LISBON — A man accused of leading St. Clair Township Police on a high-speed chase Nov. 5 appeared for arraignment in Columbiana County Municipal Court on Friday, with a preliminary hearing set Jan. 26.
Griffin Wright, Broadway Avenue, Wellsville, was charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony, after allegedly fleeing when a St. Clair Township police officer attempted a traffic stop. Wright had allegedly made an illegal U-turn and drove into a yard. During the pursuit, the vehicle’s tire blew out and the vehicle was riding on the rim, almost took out another vehicle, struck a few large rocks, went through a fence and struck a tree head-on.
A case was bound over to the county grand jury against Shai’quan West, 25, U.S. Route 62, Alliance, charged with domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony, after he waived his right to a preliminary hearing. West allegedly choked a woman and pushed her to the ground during a domestic incident on Nov. 21 in Knox Township. The charge was a felony due to a previous conviction against West for domestic violence.
John Haren, 57, Dillonvale, was fined $750 and ordered to complete 20 hours community service for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for soliciting sexual conduct from an undercover Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent in exchange for $100, arriving in Salem on Nov. 15 for the meeting in possession of the phone used to make the arrangements.
A pretrial was set Feb. 9 for Elizabeth Mary Schultz, 33, West Ninth Street, East Liverpool, charged with three counts of prohibitions concerning companion animals for allegedly failing on Jan. 7, 2022 to properly care for two dogs who were confined outside in extremely cold weather without adequate shelter and with food and water bowls full of snow, with both dogs dehydrated, flea infested and suffering from the conditions. One dog also had frostbite.
A pretrial was set Feb. 16 for Rachelle Brown, 35, Alderlick Road, Wellsville, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for 19 items totaling $178 at the Calcutta Walmart on Nov. 28.
A pretrial was set Jan. 24 for Aaron Francis, 37, last known address Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, charged with disorderly conduct and possession of drugs for allegedly smoking marijuana in his hospital room at East Liverpool City Hospital on Nov. 20 and becoming combative when told to stop, threatening to harm hospital staff and throwing his food tray.
A pretrial was set Jan. 31 for Elisha Binder, 24, West Third Street, Salem, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to control.
A pretrial was set Dec. 12 for Addison Sebastian, 24, Echo Dell Road, East Liverpool, charged with endangering children, possessing marijuana, OVI first offense, marked lanes, improper/expired registration and no seat belt for allegedly being impaired with a 1-year-old child in the vehicle during a traffic stop Dec. 1 on state Route 11 in Elkrun Township.
A pretrial was set Feb. 2 for Matthew Crowl, 44, last known address Benton Road, Salem, charged with possession of drug abuse instrument for allegedly possessing a loaded hypodermic syringe in his coat pocket while being taken into custody on a warrant on Dec. 2 on Benton Road in Perry Township.
Nicholas Scala, 29, Mantua, was fined $150 for driving under suspension and assured clear distance.
A pretrial was set Dec. 29 for Joshua McCaughtry, 32, Hookstown, Pa., charged with driving under suspension and marked lanes.
A pretrial was set Feb. 21 for Teresa McCoy, 67, Dormont Road, East Liverpool, charged with drug paraphernalia and a tail lights violation for allegedly possessing a cut straw with residue during a traffic stop Nov. 25 in St. Clair Township.
A driving under suspension charge against Keilia Sine, 32, McDonald Street, East Liverpool, was dismissed.
Thomas Byers, 55, Irondale, was fined $75 for headlight and plate light violations.
A pretrial was set Dec. 6 for Keith R. Burke, 51, St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with infestation and screening for allegedly allowing a vacant property he owns in East Liverpool to be found with an open door and obvious signs of a bed bug infestation Sept. 6, 2021.
A pretrial was set Dec. 12 for Gordon Gatrell Davis, 46, Harker Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a glass pipe with a burnt end and small bag of an unknown substance in East Liverpool Sept. 20 and theft for allegedly taking a postal package from a Wellsville home May 28.
A pretrial was set Feb. 14 for Vicky A. Robinson, 53, West Fifth Street, East Liverpool, charged with two counts of failure to file city income tax return for allegedly failing to pay East Liverpool income tax from 2014 to 2019.
A pretrial was set Feb. 14 for Jack J. Robinson, 54, West Fifth Street, East Liverpool, charged with two counts of failure to pay city income tax return and one count of failure to file city income tax return for allegedly failing to pay East Liverpool income tax from 2014 to 2019.
A pretrial was set Feb. 16 for Seth Maniscalco, 45, Youngstown, charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools for allegedly traveling to Columbiana Dec. 1 where he had arranged to pay $100 for sex and to smoke crack cocaine with an adult female in response to an online ad posted by a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent.
A pretrial was set Feb. 21 for Sean J. McCarthy, 36, Commerce Street, Wellsville, charged with two counts of theft for allegedly taking three beverages totaling $3.75 on two separate occasions from and East Liverpool business Oct. 4 and possession of drug abuse instruments for allegedly having syringes during an investigation of a suspicious person Sept. 27 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Feb. 21 for Christopher M. Swartz, 42, Wintersville, Ohio, charged with driving under suspension and speed.
A pretrial was set Feb. 23 for Jordan Michael March, 34, Center Road, East Liverpool, charged with OVI second offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years and driving under suspension.
Dawn R. Warren, 55, West Columbia, S.C., was sentenced to 180 days in jail (176 suspended, four credited), fined $250, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 20 hours community service and have no contact with the victim or Shenanigan’s Pub in Lisbon for assault in which she caused physical harm to the victim at the establishment Aug. 26.
Tabitha Lively, 40, East Liverpool Road, Lisbon, was sentenced to 180 days in jail (179 suspended, one credited), fined $350, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service and alcohol and a general mental health evaluation for theft and disorderly conduct for stealing $34.91 in merchandise from a St. Clair Township business while intoxicated July 27.
Meghan D. Fortune, 25, East Fifth Street, Salem, was fined $200 for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence.
Adrienna Marie Jackson, 31, Independence Square, Wellsville, was fined $100 for speed. A charged of driving under suspension was dismissed.
Tariq Larkins, 40, St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and fined $250 for aggravated menacing for sending threatening text messages to the victim March 6 in Salineville.
Jason RG Thompson, 22, East Taggart Street, East Palestine, was sentenced to 30 days in jail (28 suspended, two credited), fined $250, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 50 hours community service and substance abuse and general mental health evaluations for criminal trespass for breaking through several gates in a vehicle on private property in East Palestine Aug. 6. He was also fined $30 for a seatbelt violation in a separate incident.
Seaton I. Ruffner, 39, East Fifth Street, Salem, was sentenced to 10 days in jail (credited) and fined $100 for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for a physical altercation with a family member Oct. 3 in Salem.
Anthony Amato, 44, Canton, was sentenced to 180 days in jail (suspended), fined $400, had his license suspended for six months, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 20 hours community service and substance abuse evaluation for failure to stop after an accident and no driver’s license amended from driving under suspension.
Thomas May, 37, state Route 172, East Rochester, was sentenced to 180 days in jail (170 suspended), fined $1,150, had his license suspended for two years, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 20 hours community service and substance abuse evaluation for OVI second offense, driving under suspension, left of center, drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia.
Abraham Alberto Fernandez, 29, Geiselman Road, Minerva, was sentenced to three days in jail (one credited), fined $515 and had his license suspended one year for OVI, no driver’s license and left of center.
Kaleb J. Farnsworth, 28, 15th Street, Wellsville, was fined $400 for driving under suspension and marked lanes.
Joshua Lee McIntyre, 44, East Canton, was sentenced to 10 days in jail (credited), fined $595 and had his license suspended one year for OVI first offense, driving under suspension, improper backing and seatbelt.
Thomas Hipkins, 54, West 16th Street, Salem, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
Jordan Michael March, 34, Center Road, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 90 days in jail, fined $875, had his license suspended one year, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service and substance abuse evaluation for OVI first offense.
Ronald L. Read, 55, Conneautville, Pa., was sentenced to 30 days in jail, fined $500, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service and an anti-prostitution course for two counts of possession of criminal tools, one amended from engaging in prostitution.
Robert Lee Dyke, 55, Youngstown, was sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $500, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service and an anti-prostitution course for two counts of possession of criminal tools, one amended from engaging in prostitution.

LISBON — An East Canton man was sentenced to 30 months in prison after pleading guilty to multiple drug counts as part of a plea agreement in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.
Joshua McIntyre, 44, entered the guilty pleas to aggravated possession of drugs and possession of cocaine, both third-degree felonies, and aggravated possession of drugs and possession of heroin, both fifth-degree felonies, for an incident April 24, 2021 involving methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and 6-monoacetylmorphine, which is a metabolite of heroin.
Charges of aggravated trafficking in drugs and trafficking in cocaine were dismissed.
The sentence included a mandatory minimum fine of $5,000.
Also in Common Pleas Court,
— Corey Jones, 32, Cleveland, pleaded guilty to improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, with sentencing set on Feb. 27. Jones transported a loaded firearm in a vehicle within reach of the driver and any passengers on Feb. 9, 2022.
— Bobbi Jo Wilson, 23, East Taggart Street, East Palestine, pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, a specification for forfeiture of money in a drug case, and illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified government facility, a third-degree felony, with sentencing set on Feb. 13. The charges stemmed from two separate indictments, one for possessing methamphetamine and $1,116 on April 7, 2021 and the other from possessing methamphetamine in a restricted location on March 29, 2021.
