth-degree felony improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle for allegedly having a gun and loaded magazine during a traffic stop for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He was also charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense and marked lanes.

A preliminary hearing was set Feb. 27 for Bryan Dilling, 51, state Route 7, Lisbon, charged with fourth-degree felony failure to verify change of address for allegedly failing to notify the sheriff’s office of his change of address on Feb. 15 as required for a registered sex offender

Julie Eiler, 41, Dillworth Road, East Liverpool, was fined $600 and sentenced to terms of 180 days and 90 days in jail, with 179 days suspended and 89 days suspended and credit for one day served, for assault, amended from domestic violence, obstructing official business and two counts criminal damaging. She was also ordered to pay $4,000 restitution to Roy Larkins within 180 days. She was ordered to perform 50 hours community service. Eiler was seen on video striking a Harley Davidson motorcycle with a sledge hammer and then pushing the motorcycle on its side after a physical altercation on Nov. 24, 2022 at a Steubenville Pike Road, Lisbon property. She also got into a truck belonging to Roy Larkins, driving recklessly around the property and crashing the truck into a large garage with an occupied upper apartment, causing damage to the garage and door. She initially lied to deputies about what happened.

Bryan Malone, 34, Grimms Bridge Road, East Liverpool, was fined $400 for domestic violence and intimidation, amended from disrupting public service. A second count of disrupting public service, a felony, was dismissed. He was also sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 30 days suspended and credit for 11 days served, and was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Malone was accused of punching a woman several times in the face on Feb. 4 and taking her cell phone when she was attempting to call for help.

Sean Corbett, 22, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $500 and sentenced to terms of 180 days and 30 days in jail, with 170 days suspended and 20 days suspended and credit for one day served, for assault and disorderly conduct, amended from assault. He was ordered to perform 100 hours community service and make restitution of $522.71 to his victim and stay away from his victim and the Flying Pig Saloon in Salem. Corbett struck a person over the head with a golf club on June 26, 2022 on state Route 172. The other case involved him being involved in a fight at the Flying Pig Saloon on June 13, 2022 in Salem.

Dewayne Slavicek, 51, Aliquippa, Pa., was fined $500 and sentenced to 14 days in jail, with credit for nine days served, for domestic violence and theft for attempting to assault a woman at the Mainland Gas Station in East Liverpool on April 14, 2022 and stealing 21 items totaling $768 from the Calcutta Walmart on Feb. 11.

A pretrial was set May 2 for Ronald Tice III, 36, Clarks Mill Road, Hammondsville, charged with domestic violence for allegedly assaulting a woman on Feb. 18 at the Hammondsville residence, grabbing her by the arms and shoving her against a car door and then grabbing her a second time and shoving the keys into the window, striking the victim.

A fourth-degree felony charge against Chelsea Rose Baker, 32, Brightview, East Liverpool, was dismissed due to improper paperwork to support the felony charge. Baker was accused of allegedly slapping a relative in the face and had to be pulled off of the person and then allegedly assaulted the other person.

Donald Burkett, 40, Warren, was fined $750 and given a suspended 180-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and forfeit $120 seized by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. Burkett solicited sexual conduct from an undercover agent in exchange for $120 and arrived in Salem on Dec. 8, 2022 for the meeting.

A pretrial was set March 2 for Philip ReRobbio, 43, Poland, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly arranging to meet an agent posing as an adult female for sexual activity in exchange for methamphetamine after answering an undercover ad then driving to New Waterford for the meeting Feb. 20.

A pretrial was set May 2 for Brandon Trimble, 37, Imperial, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly soliciting sexual conduct in exchange for $160 from an undercover agent posing online as two adult females and arriving Feb. 19 in East Palestine for the meeting.

Cagney Springer, 33, Center Road, East Liverpool, was fined $400 for assault and criminal damaging and sentenced to two days in jail, with credit for two days served. Springer damaged a storm door while entering a home in East Liverpool and attempted to cause harm to a person on Nov. 9, 2021. Springer was also fined $150 for driving under suspension and had a charge of improper registration dismissed. He was also fined $100, with the fine suspended, for two counts of zoning violations from 2021.

A pretrial was set March 2 for Sonja Gonzalez, 41, West Main Street, Washingtonville, charged with menacing for an alleged incident Feb. 18 in Washingtonville when she threatened someone with a furniture object. A charge of domestic violence was dismissed.

Sean McCarthy, Commerce Street, Wellsville, was fined $450 and sentenced to 10 days in jail, with credit for one day served, for two counts of theft and a count of possession of drug abuse instrument. He was ordered to pay $3.75 restitution to Dollar Tree in East Liverpool. McCarthy entered the Dollar Tree store on two separate occasions on Oct. 4, 2022 and stole three bottles of sweet tea from the cooler. The drug abuse instrument charge stemmed from his possession of syringes on Sept. 27, 2022 in East Liverpool.

A pretrial was set May 2 for Cheyane Anderson, 29, West Drury Lane, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for 20 items totaling $88 at the Calcutta Walmart on Feb. 13.

A pretrial was set March 2 for Mary Elizabeth Kiehl, 38, state Route 558, Leetonia, charged with theft for allegedly stealing a box of lighters at a store on South Lincoln Avenue, Salem on Feb. 19. She was also charged with driving under suspension for a Feb. 19 traffic stop.

A pretrial was set Feb. 27 for Thomas Akers, 33, St. George Street, East Liverpool, charged with violation of a protection order for being in the same room as the protected person on Feb. 20 in East Liverpool.

A pretrial was set May 2 for Stefani Ann Anderson, 32, Chester, W.Va., charged with theft for allegedly using a 30-cent Kool Aid tag to scan her merchandise at the Calcutta Walmart on Feb. 13, failing to scan and pay for 14 items totaling $80.

A pretrial was set May 2 for Steven Schobel, 55, Austintown, charged with disorderly conduct-intoxication for allegedly being drunk inside the Main Street Theater in Columbiana on Feb. 18 and for failing to heed warnings about his language.

A pretrial was set May 2 for Tony Hilton, 42, Blakely Street, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for 17 items totaling $95 at the Calcutta Walmart on Feb. 13.

Jordan Bailey, 24, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, was fined $250 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for reckless operation, suspended from operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. A charge of park on highway was dismissed. Bailey’s driver’s license was suspended for 180 days, with driving privileges granted.

Levi Sharp, 28, Youngstown, was fined $915 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for OVI first offense and failure to display valid sticker. His driver’s license was suspended for a year, with driving privileges granted. He was also ordered to complete 20 hours community service.

A pretrial was set May 4 for Malik Pullie, 25, Commerce Street, Wellsville, charged with driving under suspension and no seat belt.

A pretrial was set May 2 for Aaron Vanhorn, 19, Newgarden Avenue, Salem, charged with OVI first offense and OVI breath first offense.

A pretrial was set April 27 for Christopher Robinson, 40, Pritchard Avenue, Lisbon, charged with OVI second offense, driving under suspension and failure to control.

Nathan Brunch, 21, Alliance, was fined $150 for speeding.

A pretrial was set May 16 for Teresa McCoy, 67, Dormont Road, East Liverpool, charged with a tail lights violation and drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a cut straw with residue during a traffic stop Nov. 2, 2022 in St. Clair Township.

A pretrial was set March 21 for Josiah Swayngim, 39, Moore Street, East Liverpool, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a burnt pipe during a traffic stop on Feb. 15.

Alexis Wiley, 19, Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, was fined $250 for speeding and school bus stop sign.

Kirk Susany, 54, Canfield, was fined $150 for an equipment violation, amended from traffic control device.

Danny Williams, 28, Youngstown, was fined $75 for possessing marijuana.

Brian Gerren, 60, East Main Street, Salineville, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.

Scott Rogers, 29, East Washington Street, Salineville, was fined $150 for expired license and stop sign.

Dale Felger, 41, Taylor Road, Negley, was fined $180 for driving under suspension and loud exhaust.

A pretrial was set May 4 for Tamara Cook, 52, Bergholz, charged with a stop sign violation.
