LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court Friday a pretrial and preliminary hearing was set Aug. 25 for Bryan K. Dilling, 50, Grant Street, Lisbon, charged with failure to register his address as a tier 1 sex offender, a fourth-degree felony, and misdemenaor falsification for allegedly registering a Grant Street, Lisbon, home as his residence Aug. 11. A verification conducted Aug. 18 revealed that he does not currently nor ever has lived at the home.
A pretrial was set Aug. 22 for Frank Vignoli, 66, state Route 170, East Liverpool, charged with assault and criminal mischief for allegedly slapping the victim in the face and attempting to break her arm by pulling it backward after damaging the door of her home and pulling a window air conditioner unit from a window.
A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Fred Leroy Struble, 22, Chain School Road, East Palestine, charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching, kicking and choking a member of the household Aug. 18.
A pretrial was set Oct. 13 for Diego B. Gonzales, 33, Youngstown, charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly beating on the cell door and screaming despite being told to stop while a corrections officer was attempting to conduct jail operations at the Columbiana County Jail Aug. 18.
A pretrial was set Nov. 8 for Dwight Lee Justice, 63, Dover, charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools for allegedly traveling to Salem Aug. 9 where he had agreed to pay $140 for sex with a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force undercover agent.
A pretrial was set Nov. 8 for Thomas A. Witherow, 62, Mesquite, Texas, for engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools for allegedly traveling to Salem July 28 where he agreed to pay $200 for three acts of sex with a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force undercover agent.
Shawn Paul Laberto, 55, Boardman, was sentenced to 30 days in jail, fined $850, placed on two years of probation and complete 40 hours community service and an anti-prostitution class for engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools.

EAST LIVERPOOL — In East Liverpool Municipal Court, bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety for Christopher Call, 46, Wyoming Avenue, charged with domestic violence. A pretrial was set Aug. 25 and Call was ordered to have no contact with the victim of the incident which occurred Thursday in East Liverpool.
An extradition hearing was set Aug. 25 for Robert K. Barrett, 38, West Ninth Street, who was picked up Aug. 18 by St. Clair Township Police as a fugitive from justice.
For a 2020 case, Barrett was fined $150 and ordered to serve 30 days in jail for receiving stolen property.
A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Shane Williamson, 45, Woodbine Avenue, charged with violating a protection order on April 12 in St. Clair Township. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim, her residence, place of employment or school within 100 yards.
A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Diego Gonzalez, 33, Youngstown, charged with criminal trespass for an incident Thursday in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Sept. 6 for Nicholas Dobson, 32, Ceramic Street, charged with driving under suspension.
Marlena James, 20, Seventh Avenue Lacroft, was fined $150 for driving under suspension and found not guilty of failure to control.
Shane Williamson, 45, Woodbine Avenue, was fined $60 for turn signal and tail and rear license lights violations.
Laurie Brennen, 50, Holliday Street, was fined $500, with $450 suspended, for a charge of return and payment of city tax.
Cases transferred to Columbiana County Municipal Court for hearings to be scheduled this fall include: Tyrone Davis, 49, Eighth Street, Wellsville, OVI second offense, driving under suspension and fictitious plates; Kory Flowers, 30, Washington Street, Wellsville, petty theft; Nicholas Landsberger, 21, Pancake Clarkson Road, Rogers, speeding and turn signal violation; Brandon Moore, 19, Annsley Way, offenses involving underage persons; and Dakota Baughman, 27, Brightview Drive, using weapons while intoxicated.
Allison Lemasters, 21, Malone Road, Salineville, was fined $160 for driving under suspension and tail and rear license lights.
Charles J. Smith, 42, West Ninth Street, was fined $100 for intoxication.
Defendants who failed to appear for hearings included: Javott Dawson, 19, Campbell, no license and lighted lights required; Sierra Valentine, 24, New Castle, Pa., possession of marijuana; and Aubrianna McGonigal, 32, Simms Aly, failure to file application.

LISBON — In Columbiana County Common Pleas Court, Adam L. Lodge, 30, Rose Drive, Lisbon, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for burglary, a third-degree felony and criminal damaging, a misdemeanor charge, with restitution of $220 ordered. Lodge broke a glass bowl and wall without the consent of the owner, Dana Wilhelm, when he went into her home on Nov. 28, 2021.
Justin Echols, 44, Lincoln Street, Salineville, was sentenced to three years in prison, with credit for 153 days served, after pleading guilty to failure to provide notice of change of address, a third-degree felony, and aggravated assault, a fourth-degree felony. The charges were from two separate indictments, with Echols accused of trying to cause physical harm to Mark Morris with a 2005 Chevy truck on May 19, 2021 and failing to register his address with the sheriff’s office by March 1, 2022 as required of sex offenders.
A status hearing was set Jan. 6 and a jury trial Jan. 18 for Alyssa McGuire, 29, Depot Road, Lisbon, charged with a fourth-degree felony of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and misdemeanors of obstruction of official business and endangering children. The charges stem from a Dec. 26, 2021 traffic stop on state Route 7 in Columbiana when weapons were found in the vehicle.
Patrick Henry Adams, 52, Fifth Street, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 12 months in prison for compelling prostitution, a third-degree felony, and obstructing official business, a fifth-degree felony, for attempting to solicit sexual activity from an undercover agent posing as a juvenile and attempting to hamper being taken into custody in East Palestine on July 18, 2021. Charges of engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools were dismissed.
Kenneth Eck, 66, Windsor, Va., was sentenced to nine months in prison for compelling prostitution, a third-degree felony, and attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, also a felony, with credit for one day served in jail. Charges of engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools were dismissed. On Aug. 8, Eck arranged to have sex in exchange for $200 with a 37-year-old woman and her 15-year-old daughter in East Palestine. Additionally, he reportedly was at the Girard Truck Stop with his semi and obtained an UBER ride to transport him to the meeting location.
Tony Staples, 25, Youngstown, pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in drugs, on a third-degree felony and the other a fourth-degree felony, with sentencing set for Sept. 23. The case dates back to Oct. 23, 2015 and Oct. 29, 2015 when Staples knowingly sold or offered to sell heroin.
Kayla McCreary, 28, East North Avenue, East Palestine, was placed on community control for three years and ordered to pay $15,882 restitution for illegal use of supplemental nutrition assistance program or WIC program benefits, a third-degree felony. She was accused of using the benefits not authorized by law from Nov. 1, 2017 to Oct. 31, 2020.
Kara Falkner, 27, Aliquippa, Pa., was ordered to serve a term at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center until the program is completed for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for possessing methamphetamine on June 12, 2020.
Timothy R. Boggs, 24, Railey Road, New Waterford, was sentenced to 10 months in prison, with 16 days credit, after pleading guilty to assault and escape, both fifth-degree felonies, for jerking away from police when taken into custody on July 18, 2021 and for harming a corrections officer on Jan. 18, 2022 at the county jail.
Raymond Drake, 34, Cleveland, was sentenced to six months in prison for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for possessing heroin on Aug. 9, 2019.
Christina A. Reed, 39, Chester, W.Va., was sentenced to 18 months in prison for three counts of escape, two of them third-degree felonies and the other a fifth-degree felony, with credit for 40 days served. Reed attempted to escape confinement on Aug. 6, Aug. 23 and Sept. 25, all in 2021.
Janlee Manypenny, 43, Benton Road, Salem, was resentenced with her intervention plan continued after violating the terms of intervention for two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for possessing drugs on Feb. 2, 2019.
Jason Bridge, 32, Beacon Light Road, Lisbon, was sentenced to 14 months in prison and lost his license for 10 years for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs or both, a fourth-degree felony, and misdemeanors of driving under suspension and failure to stop after an accident on Sept. 30, 2021.
Brian Campbell, 34, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, was placed on a treatment plan for three years after pleading guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, with credit for one day served in jail. Campbell possessed methamphetamine on June 20, 2021.
Michael Kirchell, 26, Church Street, Salineville, was placed on a treatment plan for three years, with credit for two days jail time, for improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of drugs for possessing a loaded handgun, drug paraphernalia and cocaine during a traffic stop Oct. 8 in Columbiana.
James Choate, 30, Salem Alliance Road, Salem, was sentenced to six months in prison for possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, for possessing cocaine on Feb. 28, 2021.
