LISBON — A former Wellsville man who trespassed in a woman’s house and threatened to harm her had his motion for judicial release denied in a drug case.
Cody Wilt, 31, whose current address was listed as prison, filed the motion in December seeking early release.
In the drug case, he had been sentenced to six months in prison, but consecutive to a term of three years to four and a half years in prison for charges of burglary, domestic violence and aggravated possession of drugs in a separate case.
He also filed a motion for release in that case which remains pending.
The aggravated possession of drugs case involved his possession of methamphetamine on Aug. 9, 2019.
The other case involved the incident at the woman’s East Liverpool home on Dec. 12, 2019 and his possession of methamphetamine on Sept. 2, 2019.
Grand Jury
LISBON — An East Palestine man already in prison for charges from a sex sting operation was served Wednesday with a secret indictment for charges of rape and gross sexual imposition involving a real child victim.
James Browne, 63, East Clark Avenue, was served with the paperwork at Belmont Correctional Institution. The December session of the Columbiana County Grand Jury issued the indictment for first-degree felony rape and third-degree felony gross sexual imposition.
According to the indictment, the alleged rape and sexual contact involved a 6-year-old victim from Oct. 1, 1996 to Dec 31, 1998.
Browne was sentenced to three years in prison on May 23 on charges of importuning and two counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles for soliciting sexual activity from a law enforcement officer he believed to be 12 years old during a sex for hire sting April 10 and 11 in 2019 and sending that person obscene materials.
Also served with a secret indictment was Billie Ingledue, 25, Franklin Avenue, Salem, charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a second-degree felony, with a forfeiture specification of money in a drug case for allegedly possessing an amount of methamphetamine equal to or more than five times the bulk amount but less than 50 times the bulk amount on March 9, 2022.

LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Joshua Corvino, 37, East Martin Street, East Palestine, was fined $750 and ordered to complete 20 hours community service and an online education course for possessing criminal tools and engaging in prostitution. Corvino arranged for sexual conduct in exchange for $240 with an undercover agent posing as a female and traveled to East Palestine on Oct. 19 for the meeting
A pretrial was set March 16 for Daniel Hocker, 59, Centerville, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly soliciting sexual conduct in exchange for $180 from an undercover agent and driving to Salem for the meeting on Sept. 7.
A pretrial was set March 13 for Austin Bennett, 25, Elyria, charged with possessing criminal tools and soliciting for allegedly soliciting sexual conduct in exchange for $400 from an undercover agent and driving to Salem for the meeting on Jan. 3.
Brandon Green, 30, Echo Dell Road, East Liverpool, was fined $1,050 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 170 days suspended and credit for one day served, leaving nine days to serve for domestic violence, driving under 12-point suspension, failure to comply, driving under suspension and left of center He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Green caused or attempted to cause harm to a woman on July 16 in East Liverpool, with the traffic charges stemming from traffic stops on July 20 and July 27 in East Liverpool.
James Godfrey, 54, East Fifth Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 25 days in jail, with credit for 15 days served, for domestic violence for pushing a woman to the ground during an argument on Dec. 19 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set March 21 for Patricia Bingham, 56, Washingtonville Road, Salem, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for several items at the Salem Walmart on Aug. 12, 2020.
Judith Wilson, 62, Continental Drive, Salem, was fined $150 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 29 days suspended and credit for one day served, for theft for stealing $15.49 worth of melatonin pills out of a bottle, placing them in her coat and leaving without paying at Salem Giant Eagle on Jan. 4.
Kayla Foster, 32, Harvey Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 23 days suspended and credit for seven days served, for misconduct at an emergency. She was also ordered to complete 40 hours community service. Foster was located at the scene of a fire on state Route 39, Wellsville on Oct. 1 and was refusing to provide information, yelling at Highlandtown firefighters and onlookers and refusing to cooperate.
A pretrial was set Jan. 12 for Lindsey Beebout, 31, Moore Street, East Liverpool, charged with criminal trespass for allegedly entering a vacant apartment at Fawcett Apartments in East Liverpool on Nov. 1. She was also fined $150 for driving under suspension for an unrelated traffic stop.

A pretrial was set March 21 for Courtney Fish, 34, Taggart Street, East Palestine, charged with criminal trespass for allegedly wandering around the parking lot trying to enter employee vehicles at Strohecker Industries in Unity Township on Jan. 4.
A pretrial was set March 23 for John G. Davis, 27, Petersburg, charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense, left of center and failure to control after allegedly leading police attempting a traffic stop on a high-speed chase on Dec. 31 in Columbiana.
Michael Spencer, 35, Haessly Road, Hanoverton, was fined $1,405 and sentenced to 90 days in jail for OVI, two counts driving under suspension, park on highway, two counts use of unauthorized plate and no seat belt. His driver’s license was suspended for three years.
Joni Romacko, 57, Alliance, was fined $875 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 154 days suspended, leaving six days to serve and 20 days electronically monitored house arrest for OVI, with her driver’s license suspended for two years.
A pretrial was set March 21 for Matthew Linzey, 53, Wooster, charged with OVI first offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years and failure to control.
A pretrial was set March 28 for Alex O’Rourke, 23, Glasgow Road, Lisbon, charged with OVI first offense, operating while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and left of center.
A pretrial was set March 21 for Sara Bauland, 30, Austintown, charged with OVI first offense and marked lanes.
A pretrial was set March 23 for Garrett Savage, 19, Miller Road, Leetonia, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath and marked lanes.
